--THE LEAD-IN--
NEF returns to Bangor Maine at the Cross Center for their 62nd fight to date. They have 11 fights on the card with a few dropping off last minute. 4 of the 11 battles will be professional ones and the rest are amateur. NEF is playing off of Star Wars May the 4th with their Stars of War poster and I for one love it being a huge star wars fan. The fight card will feature two NEF pro veterans on this card and I am referring to the battle between Bruce Boyington and Matt Denning. The national anthem has been sung so please follow along as I recap the night.

135 AM TITLE Jackson Campbell (Young's MMA) vs. Jordan Varney (Dawghouse)
Rd 1: Jackson gets the takedown and is working the guard. He passes to half guard and gets in a little ground and pound. Jordan works his way up and slams Jackson. He gets in a few punches and Jackson stands back up. They are in the center of the cage when the round ends.
Campbell 10-9
Rd 2: They both exchange leg kicks and Jackson gets the double leg takedown. Jackson controls the round on top with some ground and pound and wins the round.

Rd 3: Jackson once again gets the quick takedown and controls the round on the mat. Jordan tries to work his way up and Jackson gets in some more shots to make him pay.

Rd 1: Jayce is 6'3 and gets the better of the striking. Alex gets the takedown and Jayce gets a leg triangle from the bottom. He gets the tap.

Rd 1: These guys are standing and banging for 90 seconds to start off the round. Harry gets the takedown and is looking for the arm triangle. Hunter slips out and they are back to their feet. Harry is pressing Hunter up against the cage as the round ends.
Dwyer 10-9
Rd 2: Dwyer gets in a kick to the body. Harry presses Hunter up against the cage and they break to the center. They are both slugging it out.
Darling 10-9
Rd 3: Dwyer showing some fatigue this round. Hunter is getting in some very good striking and winning the round. Dwyer tries to go for some takedown and gets 1. Hunter works his way up and they are striking for the last 30 seconds.

Rd 1: Isaac tries for a takedown and Jay makes him pay with some knees to the body. Jay connects with a looping right. Isaac tries for a heel hook and now Jay has the back. He hooks the neck and leans back and gets the tap.

Rd 2: They start out striking and Gabby gets Kat down. They get tangled and scramble on the ground. Kat ends up taking the back and gets the rear naked choke.

Rd 1: Both fighters take each other's back briefly. Henry tries for a rear naked choke but he falls off. PJ gets in a few strikes. Billy gets a guillotine as the round ends.

Rd 2: Billy gets the takedown and has the side. Billy ends up on top as the round ends.
Crawford 10-9
Rd 3: PJ gets the takedown and ends up in guard. PJ controls on top most of the round. They scramble towards the end.

Rd 3: Stand up war and Jarrod connects with a right that drops Taylor to the mat. He is on top dropping elbows. Tobiaus works his way up and connects that drops Jarrod. They work their way up and are swinging away. Ref stops the fight to check the cut of Taylor. Fight resumes and they are standing and banging.

Rd 1: Bruce starts us off with a spinning back kick that connects in the cup. Fight resumes and Matt tries for a guillotine. Bruce is fighting it and gets out. Bruce has half guard and is looking to drop some elbows. Bruce takes the back and gets under the neck for the tap.

135 PRO TITLE Nick Eldridge (Nostos) vs. Tim Fargo (Ultimate Athletics)
Rd 1: Tim gets the takedown and controls on top for a bit. Nick works his way up and they stand and strike for the remainder.
Rd 2: They stand and strike for a bit. Nick gets the takedown and takes the back. He gets a body lock and is trying for a rear naked choke. He keeps softening him up with some punches and tries for the rear naked choke again. He flattens him out and gets in some heavy shots trying for the finish but Nick runs out of time.
Eldridge 10-9
Rd 3: Nick gets a takedown and is in full mount dropping hammerfists. He ends up getting the stoppage after a few minutes.
