It is that time again for another installment of Combat Zone!  This will be their 55th event and it will be held once again at the Rockingham Park this Friday September 18th, 2015.  The doors will be opening up at 5:30pm and the first fight will kick off at around 7pm.  Once again this will be a mixed kickboxing and amateur/pro mma event.  There are 4 fights that are kickboxing, 6 amateur events and 1 professional mma which makes for a total of 11 battles in the cage.  Let me break down the fight card for you all.

210 AM KICK Owen Finnegan (0-1) IKS vs. Zach Calmus (0-0) Redline

At a catch weight of 210 lbs Owen Finnegan will take on Zach Calmus.  Finnegan comes into this fight with an 0-1 record and trains with IKS.  Owen lost his first kickboxing match against Steve Walker by tko to strikes at CZ 53.  He is still hungry for his first win.  His opponent is Zach Calmus who trains with Redline.  He will be making his amateur debut and he will be more than ready coming from Redline.

150 AM KICK Tori Debenedito (0-1) Boneyard vs. Danielle Bartlett (1-0) FAF

Next up is a female kickboxing bout at 150 lbs between Tori Debenedito and Danielle Bartlett.  Tori trains out of Boneyard and comes into this fight with an 0-1 record.  Tori is a kickboxing instructor so you know she is going to be well prepared.  Her opponent is Danielle Bartlett who trains with FAF and comes into this fight with a 1-0 record.  I expect this one to be a very fast paced fight!

218 AM KICK Yorgan Decastro (0-0) Lauzon's MMA vs. Steve Walker (1-0) Hard Knocks

In another kickboxing match Yorgan Decastro will take on Steve Walker at a catch weight of 218 lbs.  Yorgan trains with Lauzon's MMA and will be making his kickboxing amateur debut.  His opponent is Steve Walker and he trains with Hard Knocks.  Walker won his first kickboxing bout against Owen Finnegan by tko to strikes.  This one is going to another awesome back and forth kickboxing battle.

205 AM KICK Michael Langle (0-0) Title Boxing vs. Alex Blaisdell (0-0) Title Boxing

In the final kickboxing bout of the night Michael Langle takes on Alex Blaisdell at 205 lbs.  Langle trains with Title Boxing and will be making his kickboxing debut.  His opponent is Alex Blaisdell and and he trains with Title Boxing as well.  He will also be making his amateur debut.  Not sure if that is a typo or not but it seems like two fighters from the same team are fighting which makes this battle pretty unique.

145 AM MMA Kurt Daniels (0-2) F5 Fight Team vs. Dan Lynch (1-3) Spero's MMA

In the first amateur mma fight Kurt Daniels takes on Dan Lynch.  Daniels trains with F5 Fight team and comes into this fight with an 0-2 record.  He lost 1 fight by ko/tko and 1 by sub so far in his amateur career.  His opponent is Dany Lynch and he trains with Spero's MMA.  He comes into this fight with a 1-3 record with 1 win by submission.  For his losses, he lost 2 by submission and 1 by decision.  As you can see both of these fighters have struggled so this should be a good match up for both of them.

125 AM MMA Kerri Kennison (0-1) Team Link Hooksett vs. Hannah Murello (2-0) Triumph

Next up is a female mma amateur bout between Kerri Kennison and Hannah Murello.  Kennison trains with Team Link Hooksett and comes into this fight with an 0-1 record.  Kerri fought Jeanette Pomales and lost by ko/tko to strikes at a previous Combat Zone fight.  Her opponent is Hannah Murello and she trains with Triumph BJJ.  She comes into this fight with a perfect 2-0 record with 1 win by submission and 1 by decision.  Hannah uses her strength and takes down her opponents and controls the fight.  This should be another great fight for Combat Zone.

155 AM MMA LJ Scarcella (1-1) BMAC vs. CJ Kelvin (0-2) LRVT

At 155 lbs LJ Scarcella takes on CJ Kelvin in an amateur mma fight.  LJ comes into this fight with a 1-1 record out of BMAC.  He won 1 by ko/tko and lost 1 by submission so far in his amateur career.  His opponent is CJ Kelvin and he trains with LRVT.  He comes into this fight with an 0-2 record with 1 loss by ko/tko and 1 loss by decision.  He is still hungry for his first taste of victory.  Another close record fight which should make for a solid battle.

200 AM MMA Shawn Bettincourt (0-0) Victory vs. Jon McNeil (1-0) Triumph

At 200 lbs amateur Shawn Bettingcourt will face off against Jon McNeil in another bout of mixed martial arts.  Bettingcourt trains with Victory MMA and comes into this fight making his amateur debut.  His opponent is Jon McNeil and he trains with Triumph BJJ.  He comes into this fight with a 1-0 record.  He has 1 win by ko/tko to strikes and no doubt will be looking for another quick finish.  Both of these fighters are from excellent schools so this should be a good battle.

185 AM MMA George Demers (0-0) Team Fury vs. Jordan Faulkner (1-0) Spero's MMA

Then at 185 lbs mma George Demers will fight Jordan Faulkner in the Combat Zone cage.  Demers trains with Team Fury and will be making his amateur debut.  His opponent is Jordan Faulkner and he trains with Spero's MMA.  Faulkner comes into this fight with a 1-0 record with 1 win by ko/tko over Kristian Lombari.  I feel this one is going to be a stand up battle and is going to be real fun to watch!

170 AM MMA Dwight Barahona (0-0) Chang's TWD vs. John McAndrews (1-1) Gate City MMA

In the last amateur mma fight of the night Dwight Barahona takes on John McAndrews at 170lbs.  Dwight trains with Chang's TWD and will be making his amateur debut.  His opponent is John McAndrews and he trains with Gate City MMA.  John comes into this fight with a 1-1 record with 1 win by submission and 1 loss by decision.  I give the slight edge to McAndrews in this one due to the 2 fight experience but we will have to see how it plays out.

155 PRO MMA Pete San Antonio (1-0) Mohawk Valley vs. Connor Barry (0-0) IND

In the main event at 155 lbs pro mma Pete San Antonio takes on Connor Barry.  Pete trains out of Mohawk Valley MMA and he comes into this fight with a 1-0 record.  Combat Zone fans will remember his awesome battle against Ricky Sylvester in which he won by submission in Rd 2.  As an amateur Pete had a 10-7 record before he went pro.  His opponent is Connor Barry who is an independent fighter who will be making his pro debut.  Connor as an amateur went 5-1 with 2 wins by ko/tko and 3 wins by submission.  His only loss came by Carlos Correia to a decision.  This is going to be an awesome battle as both fighters love to have exciting fights and stand and bang it out.
