Premier FC 14 8/3/2013 Teaser

Premier FC is ready to return to the masses but this time in a new location.  They will be having their event at the Chez Josef in Agawam Mass.  The event is very much like the one at the Log Cabin and I believe it will all be set up the same.  The doors will open at 6pm and the fights should start around 7pm.  The card features 12 total fights with 3 title fights.  Standing tickets for the event start at just $25 dollars and are available here.  The card features many fighters who has fought for Premier FC in the past so the fans will recognize names such as Marvin Maldonado, Sarah Payant and many more.  Premier FC has announced this will be their last show for this year and they are ready to finish off this year with a bang.  Let me break down the card for you.

185lbs Chris Williams (Thunder 1-3)   vs.   Chris Tieman  (Thunder 0-0)

At 185lbs Chris Williams takes on Chris Tieman.  Chris is from Team Asylum and comes into this fight with a 1-3 record.  I was not able to find any information on Chris Williams so we will have to wait and see.  Chris Tieman is from Team Thunder and he will be making his amateur debut.

155lbs Kenny Peralta (Ind 0-0)  vs.   Jean Surin (Gladiator BJJ 0-0)

Next up is Kenny Peralta against Jean Surin at 155lbs.  Kenny is an independent fighter and will be making his amateur debut.  Jean is from Gladiator BJJ right here in Western Mass and will also be making his amateur debut.  I can't give too much insight into this fight being two fresh fighters but I can tell you Jean being from Gladiator BJJ will be more than ready for a battle.

125lbs Matt Bergen (Team Bergen 0-1)  vs.   Nate Russell  (Fighting Arts Academy 0-0)

Matt Bergen takes on Nate Russell at 125lbs.  Matt is from Team Bergen and has an 0-1 record.  He fought at the last Premier FC and lost by guillotine to Dan Krall towards the end of the first round.  Nate is from Fighting Arts Academy and will be making his amateur debut.  This is going to be a tough fight for Matt but I know he is ready for the challenge.  I expect this to be a fast paced fight and the crowd will be on their feet for sure.

135lbs Mike Piacentini (Coondog MMA 0-0)   vs.   Shaun Gilday (Legal Beatdown 0-0)

Then they have Mike Piacentini against Shaun Gilday at 135lbs.  Mike is from Coondog MMA and will be making his amateur debut.  Shaun is from Legal Beatdown in Springfield MA and will also be making his amateur debut.  I can't say much about Mike but I know that Shaun has been training hard for his debut and definitely does not want to leave that cage without his hand raised.

170 lbs TJ Holt (Battlecrew 0-1)   vs.   Mike Mangan (Thunder 0-0)

TJ Holt takes on Mike Mangan at 170lbs.  TJ is from Battlecrew MMA and has an 0-1 record.  He fought at Premier FC a few shows ago and lost in round 2 by tko to strikes to Rich Hunter.  He is hungry for his first taste of amateur victory.  His opponent Mike is from Thunder MMA and will be making his amateur debut.  Team Thunder is located in Connecticut for those of you who don't know.  This is going to be a good fight and I gotta give the slight edge to TJ with his one fight experience.

170 lbs Ray Johns (Thunder 1-3)  vs.   Andrew Chirico (Bruno Tostes 0-0)

At 170lbs Ray Johns takes on Andrew Chirico.  Ray is from Team Thunder and has a 1-3 record.  I wasn't able to find all of Ray's fight info but I know that he has lost twice at Premier FC.  He lost a decision to George Abele and this one was a great battle.  He also lost to Tyler Rose by tapout.  His opponent Andrew is from Bruno Tostes and will be making his amateur debut.  Andrew is not coming all the way from New York to leave with a loss.  This is going to be a good battle and I am feeling a decision.  We will see if Ray Johns fight experience will play a factor in this one.

140 lbs Dashawn Robinson (Ultimate MMA 0-0)   vs.   Mario Dias (Thunder 0-0)

Next up is Dashawn Robinson against Mario Dias at a catch weight of 140lbs.  Dashawn is from Ultimate MMA and will be making his amateur debut.  Dashawn trains with Tyler Rose and his team so I know he will be ready.  Mario is from Team Thunder and will also be making his amateur debut.

185 lbs Myles Reid (Dungeon 1-3)  vs.   Nate Graham (Bruno Tostes 0-0)

Myles Reid takes on Nate Graham at 185lbs.  Myles trains with Dungeon MMA and has a 1-3 record.  He is no stranger to Premier FC cage.  He won his first fight by submission and then since then has lost his last 3 and two of them by submission.  He has fought some tough fighters in his career though which should be noted.  Nate Graham is from Bruno Tostes and will be making his amateur debut.  We will have to see if Myles's fight experience is a factor in this one but I am sure Nate being from Bruno Tostes will adapt pretty quick to the cage.

Hvywt Rashid Evans( Asylum 4-0)    vs.   Danny Theriault (Ind 3-0)

Next up is the heavyweight showdown between Rashid Evans and Danny Theriault.  Rashid is from Asyulum and has an undefeated record of 4-0.  I don't think that record is right because I know I saw him lose to Eric Gendron at a AFO.  He has won one fight by submission, one by ref stoppage to strikes and one other split decision.  He is definitely a very entertaining fighter to watch.  Danny is an independent fighter and has a 3-0 record.  I was not able to find any information on Danny so I guess we will all have to wait and see  how this one goes down.  I, for one am hoping to see a big knockout!

170lbs Title Fight Antonio Kelly (Asylum 3-0) vs. Rick Rivera (Gladiator BJJ 4-2)

At 170lbs Antonio Kelly will fight Rick Rivera for the 170lb amateur title.  Antonio is from Team Asylum and has a 3-0 record.  Again I was not able to find much info on Antonio Kelly but I think he might have lost a split decision in Vermont unless that was a different fighter.  Rick is from Gladiator BJJ and has a 4-2 record.  He lost by submission in one of his fights.  He won one by submission and another one by decision.  The other fights weren't on the databases.  This should be a ground battle and it is set for five rounds.  I expect Rick to look to control this fight on the ground and we will see what Antonio's gameplan is.

125lb Title Fight Sarah Payant( Gladiator BJJ 3-2)   vs.   Danielle Hobieka (NY San Da 1-0)

Next up is the female 125lb title fight between Sarah Payant and Danielle Hobieka.  Sarah is 3-2 and trains with Gladiator BJJ.  She lost her first two fights, then dropped down to 125lbs and has been on a tear ever since.  She has won two by ref stoppage to strikes and one by submission.  Her previous opponent dropped out and Danielle Hobieka stepped in to take the fight.  Danielle is from NY San Da and has a 1-0 record.  She won her first mma fight by arm triangle and she has fought in many grappling tournaments. I would think Danielle would want to take this fight to the ground and try to get the submission victory.  Sarah should try to keep this fight standing and work her jabs and tire her opponent out.

135lbs Title Fight Marvin Maldonado (Bruto Tostes 6-5)   vs.   Justin Kristie (Ultimate MMA 1-0-1)

For the last fight of the evening Marvin Maldonado takes on Justin Kristie for the 135lb title fight.  Marvin is from Bruno Tostes and looks more impressive every fight he takes.  He has won the majority of his fights by decisions and a few by submission.  His last fight he fought Jeremy Reipold and won in the first round by submission.  For his losses he lost most of them by decision.  Justin trains with Ultimate MMA and comes into this fight with a 1-0 record. He won at the last Premier FC against Ian McEwen by submission.  This is going to be an awesome fight and I predict fight of the night right here!!

There you have the Premier FC 14 teaser.  It features 12 fights in which 3 of them are title fights which is the perfect number of fights.  Thanks to PFC for keeping us in the loop on this.  The Boss and Todd Results Selva will be in the house keeping us all up to date.  Fighters please sign up for a profile on sherdog.com and mmafighting.com and keep your info up to date.  It is a great way to promote yourself and so other people can look you up including me.  Don't complain to me that your info is not correct if you don't take the five minutes to keep it up to date!  I will gladly fix it in the teaser but only you can keep it up to date on the mma databases!  Ok, that is my rant, have a good day!
