PREMIER FC 21 10/22/2016 TEASER

We are just days away from Premier FC 21 which will take place this Saturday October 22nd in Agawam.  The show will be held at the Chez Josef and the first fight will be at 7pm.  There are a total of 11 fights in which 2 of them will be amateur title fights.  Also on the card will be 3 pro fights which are going to be lots of fun to watch.  Premier FC has put together what should be a solid night of fights and Warchild and I are looking forward to keeping you all up to date on it all.  Before I go into breaking each and every fight down I would like to thank Karyn Wesch for always keeping us in the loop so we can share with you all the great fights.  Please follow along as I break down the fight card for you all.

155AM Chris Almestica (Team Link 0-0) vs. Harrison Adamo (Ultimate MMA 0-0)

In the first fight of the night Chris Almestica will be taking on Harrison Adamo.  Chris trains with Team Link and will be making his amateur debut.  His opponent is Harrison Adamo and he trains with Ultimate MMA out of CT.  He will also be making his amateur debut. Both of these schools are top notch in the area so we know both of these fighters will be battle ready.

165 AM Miguel Cuevas (Battlecrew MMA 0-0) vs. Dennis Brown (Ambition MMA 1-0)

At 165 lbs Miguel Cuevas takes on Dennis Brown.  Miguel trains with Battlecrew MMA and will be making his amateur debut.  His opponent is Dennis Brown and he trains with Ambition MMA.  He comes into this fight with a 1-0 record with his first win by ko/tko over Jay Helger in Round 2.  Both of these fighters are just starting out in their career so it is hard to predict which makes it an exciting match up to me.

130 AM Mike Kimbel (Thunder 1-2) vs. Harris Bonfiglio (Ultimate MMA 1-2)

Mike Kimbel will be facing off against Harris Bonfiglio at 130 lbs.  Kimbel trains with Team Thunder and comes into this fight with a 1-2 record.  He has 1 win by ko/tko to strikes and 1 loss by submission and 1 by decision.  His opponent is Harris Bonfiglio and he trains with Ultimate MMA.  He comes into this fight with a 1-2 record with 1 win by ko/tko.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko and 1 by decision.  As you can see this as dead even of a fight as you can get.  I see this one being a solid back and forth battle.

145 AM Marcel Romero (Link 1-0) vs. Kenny Champion (Golden Falcon 1-0)

Next up is at 145 lbs Marcel Romero against Kenny Champion.  Romero trains with Team Link and comes into this fight with a 1-0 record.  He won his only fight by ko/tko to strikes against Steve Romano.  His opponent is Kenny Champion and he trains with Golden Falcon.  He comes into this fight with a 1-0 record by ko/tko against Anthony George.  Again, another close match up which should make for another good fight!

170 AM Ray Johns (Thunder 1-8) vs. Mario Peterson (Ambition MMA 1-0)

Returning to the Premier FC cage is Ray Johns against Mario Peterson.  Johns trains with Team Thunder and comes into this fight with a 1-8 record.  Johns always goes out their poised and I was happy to see him get the W at the last Premier FC by submission over Jason Showers.  Now he is looking to continue that win streak this Saturday.  His opponent is Mario Peterson and he trains with Ambition MMA.  He comes into this fight with a 1-0 record with a very quick ko/tko win in his first fight.  He would love another quick stoppage at PFC 21.  In this fight, Johns has the experience and he will be looking to use that to his advantage and get the W.  Peterson  has the hands and is not afraid to use them to get the win.

155 AM Pat Casey (Link 4-1) vs. Davon Zimmerman (Ultimate MMA 3-5)

At 155 lbs Pat Casey will face off against Davon Zimmerman.  Casey trains with Team Link and comes into this fight with a 4-1 record.  Out of his 4 wins 3 of them were by ko/tko, and the other was a decision.  He lost his only fight by ko/tko to Andres Pedraza in a real slobberknocker of a fight.  He looked much better in his last fight with his conditioning and paced himself to get the W.  His opponent is Davon Zimmerman and he trains with Ultimate MMA.  He comes into this fight with a 3-5 record with 1 win by ko/tko, 1 sub and 1 decision.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko, 2 by sub and 2 by decision.  This should be a great fight as both of these guys bring the experience and love to put on a show for the fans.

205 AM TITLE Larry Perna (Vision Quest 2-0) vs. William Knight (Thorton's MMA 1-1)

In the first title fight of the night Larry Perna will take on William Knight at 205 lbs.  Perna trains with Vision Quest and comes into this fight with a perfect 2-0 record.  In his first 2 fights he won both by ko/tko to strikes.  His opponent is William Knight and he trains out of Thorton's MMA.  Knight comes into this fight with a 1-1 record with 1 win by submission over Sean Bettencourt.  He lost one fight against Jose Campos by decision at a previous Reality Fighting event.  I am very excited for this fight as Perna has the hands and has shown it in the cage in his first 2 fights.  Knight is a superb athlete in tremendous shape and has shown he can submit fighters.  Who will be victorious in this one?? We will find out this Saturday.

155 AM TITLE Swagath Pillai (Team Plus One 3-0) vs. Alex Ortiz (Golden Falcon 4-2)

In the second title fight of the night Swagath Pillai will face off against Alex Ortiz at 155 lbs.  Pillai trains with Team Plus ONe and comes into this fight with a 3-0 record.  In his 3 wins he has 2 wins by ko/tko and and one win by split decision.  He is looking to not only keep his perfect record intact but also win the strap.  His opponent is Alex Ortiz and he trains with Golden Falcon.  Ortiz comes into this fight with a 4-2 record 1 win by sub and 3 by decision.  He lost 1 fight by ko/tko and 1 by split decision.  Both of these fighters are very talented and never give up.  I see this one being a back and forth battle and I see it going deep into the rounds.

125 PRO Ken Murphy (Link NH 0-1) vs. Dan Cormier (Triforce 4-6)

In the first pro fight Ken Murphy returns after a 1 year hiatus against Dan Cormier at 125 lbs.  Murphy trains with Team Link NH and comes into this fight with an 0-1 pro record with his 1 loss by ko against Chad Kelly.  As an amateur he went 5-1-1 with all 5 wins by decision.  His opponent is Dan Cormier and he trains with Triforce.  Dan comes into this fight with a 4-6 record with 1 win by ko/tko and 3 by decision.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko, 2 by sub and 3 by decision.  I see this fight being an awesome striking war for the full 3 rounds.  I absolutely love both of these fighters and I for one, cannot wait for this fight to happen this Saturday.  Fight of the night candidate right here.

170 PRO Montoyia Swilling (Independent 1-5) vs. Addison O'Neil (DCNU 1-4)

At 170 lbs Montoyia Swilling will take on Addison O'Neil.  Swillings is an independent fighter with a 1-5 record.  I was not able to find his win but he did lose many of his fights by submission.  His opponent is Addison O'Neil and he trains with DCNU.  Addison comes into this fight with a 1-4 record with 1 win by submission.  For his losses, he lost 2 by ko/tko, 1 by sub and 1 by decision.  Both of these fighters have struggled and this is a great match up for both of them.  I see this one being a ground battle and being won by Addison by submission in Rd 1.

185 PRO Justin Sumter (FAA 1-1) vs. Ralph Johnson (FAF 10-18)

At 185 lbs the main event is Justin Sumter against Ralph Johnson.  Sumter trains with FAA and comes into this fight with a 1-1 record.  Sumter won 1 fight by ko against Sean Evans and lost one by ko/tko against Tim Caron at a previous Bellator show.  His opponent is Ralph Johnson who trains with FAF and comes into this fight with a 10-18 record.  All of his 10 wins were by ko/tko to strikes.  Both of these guys have proven they have knockout power so don't blink on this one!
