PoeVS.Irizarry Premier FC 3: Pavement Wars at Maximum Capacity, Chicopee, MA

The following fight footage is a brutal reminder that not everyone is cut out to be a Mixed Martial Artist. Poe Vs. Irizarry epitomizes the worst case scenario for any match-up. As Poe is clearly the bigger and stronger competitor he still manages to lose this fight. Not by submission or judges decision, but by being an animal rather than a skilled fighter. Poe is pulled off Irizarry by the ref and like a crazed animal he comes back in on the attack. His inability to turn off the fight in his own head after the ref stopped the fight in the cage is an example of what ill intentions lurk in the hearts of man.

So after this mess occurs where do you think these to will end up? Well after speaking to some officials the answer isn't so clear. KICK Int. which is the equivalent to The State Sporting Commission except that it only governs the amateur fighters in MA hasn't seen fit to actually enforce it's many rules concerning fighter safety and conduct. Prior to "this" match-up Irizarry was k.o. in a prior match and according to KICK rules and regs he had not been out of the ring the required length of time to be eligible to fight at Premier FC 3. As for James Poe well there hasn't been a report of actions taken to hold him accountable for being with out self control in the cage. In fact he'll be fighting for Linda Shields next at her Nov.13th CFX event in Plymouth, MA. WesternMAMMA.com will be there and watching closely as this young man steps into the cage. My guess is that he'll be worse for wear.
Why you ask? Well because he was most likely dropped by Blue Devil Fight Team. He is fighting as Independent at the CFX event. It has been a month since this video was taken. It will be interesting and hopefully not as damaging to MMA as his prior fight could be seen to be. Remember guys and gals this is for real. People who take this sport seriously for the most part have respect for their opponent even if there is a little tension before hand. By acting as Poe did you give the rule makers more need to make rules, the anti-fighters more evidence that this is a blood sport, and most of all you are being a poor sport.
