BREAKING--ZAC ‘ROCKY’ RICHARD RETURNS AT NEF 46 AGAINST FLORIDA’S OSORIO

[NEF PRESS RELEASE]

Portland, Maine (December 8, 2021) – New England Fights (NEF) returns with its next mixed-martial-arts (MMA) event, “NEF 46: Decade of Dominance,” on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Aura in Portland, Maine. The event will commemorate NEF’s ten-year anniversary. The leading regional promotion launched on February 11, 2012. Earlier today, NEF announced the addition of a professional catchweight bout to the fight card. Former NEF Amateur Lightweight Champion Zac Richard (1-0) is scheduled to take on Urias Osorio (0-0) at a fight weight of 140-pounds.

Zac Richard made his professional debut last month at “NEF 45: Uprising” when he stopped Carl Langston (0-6) in the first round. Richard made the move to the pro ranks after putting together a 6-3-1 amateur record. During his amateur run, Richard captured the NEF Amateur Lightweight Championship. In both his amateur and professional careers, Richard has only lost once inside the NEF cage. Prior to his success in MMA, fan-favorite ‘Rocky’ was a standout on the wrestling mat. Richard won a state title in 2015 as a senior wrestling for Massabesic High School in Waterboro, Maine. Richard represents Evolution Athletix based in Saco, Maine.

“I’m very excited to get back in the cage and be on NEF’s ten-year anniversary card against Urias Osorio,” Richard stated. “He’s a good boxer but I’m going to bring the pressure and smash him against the cage, on the ground. He’s going to wish it was a boxing match.”
