[ECFC Press Release]

Lowell, MA – July 20, 2014 East Coast Fighting Championship (ECFC) today announced its plans for ECFC 2 on September 12th at 7:30 PM at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium. ECFC 2 will feature the ECFC Bantamweight Tournament Championship bout between Joey “The War Machine” Gomez and Pedro “The Beast” Gonzalez, the winners of their semi-final tournament bouts at ECFC 1 in June. Our main event will feature a professional 200 lb. catch-weight bout between Mike Zichelle and Jon Doyle. We’ll also see Lowell’s own Joe Cloutier and versus Team Triumph’s Mike Hurlburt in what is sure to be a welterweight bout to be remembered; Hurlburt coming off a spectacular submission win in ECFC 1. Finally Lowell’s Soap Am will take on Robby LaRoux in a professional bantamweight bout. Our fans really enjoyed our female bout at ECFC 1. We listened, and are bringing the semi-finals of our female amateur tournament to ECFC 2. Some of the top local females will compete for the opportunity to advance to the tournament championship in ECFC’s first female amateur tournament championship at ECFC 3. Plenty of exciting amateur bouts with some of the top local amateurs will round out the card. An exciting pre-fight bock party starting at 5:30 will get the crowd prepared for a great night of fights, with vendors, giveaways, fan photo opportunities and an exciting show. Doors open at 6:30 PM.We’re pleased that we are again partnered with the Lowell Transitional Living Center and will be hosting a 50:50 raffle for their benefit.

“The feedback and support that we got at ECFC 1 was phenomenal and our fans (young and old) are still talking about June 13th. We were able to accomplish all three of our core missions: great fights, a great show, and a benefit for the community. ECFC 2 will continue to build upon the tremendous show we had in June. Our bantamweight tournament championship bout is sure to be talked about for years. If you liked ECFC 1, you’ll love ECFC 2”, said Brian Gillespie, one of ECFC’s Founders.
