We have arrived cage side here at Aura Nightclub in Portland, Maine's Old Port for NEF 34, fights should be starting just after 7pm eastern time. 157 Delmarkis Edwards 0-1 (Independent) vs Taylor Bartlett 0-1 (CMBJJ)

Round 1: Edwards comes out swinging looking to end the fight early. Bartlett gets a double leg takedown and mounts some heavy ground and pound to get the stoppage. 


Decision: Taylor Bartlett defeats Delmarkis Edwards by Knockout at :20 of round one.

180 Brandon Schwinck (Independent) vs Christian Barrett (First Class)

Round 1: Christian takes a kick from Brandon and then pulls guard. Brandon is working from top position. Christian sweets to the top and has Brandon mounted. Brandon turns his back to Christian and turtles up, Barrett lands heavy ground and pound for the finish.


Decision: Christian Barrett defeats Brandon Schwinck via TKO at 1:35 of round one.


155 Joe Howard (CMBJJ) vs Brandon Clark (The Academy)

Round 1: Howard comes out and is all over Clark getting the better of the striking and grappling. Clark ends up getting top position and Howard grabs the guillotine. Howard readjusts and the choke is deep, Clark taps. 


Decision: Joe Howard defeats Brandon Clark by Submission (Guillotine) at 1:56 of round one.

135 Sarah Matulis (The Outlet) vs Carol Linn Powell (Nostos MMA)

Round 1: Matulis comes out early with heavy pressure and works the take down and gets to full mount. Carol Linn makes it back to half guard and then to full guard but Matulis passes guard and gets side control. Matulis gets back to full mount and lands some ground and pound that forces Powell to give up her back and Matulis sinks in the Rear Naked Choke that causes Powell to tap.


Decision: Sarah Matulis defeats Carol Linn Powell by submission (Rear Naked Choke) at 2:41 of round one. 


205 Mike Williams (CMBJJ) vs Cody Rolling (F2 Arena)

Round 1: Rolling lands a nice low kick to start the round then comes forward with a barrage of punches that all seem to land and John English has seen enough.


Decision: Cody Rolling defeats Mike Williams by Knockout at :20 of round one.

125 Greg Waterbury (White Mountain BJJ) vs Brady MacDonald (Pictou County Titans)

Round 1: Brady comes forward and grabs a guillotine and this one is over before it starts.


Decision: Brady MacDonald defeats Greg Waterbury by Submission (Guillotine) at :15 of round one.


170 Curtis Ouellette (CMBJJ) vs Dalton Dunphy (First Class)

Round 1: Dalton lands a nice left and a low leg kick to start the action. Curtis doesn't like what he is seeing at distance and clinches. Off the clinch its Curtis getting the better of the striking. Curtis is landing some slick striking from the outside and starting to control the fight. Curtis lands heavy as the round ends. 10-8 Ouellette.


Round 2: Curtis lands a right upper cut to open round 2. Curtis lands a couple more huge shots before John English has seen enough.


Decision: Curtis Ouellette defeats Dalton Dunphy by TKO at :42 of round two.

135 Jack Greene (Cage Strikers) vs Henry Clark (Choi Institute)

Round 1: Clark starts with a leg kick jab combo and looks for the takedown and gets it easily. Henry is in Jack's half guard looking to do some damage with hammer fists. Clark grabs a D'arce choke and sinks it in quick for the tap. 


Decision: Henry Clark defeats Jack Greene by Submission (D'arce) at 1:17 of round one.

185 Jordan Norman (Bad Little Falls) vs Zac Lawrence (Nostos MMA)

Round 1: Lawrence lands a right out of the gate that crumbles Norman, Lawrence follows with ground and pound and Kevin the ref has seen too much.


Decision: Zac Lawrence defeats Jordan Norman by Knockout at :07 of the first round.

155 Angelo Rizzitello (The Outlet) vs Clifford Redman (Independent)

Round 1: Redman comes out throwing and landing Angelo lands a counter that puts Redman on the mat and Angelo follows for the D'arce choke.


Decision: Angelo Rizzitello defeats Clifford Redman by Submission (D'arce) at :55 of round one. 


150 Carter Lebrecque (CMBJJ) vs Josiah Kenney (Kenney's MMA)

Round 1: Both fighter come out throwing and Carter is landing the higher volume as he lands four consecutive uppercuts. Kenney has his back to the fence doing all he can to survive andc slow this fight down. Carter steps out and lands another lethal onslaught that gets the stoppage from John English.


Decision: Carter Lebrecque defeats Josiah Kenney by TKO at 1:57 of round one.

130 Glory Watson (Young's MMA) vs Chelsea Tucker (First Class)

Round 1: Glory starts with her head down looking to land some leather, Tucker answers the strikes with come counters of her own. Glory puts Chelsea on the fence and works the takedown. Glory goes for broke on a triangle choke and Tucker escapes out the back door. They go back to the mat and Tucker gets Watson's back and is working for the neck. Glory sweeps and has top position and works all the way to mount where she sets up an arm triangle that induces the tap.


Decision: Glory Watson defeats Chelsea Tucker by Submission (Arm Triangle) at 2:44 of round one.

140 Jordan Young (Independent) vs Glenn Kasabian (Nostos MMA)

Round 1: Young lands some quick right hands to open up the contest and Glenn looks to clinch and puts Young on the cage. Young reverses but Glenn gets the position back before they break and return to striking distance. Young lands a lunging take down and is in Glenn's guard looking to posture up. Young finishes the round in top position. 10-9 Young.


Round 2: Glenn comes out jabbing this time to keep distance and the fighters end up clinching. Glenn has Young against the cage and is throwing some knees. Glenn has a guillotine that he takes to the ground but cannot finish. They scramble and Glenn is on top looking to control. Glenn finishes the round on top landing ground and pound. 10-9 Kasabian.


Round 3: Glenn counters an opening low kick with a one two that lands. Glenn lands some low kicks of his own as he looks to be the fresher fighter in this round. Young takes Glenn down and Glenn looks to be setting up an arm bar. Glenn is going heavy for the arm bar as Young tried desperately to defend. Young escapes as the round ends. 10-9 Kasabian.


Decision: Glenn Kasabian defeats Jordan Young by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)


185 Eric Camacho (F2 Arena) vs Mark Gardner (The Academy)

Round 1: Camacho gets the takedown early and has top position Gardner reverses and looks for a guillotine. Eric reverses and uses his own guillotine to get back to the feet where Gardner puts him against the cage. Camacho turns and Picks up Gardner for the huge slam. Gardner lands is perfect position to lock in an arm bar and Camacho is tapping.


Decision: Mark Gardner defeats Eric Camacho by Submission (Arm Bar) at 2:32 of the first round.

135* Title* Kam Arnold (CMBJJ) vs Killian Murphy (Nostos MMA)

Round 1: Killian answers the bell with an immediate takedown attempt and Arnold stuffs and gets a big slam of his own. Kam works from side control as Killian scrambles to his feet. Killian lands a combination that causes Arnold to spit his mouthpiece. Killian uses strikes to set up a level change but cannot get the takedown the round ends on the feet with both fighters throwing bombs. 10-9 Murphy.


Round 2: Killian comes out the same as he did round one pushing the pace. Arnold comes forward with some strikes but none land. Killian is landing the better of the strikes so far and is controlling the pace. Kam lands a nice leg kick and jab but Murphy continues to come forward. Arnold lands a left hand to end the round the puts Killian down. 10-9 Murphy.


Round 3: Arnold comes out with a leg kick to start the round and both fighters go toe to toe. Arnold lands to Murphy's chin and Murphy spits the mouthpiece this time. Kam grazes Murphy with a headkick and Murphy swings away as the round ends. 10-9 Arnold.


Round 4: Murphy comes out looking to control the pace of the first championship round. Arnold connects with a shot that buckles Murphy but he recovers quickly and returns to his feet. Killian comes forward and is answered by Arnold with a shot that puts Killian down and out.


Decision: Kam Arnold defeats Killian Murphy by Knockout at 1:54 of round four. Kam Arnold is now the NEF Amateur Bantamweight Champion. What a War this fight was!


170* Title* Duncan Smith (Evolution) vs Carlton Charles (Berserkers MMA)

Round 1: Duncan comes out early and gets a takedown and has top position. Duncan gets side control and is looking to isolate the head of Charles. Charles to get to his feet and Smith keeps him grounded and lands some knees as the round ends. 10-9 Smith.


Round 2: Charles comes out with a left jab that connects and Smith goes for the takedown, Charles gets back to his feet but is taken back down immediately. Charles uses a wizzer to get out and back to his feet where he looks to land powerful strikes. Smith doesn't like eating thed hands and goes for another takedown and pops right into side control where the round ends. 10-9 Smith.


Round 3: Duncan comes out with three low kicks before shooting for the takedown, Charles stuffs. Duncan lands a headkick and changes levels for the takedown. Duncan gets top position and transitions to the back and has the body triangle as Charles fights to get free. Smith gets high mount before again transitioning to the back and looking for the Rear Naked Choke as the round ends Smith remains on top. 10-9 Smith.

Round 4: Charles comes out with an overhand right and is looking for the kill, but Smith lands another takedown and is once again in mount looking for a finish of his own. Duncan sinks his arm under the chin and this time it finishes Charles as he taps to the Rear Naked Choke.


Decision: Duncan Smith defeats Carlton Charles by Submission (Rear Naked Choke) at 1:21 of round four. Duncan Smith is the New NEF Amateur Welterweight Champion. 

155 Ryan Sanders (Young's MMA) vs Vince McGuiness (Band Muay Thai)

Round 1: Ryan starts off the aggressor using leg kicks to close the distance and put Vince's back on the cage. Ryan is applying heavy pressure and landing knees from the clinch. Vince  turns Sanders and drops down for a double leg takedown and Vince is on top but Ryan uses a guillotine hold to escape and put McGuiness on the mat. McGuiness sweeps to the top and Ryan grabs an arm bar and proceeds to destroy the elbow joint of McGuiness. The Tap comes verbally with two seconds left in the round.


Decision: Ryan Sanders defeats Vince McGuiness by Submission (Arm Bar) at 4:58 of the first round. Vince McGuiness looks to have sustained a badly broken left arm.

145 Aaron Lacey (Young's MMA) vs Da'Mon Blackshear (Team ROC)

Round 1: Aaron comes out striking with Blackshear but we quickly turn to grappling as Blackshear lands the first takedown of the fight and has top control. Aaron is trying to get back to the feet but Blackshear is applying heavy pressure to Lacey. Asron creates some space and returns to his feet and puts Blackshear against the cage. Blackshear turns the action and looks for a takedown. Blackshear gets the doublelegged slam but cannot hold Aaron down as the round ends. 10-9 Blackshear.


Round 2: Fighters meet in the center of the cage to start round two as both fighters land some shots and Blackshear clinches and presses Lacey against the cage. Aaron circles out and establishes the center of the cage. Blackshear clinches and looks for the takedown and lands to Lace's cup and Kevin MacDonald stops the action. Aaron comes out of the break throwing leather landing hard to the body then the head. Aaron initiates the clinch this time and ends up with his back on the cage. Aaron again turns Blackshear. Fighters return to striking range and Aaron lands some of his best work of the fight before Blackshear clinches up again. Aaron slips on the takedown attempt and Blackshear has Lacey's back as the round ends. 10-9 Lacey CLOSE ROUND! Could have gone either way.


Round 3: Aaron comes out with sense of urgency looking to finish the fight standing, Blackshear has seen enough and clinches and gains the takedown and works for Lacey's back. Blackshear has the back with both hooks in and is looking for the choke. Blackshear switches to the body triangle as Lacey continues to fight the hands. Aaron miraculously makes it back to his feet but the time is against him. Blackshear once again presses Lacey to the cage and doesn't allow him room to work. Aaron gets lose and fires away as he looks for the finish but the bell comes too early for Lacey in this one. 10-9 Blackshear


Decision: Da'mon Blackshear defeats Aaron Lacey by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28)
