Warchild and I arrived at Mohegan Sun with an hour to spare. We took advantage of the catering for the media in the back. Mohegan and Reality do a fantastic job on that. The place is starting to fill up now. The fight card tonight isn't star studded but it still have some big local names on it. There are many good match ups as The Artist talked about in the teaser the other day. Kipp, Joe Cuff and the rest of the reality crew have done a fantastic job on setting up. So far for local celebs I have seen Nick Newell, Nader. I thought I saw Matt Bessette running around with his shirt off but I could have been mistaken. The refs are Kevin MacDonald, Robert Hinds, Peter Rogers and Todd Anderson. I gotta give a shoutout to Zack Lynch who is also here taking photos. Torres misses with a looping right. Millan connects with a good right. Torres is bleeding over the eye. These guys are going at it. Torres gets in a leg kick. Millan connects with a clean shot and drops Torres. He tries to finish with a guillotine but Torres defends. He is working his back trying for a rear naked briefly then softening up with some shots as the round ends.

Rob gets in some combos and is working a takedown. He gets it and moves to full mount. He lays down some ground and pound with holding onto the cage once again. Not that it would change much but still. Joe gets back to his feet and is getting hammered with shots. The ref has seen enough and stops the fight.

Both fighters are being cautious. Fernanda rushes in with a combo. Dar'ya fires right back. Fernanda cloes the gap again and gets in a combo. Fernanda misses with a right hook. They clinch and Dar'ya gets in a knee to the body. They break and go at it right as the bell sounds.
Real close round but I give the edge to Fernanda for more strikes.

It was a great night of fights. I really like how they mixed up the amateur and the pro fights. I wish other promotions would do that but I have heard the commission won't allow it. To wrap up the things I noticed, Dirlei Broenstrup is a new force to be reckoned with out of Team Link. Zapata continued his winning ways and is looking better and better each fight. The Dar'ya and Fernanda fight showed once again why women's mma is not going anywhere. Tyler Rose made an impressive pro debut and won it with a slick submission.
