Combat Zone has been hard at work finishing up their fight card for their 59th installment and it is going to be an awesome one. There are a total of 15 fights on the card and it is going to be a mixed martial arts and a kickboxing event all in one. There are 5 professional mma fights and also one amateur mma title fight which will be sure to please the crowd. The doors will be opening up at 5:30pm and the first fight is set to kick off at 7:00pm. If you have never been to a Combat Zone show before I highly recommend you come and check it out because it is a great time. Let me break down the card for you in its entirety. I will not be breaking down the kickboxing portion but it will be in the order below.

150 AM KICK Juan Meneses (0-0) First Class vs. Justin Brookings (0-0) NETT
170 AM MMA Ethan Adamczyk (0-0) IND vs. Dwight Barahona (0-1) Chang's TKD
In the first mma fight of the night Ethan Adamczyk will be taking on Dwight Barahona. Ethan is an independent fighter and he will be making his amateur debut. His opponent is Dwight Barahona and he trains with Chang's TKD. Dwight fought his first fight for Combat Zone against John McAndrews and lost via ko in just 47 seconds of Rd 1. He didn't really get enough time to show what he has but now is another chance. This should be a great first mma fight as both fighters are very young in their mma career.
220 AM MMA Matt Bubar (0-0) Team Irish vs. Christian Smith (0-0) Spero's MMA
In the second mma fight of the night Matt Bubar will face off against Christian Smith at 220 lbs. Bubar trains with Team Irish and will be making his amateur debut. Also making his amateur debut is his opponent Christian Smith who trains out of Spero's MMA. Two fresh fighters looking to show the Combat Zone fans what they are made of!
170 AM MMA Isiah Ocasio (0-1) Ocasio's Martial Arts vs.Jimmy Halkiotis (0-0) Spero's MMA
Next up at 170 lbs is Isiah Ocasio against Jimmy Halkiotis. Ocasio trains with Ocasio's Martial Arts and comes into this fight with an 0-1 record. He lost his first mma fight against Dave Clemens back in 2011 for Combat Zone by decision. Five years later, he is stepping back into the cage! His opponent is Jimmy Halkiotis and he trains with Spero's MMA. Jimmy will be making his amateur debut. Another well matched fight which should make for an awesome battle.
190 AM MMA Tommy Lee Davis (2-0) Juniko vs. Jordan Faulkner (2-1) Spero's MMA
At a catch of 190 lbs Tommy Lee Davis will be fighting Jordan Faulkner. Davis trains with Juniko and comes into this fight with a 2-0 record. Tommy is undefeated in his first two fight and has won them both by ko/tko to strikes. This will be his 3rd promotion he is fighting for in his amateur career and he has been exciting in every fight so far. His opponent is Jordan Faulkner and he trains with Spero's MMA. He comes into this fight with a 2-1 record with 2 wins also by ko/tko. His only loss came against John McAndrews who won by decision. Both of these fighters are highly entertaining and I see this one being a potential for fight of the night.
125 AM MMA Maria Rivera (0-0) Framingham's TKD vs. Rachel Reinheimer (2-0) Syt
At 125 lbs Maria Rivera is set to fight Rachel Reinheimer in the Combat Zone cage. Rivera trains with Framingham's TKD and she will be making her amateur debut. Her opponent is Rachel Reinheimer and she trains out of Sityodtong. She comes into this fight with a 2-0 record with both wins by way of decision. I see this fight being an exciting one and I see it being a strikefest going to a decision.
150 AM MMA Jack Greene (2-3) IND vs. Nick Fiore (0-0) Renzo Gracie NH
At a catch weight of 150 lbs Jack Greene will be fighting Nick Fiore this Friday. Greene is an independent fighter and comes into this fight with a 2-3 record. In the win column, he has 1 win by ko/tko and 1 win by decision. In all 3 of his losses, he lost by decision. He hasn't fought since 2013 and is looking to get back into this cage. His opponent is Nick Fiore and he trains with Renzo Gracie NH. Nick will be making his amateur debut. In this fight Greene has the experience and proven he can go the distance. Fiore hasn't fought yet so he will have his work cut out for him but I am sure he will be more than ready.
170 PRO MMA James Rodriguez (0-0) Crowsnest vs. Matt Miller (0-0) PMA
In the first pro mma fight of the night James Rodriguez will take on Matt Miller. Rodriguez trains out of Crowsnest team and will be making his pro debut. His opponent is Matt Miller and he trains with Rick Hawn's PMA and will also be making his pro debut. To my knowledge, I don't believe either of these guys have fought amateur mma so we will all have to wait and see how this one pans out but it should be a good one!
160 PRO MMA Chris Torres (0-0) Crowsnest vs. Collin Baikie (1-1) PMA
Next up is Chris Torres taking on Collin Baikie at 160 lbs. Torres trains with Crowsnest and will be making his pro debut. His opponent is Collin Baikie and he trains with PMA. He comes into this fight with a 1-1 record with 1 win by ko/tko and 1 loss by ko/tko. I have never seen either of these guys fight but something tells me this one is going to be a standup battle.
155 PRO MMA Ran Weathers (18-23) Gracie Barra vs. Lucas Cruz (7-4) SYT
Then they have Ran Weathers taking on Lucas Cruz at 155 lbs. Weathers trains with Gracie Barra and comes into this fight with an 18-23 record with 6 KO, 9 sub and 3 wins by decision. For his losses, he lost 2 ko/tko, 4 sub and 17 by decision. He is having a bad streak with 8 straight losses. His opponent is Lucas Cruz and he trains with Sityodtong. He comes into this fight with a 7-4 record with 2 ko/tko, 4 sub and 1 decision. For his losses, he lost all 4 by decision so he has never been finished. Weathers was a last minute replacement for Lucas and I see Cruz winning this one by submission in Rd 2.
185 PRO MMA Buck Pineau (1-3) Team Irish vs. Tim Caron (5-0) Burgess
At 185 lbs Buck Pineau squares off with Tim Caron. Pineau trains with Team Irish and comes into this fight with a 1-3 record with 1 win by decision. For his losses, he lost 2 by ko/tko and 1 by submission. Buck always takes tough fights and this one is no exception. His opponent is Tim Caron out of Team Burgess. He comes into this fight with a perfect 5-0 record with 2 ko/tko and 3 subs. Record wise one would give Caron the edge in this fight but I have seen both of these guys fight before and Buck is no joke. I have the utmost respect for both of these fighters and this is going to be a war!

145 AM MMA TITLE Danny Abad (5-3) Jackson's MMA vs. Brendan Marotte (3-1) Rick Hawn PMA
Danny Abad will defend his 145 amateur title against Brendan Marotte. Abad trains with Jackson's MMA and comes into this fight with a 5-3 record. In the win column, he has 1 ko/tko, 2 sub and 2 by decision. For his losses, he has never been finished and lost by decision 3 times. The challenger is Brendan Marotte and he trains with PMA. Brendan comes into this fight with a 3-1 record with 3 wins by ko/tko. His only loss came by submission against Fernando Lopez. This fight has fight of the night written all over it. Both of these guys have fought for Combat Zone multiple times and are well deserved to fight for the title. I see this one being a slug fest in a stand up war.

He comes into this fight with a record of 19-21 with 8 KO's, 5 sub and 6 decisions. For his losses, he lost the majority of them by submissions. Both of these guys have knockout power and love to slug it out. I don't expect this one to go the distance.
