NEF 'Cagefighting In Biddeford' 8/3/2013 Review

We made the hike up to Maine and are anxiously awaiting for the fights to start.  For vendors I see Occupy the Cage, Kill Their Will and Suckerpunch Athletics.  Warchild found a nice spot to perch and take photos.  John Vena will be the announcer for the evening.  Kevin the Ref and Jimmy Bickford will be the refs for the evening.  The new NEF ring girl Bree is here and looking great.  Joe Pingitore, Ray Wood, Jesse Erickson, John Raio, Bill Jones and Rockstar Felix are in the house.  Service is very limited in the building so I will do my best at updating with the live play by play.  The national anthem was sung by John Raio's son.  Great job!!  The place is starting to fill up and the fights are about to start.

Awards:

Fight of the Night: No Question, Buck Pineau vs. Isiah Queen.  They gave it there all!
Submission of the Night: Elias Leland's slick arm triangle
KO/TKO of the Night: Dom Cofone's looping right hand!
Blunder of the Night:  Slight delay at the start of the show, rather that the night went smooth.

This show was a lot of fun.  There were submissions galore, a couple of knockouts and an unbelievable finish to the night.  Everyone was in awe at Buck Pineau and Isiah Queen.  There were at least 4 times when that fight could have been finished.  The judges did a fantastic job that evening with all fair stoppages in my opinion.  1000+ fans filled the arena and it was loud as hell during that fight.  The PA system is pretty bad in that arena.  I don't know about the crowd but with just a little bit of chatter, I couldn't hear John Vena and his times.  Thanks to Vena for letting me know the times.  Thanks to the entire NEF crew for the hospitality.  If you don't know our routine, all of our photos will be posted on our fanpage so please make sure you support us by "liking" our fanpage.  If you enjoyed our review please share it with your friends.  Until next time thank you allowing us to "get you closer the cage!"  I will close out the review with a pic of just one of the things you missed from NEF if you didn't attend, Bree the ring girl!
