NEW ENGLAND FIGHTS ANNOUNCES FIGHT CARD FOR NOVEMBER 15 IN LEWISTON

[NEF Press Release]

Lewiston, Maine (October 28, 2014) – New England Fights (NEF), America's number-one regional fight promotion, today announced the full fight card for its next mixed martial arts (MMA) event, "NEF XV."  The card is currently set to feature a total of six professional and eleven amateur contests.  "NEF XV" is scheduled to originate from the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston, Maine on November 15, 2014 with a bell time of 7:00 pm.

In the main event of the evening, Bruce "Pretty Boy" Boyington (8-7) will defend the NEF MMA Lightweight Title against Jesse "The Viking" Erickson (3-3).   Boyington and Erickson met for the title at "NEF XIV" last month with Boyington taking the victory and the championship.  Some fans in attendance felt the second-round technical knockout stoppage by the referee was early, prompting NEF executives to sign the rematch.

Boyington's teammate at Young's MMA in Bangor, "The" Ryan Sanders (6-6) will look to get back on the winning track when he meets Florida's Mark DeFord (0-2) in a catchweight bout at 160-pounds.  Sanders has lost his two most recent fights after defeating MMA legend Marcus "The Irish Hand Grenade" Davis (22-10) in the biggest fight of Sanders' career last February.

On the amateur side of the card, "Dangerous" Dom "Hands of Stone" Cofone (5-4) and Caleb Hall (4-1) are scheduled to headline in a battle of former Maine State high school wrestling champions.  Auburn's own brother tandem Steven Bang (3-1) and Sheldon Bang (1-0) will both be in action, as will 54-year young Choi Institute product Mladin Holman (0-0) in his super-heavyweight MMA debut.

"This is going to be a really fun card to watch," said NEF co-owner and promoter Nick DiSalvo.  "There are a lot of new faces, some new teams, and fighters like Brent Dillingham, Artie Mullen, and Jamie Harrison who the fans haven't seen in a while.  You have Matt Denning going pro after a successful amateur run with us.  Then, you have Eli Leland and Derek Shorey coming off huge wins in their respective pro debuts last month.  This card is the perfect way to end a banner year for this company.  We hope all the fans can come out and join us for one last big NEF show in 2014."
