Jeremy Reipold and I arrive at the venue at about 6:00 pm. This venue is very nice. It reminds me of a wedding, high school prom, Jack and Jill, that sort of thing. The red and blue corners are set up upstairs on opposite ends of the room. The fighters are to walk down the stairs and down an aisle through the middle of the crowd to enter the cage. A very nice set up. I am seated in a great spot right up against the cage and sharing a table with one of the judges. You cant get any closer than this unless you are in the cage. The sound system is legit and the cage is well lit. The doors open and the venue begins to fill with fans. The fights are now underway.
FIGHT 1:
CHRIS TIERNAN VS. CHRIS WILLIAMS
ROUND 1: They come out striking. A brief exchange on the feet. Williams clips him with at right hand dropping him to his feet. The ref stops the fight.

FIGHT 2:
MATT BERGEN VS. NATE RUSSELL
ROUND 1: Matt jumps guard. Nate looks to pass. Nate passes to side control and then he mounts. Nate lands unanswered strikes for the tko victory.

FIGHT 3:
MIKE PIACENTINI VS. SHAUN GILDAY
ROUND 1: They clinch against the cage. They battle for position. A brief scramble and they go to the ground. Gilday defends the guillotine attempt and lands some good gnp to end round 1.
ROUND 2: They go right back to the ground and Gilday is on top. He passes to side control and controls the fight. Gilday looks strong on top. He works diligently and then passes to mount. He lands unanswered strikes for the ref stoppage. Great job kid! We look forward to seeing you fight in the near future.

FIGHT 4:
TJ HOLT VS. MIKE MANGAN
ROUND 1: They clinch and go to the ground. Mike is on top and passes to mount. He lands some strikes from the top and TJ taps out.

FIGHT 5:
RAY JOHNS VS. ANDREW CHIRCO
ROUND 1: Andrew takes him down immediately. He passes to mount and works some good gnp. Ray looks to get to his feet and leaves an arm unprotected.. Andrew takes that arm home for the win.

FIGHT 6:
DASHAWN ROBINSON VS. MARIO DIAS
ROUND 1: They exchange strikes on the feet. Dashawn gets a nice crowd pleasing takedown. He passes guard, lands a few strikes and takes control of Mario's back. He sinks in the rear naked choke for the tapout.

FIGHT 7:
KENNY PERALTA VS. JEAN SURIN
ROUND 1: They exchange strikes. A brief stop in the action due to an unintentional low blow by Jean. They go back to action. They clinch and battle for position. They go to the ground. Jean controls from the top. They get back up and go back down to the mat to end the round.
ROUND 2: Jean takes him down. He works some gnp from guard. Kenny controls well from the bottom and gets on top in a scramble. He takes Jeans back and looks to sink in a choke. The round ends.
ROUND 3: Kenny takes him down and moves to the mount position. Jean reverses and gets on top. He looks to do some damage, but Kenny defends well. They go back to their feet and clinch. Jean gets the takedown. The round ends. What a good fight!

FIGHT 8: 170 LBS TITLE FIGHT
ANTONIO KELLY VS. RICK RIVERA
ROUND 1: They come out and exchange. Rick takes him down and passes to side control. Rick is relentless with his pressure on top. He passes to mount and gets swept. Antonio is in Ricks guard now. The round ends as Antonio tries to do damage, but Rick defends well.
ROUND 2: They clinch and separate to exchange strikes. Rick takes him down and goes to work. He passes to mount and controls from the top. Rick works some nice gnp from there. Ten seconds left and Rick throws up an armbar, the ref stops it. An early stoppage in my opinion as Antonio didn’t tap and 3 seconds left, but hats off to Rick Rivera. An impressive performance. Great fight to watch.

FIGHT 9:
MYLES REID VS. NATE GRAHAM
ROUND 1: Myles is Jacked! They exchange punches. Nate gets a takedown and passes guard. He works some good gnp from the top. Great control as he lands some hard strikes for the ref stoppage.

FIGHT 10: 125 LBS TITLE FIGHT
DANIELLE HOBEIKA VS. SARAH PAYANT
ROUND 1: They clinch and go to the ground. Sarah sets up a tight guillotine but Danielle defends well and gets out. They battle for position on the ground. Danielle gets Sarahs back and sinks in the rnc for the submission victory.
YOUR WINNER AND NEW 125 LBS CHAMPION VIA SUBMISSION RNC DANIELLE HOBEIKA
FIGHT 11: 135 LBS TITLE FIGHT
JUSTIN KRISTIE VS. MARVIN MALDONADO
ROUND 1: They go to the ground. Justin mounts and works some gnp. He looks for an arm triangle but is unsuccessful. Justin has some vicious striking on the ground. He is very strong from the top. Very impressive.
ROUND 2: They clinch and go right back to the ground. Justin is on top but lets Marvin up. Marvin lands a devastating kick to the face. They clinch and go back to the ground. Marvin is on top and lands some strikes. They go back to the feet and end the round in the clinch battling for position. Justin looks gassed at the end of the round.
ROUND 3: They clinch and Marvin gets the takedown. Justin's right eye is swollen and Marvin continues to punish him from the top. He lands some hard strikes from that position and the ref stops the fight. Excellent fight to watch. Marty Caproni announces this as fight of the night!
