Perrin v. Caterino New Main Event of Combat Zone 63 Sept. 29 in Manchester

[Combat Zone Press Release]

MANCHESTER, NH- Professional MMA fighters Jay Perrin and Chris Caterino return to the Combat Zone cage on Friday, September 29 in the main event of "Mayhem in Manchester" at the Downtown Radisson Hotel with each looking for the victory to propel him into the top 10 bantamweight rankings.

Perrin (3-3), who hails from Hudson, NH and fights out of Team Triumph in Nashua and Sityodtong in Boston, comes into Combat Zone 63 after a second round loss to Regivaldo Carvalho in Bellator 178 last out on April 21. Two fights back, he notched a stunning first round KO victory over Chad Kelly in Combat Zone 60.

Gate City MMA standard bearer Caterino (1-1) intends to extend his winning streak after earning a TKO win by injury over Andy Aiello in Combat Zone 61 in his last effort.

The Perrin vs. Caterino fight was elevated to main event status after the Combat Zone MMA Amateur Bantamweight Title bout between Jake Pilla (5-2) and Fred Lear (6-2) was a late scratch due to an untimely  training camp injury suffered by former Featherweight champion Pilla.

The reshuffled card of 13 pro and amateur MMA and kickboxing matches now has Jeff Silva (2-3) from Lawrence, MA taking on Manchester's Ken Murphy (0-2), who is on the comeback trail after the Team Link Hooksett fighter dropped a pair of very close and contested fights, in the co-main event at 130 pounds.

The new Perrin vs. Caterino main event caps what promises to be an exciting and action-packed night of action featuring the top talent as well as rising stars on the Northeast fight scene.
