CES 63 TEASER 8/6/2021

Finally, the wait is over.  We have a new show in Western Massachusetts going on and what a show it will be!  I am talking about CES 63 that will be taking over the MassMutual Center on 8/6/2021.  Tickets are available at the link here.  The show will be an all professional mma bouts of a total of 10 fights.  Then if you are interested the following night there will be boxing coming to the same location courtesy of CES.  The card is stacked and it is definitely a show you don't want to miss.  If you can't make it then it is also available on UFC Fight Pass.  Warchild and I will be making the trip to cover the event for you all so make sure to keep checking our website and other social media for updates.  In the meantime, let me break down the fight card for you.  Keep in mind that this might not be the exact fight order.

155 PRO Kenny Champion (2-1 Golden Falcon)  vs.  Frank Mazepa (0-1 New York)

The first fight of the night will be between Kenny Champion and Frank Mazepa in the 155 lb division.  Kenny trains with Golden Falcon and comes into this fight with a 2-1 record.  In the win column, he has two very quick KO victories.  His one loss came by ground and pound in Round 3 at a previous Bellator event.  His opponent is Frank Mazepa and he comes out of New York.  He comes into this fight with an 0-1 record with his 1 loss by ko/tko in Round 1.  These guys are hungry to put on a show for the fight fans and I see it being an all out war.  Don't blink on this battle!

155 PRO Eddy George (2-0 FAA CT)  vs.  Kobe Bowen (0-0)

Then at 155 lbs Eddy George steps back into the CES cage against Kobe Bowen.  George trains with Fighting Arts Academy in CT and comes into this fight with a 2-0 record.  He has both of his wins by ko/tko to strikes in Round 1.  His opponent is Kobe Bowen and will be making his pro debut.  George will be looking to continue his win streak and to make quick work out of Bowen.  This should be a good one.

170 PRO Sage Philippe (0-0 Team Link) vs.  Thad Jean (0-0 Florida)

Next up is at 170 lbs Sage Philippe will be squaring off against Thad Jean.  Sage will be making his much awaited pro debut out of Team Link.   As an amateur, he went 4-1 with 1 ko/tko and 3 decision victories.  His opponent is Thad Jean and he is fighting out of Florida.  He will also be making his pro debut.  As an amateur he went 5-2 with 2 ko/tko, 2 submission and 1 decision victories.  As you just read, their records are virtually identical and they are both very well rounded.  I see this one being a back and forth battle.

155 PRO Nick Fiore (1-0 Renzo Gracie NH)  vs.  Shaquan Moore (1-3 Fusion MMA)

Then at 155 lbs Nick Fiore will be facing Shaquan Moore.  Nick trains with Renzo Gracie NH and comes into this fight with a 1-0.  His sole win by submission in Round 1.  His opponent is Shaquan Moore and he trains out of Fusion MMA.  He comes into this fight with a 1-3 record with his 1 win by split decision.  For the 3 fights that he lost, he lost them by 1 split and 2 unanimous decision.  I see this fight being a ground back and forth battle.  Nick will definitely be looking for the submission but as Moore has shown he is tough to finish.

145 PRO Tom Pagliarulo  (1-0 Burgess MMA) vs.  Josh Hardy (0-0 VT)

At 145 lbs Tom Pagliarulo will be fighting Josh Hardy.  Tom trains with Burgess MMA and comes into this fight with a 1-0 record.  He won his first pro fight by corner stoppage in Round 3 at CCFC 92.  He is ready to fight once again in New England in front of his fight fans.  His opponent is Josh Hardy and he trains out of VT.  He will be making his pro debut and as an amateur he went 5-4 with 1 ko/tko, 2 submission and 2 decision wins.  I have not seen Josh Hardy fight yet but I can tell you that Pagliarulo is tough as nails and has never been in a boring fight.  I expect this one to be a fast paced stand up war.

135 PRO Ashiek Ajim (3-1 Long Island MMA)  vs.  Carlos Espinosa (6-4 Florida)

Next up is a fight at 135 lbs between Ashiek Ajim and Carlos Espinosa.  Ajim trains out of Long Island MMA and comes into this fight with a 3-1 record.  In the win column, he has 2 ko/tko and 1 by decision.  His only loss came to Kris Moutinho at previous CES 61.  His opponent is Carlos Espinosa and he trains out of Florida.  He comes into this fight with a 6-4 record with 3 ko/tko, 1 submission and 2 by decision.  For his losses, he lost 1 by submission and 3 by decision.  This is another well matched fight that should be a fun one.

185 PRO Ozzie Alvarez (8-6 King's MMA)  vs.  John Howard (28-16-1 FAF Gym)

At 185 lbs Ozzie Alvarez will be squaring off against John Doomsday Howard.  Ozzie trains with King's MMA and comes into this fight with an 8-6 record.  In the win column he has 4 ko/tko, 2 submission and 2 by way of decision.  For his losses, he has 2 by ko/tko and 4 by decision.  His opponent is John Howard.  If you haven't heard of him in New England than you must be living under a rock!  He trains out of FAF gym and comes into this fight with a 28-16 record.  In the win column, he has 9 KO/tko, 8 submissions and 11 decisions.  For his losses, he lost 4 ko/tko, 2 submission and 10 by decision.  He is a former UFC Vet and has been fighting since 2004!  I see this one going the distance and being a ground battle.

145 PRO Kody Allen Murray (0-0 VT)  vs.  Miguel Cuevas (1-0 Team Link)

Then Kody Allen Murray will be taking on Miguel Cuevas at 145 lbs.  Kody trains out of VT and will be making his pro debut.  As an amateur he went 5-3 with 1 ko/tko, 3 submission and 1 by decision.  His opponent is Miguel Cuevas and he trains with Team Link.  He comes into this fight with a 1-0 record with his 1 win by KO/TKO at a previous Reality event.  I see this fight being a grinding ground battle between the 2 fighters.

135 PRO Chris Disonell  (5-4 Renzo Gracie Latham) vs.  Will Smith (3-3 Golden Falcon)

At 135 lbs Chris Disonnell will be facing off against Will Smith.  Chris trains with Renzo Gracie Latham and comes into this fight with a 5-4 record.  In the win column, he has 1 ko/tko, 1 submission and 3 by decision.  For his losses, he lost 1 ko/tko, 1 submission and 2 by decision.  His opponent is Will Smith and he trains with Golden Falcon.  He comes into this fight with a 3-3 record with 1 ko/tko and 2 decision victories.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko and 2 by decisions.  I see this fight being a ground battle between the two.  I also see this one going the distance.

125 PRO Carlos Candelario (7-0 Underdog)  vs.  Miguel Restrepo (5-5-1 Florida)

At 125 lbs Carlos Candelario will return to the cage against Miguel Restrepo.  Carlos trains with Underdog and comes into this fight with a 7-0 record.  For his wins, he has 2 ko/tko, 3 submission and 2 by decision.  His opponent is Miguel Restrepo and he comes into this fight with a 5-5 record.  For his wins, he has 3 ko/tko and 2 by decision.  For his losses, he has 2 by submission and 3 by decision.  I see this one being a stand up battle.
