CAGE TITANS 48 TEASER 7/10/2021

I can't believe my eyes but we are finally at fight week!  Our last show in New England that we attended was back on February of 2020 if you can believe it!  Then the pandemic hit and all our fun mma shows and concerts were shuttered to a screeching halt.  Let's push that all into the past and focus on the now because Cage Titans is back with the first mma show of 2021!  They have put together an incredible card once again and I am going to break down the fight card in its entirety.  There are a total of 13 fights and 7 of them will be professional ones.  At the top will be the main event which is a title fight between Don Shainis and Nate Williams.  Now if you don't have your ticket, do not bother showing up at the door because Cage Titans announced several weeks ago they are sold out.  However, they will be having a live stream and signups are at the link here.  The individual stream is $25 and there are also Business options for $200 and House Party (best one I think) for $50.  Please note there is a fighter donation spot so put in the fighter that you are supporting and their donation amount.  With that said, please follow along as I break down the fights.

175 AM Adel Lolic (Underdog 2-4) vs. Josh Haglof (0-0 Surgeon Striking)

The first fight will be an amateur battle between Adel Lolic and Josh Haglof at 175 lbs.  Adel comes into this fight with a 2-4 record and is fighting out of CT with Underdog.  For his wins, he won his first fight by submission and his second by decision.  He then lost the next 4 by 1 ko/tko, 1 submission and 2 by decision.  He hasn't fought mma since 2011 but he was always a fun fighter to watch.  His opponent is Josh Haglof and he trains with Surgeon Striking.  Josh Haglof will be making his amateur debut.  I see this one being a back and forth fast paced battle.

145 AM Jake Caskey (0-0 Dexter) vs. Dan Walsh (0-0 Lauzon)

In the second fight Jake Caskey will be squaring off against Dan Walsh at 145 lbs.  Jake trains out of CT with Dexter MMA.  He will be making his amateur debut.  His opponent is Dan Walsh and he trains out of Lauzon's MMA.  He will also be making his amateur debut.  Both of these are solid schools in New England so I am sure it will be an exciting war.

160 AM Miguel Sevasin (0-2 Lakeville MMA) vs. Peter McLeod-Warrick (0-0 Citadel)

Then at a catch weight of 160 lbs Miguel Sevasin will be facing Peter McLeod-Warrick.  Miguel trains with Lakeville MMA and he comes into this fight with an 0-2 record.  For his losses, he lost 1 by submission and 1 by way of decision.  He is still looking for his first amateur victory.  His opponent is Peter McLeod-Warrick and he trains out of Citadel.  He will be making his amateur debut and has two Muay Thai bouts for Cage Titans in which he won 1 by ko/tko and 1 by decision.  This one should be a good stand up war.

115 AM Erica Valentin (0-0 Underdog) vs. Ashley Barrett (1-1 USMMA)

In the sole female battle of the night, Erica Valentin will be going head to head against Ashley Barrett.  Erica trains with Underdog out of CT and will be making her amateur debut.  Her opponent is Ashley and she trains out of USMMA.  She steps into the cage with a 1-1 record with 1 win by ko/tko in Rd 1 and one loss by way of split decision.  I see this one being a back and forth battle and going the distance.

170 AM Bobby Homer (Citadel 0-0)  vs. Jack Congdon (2-0 Lakeville)

At 170 lbs Bobby Homer will be facing Jack Congdon in the Cage Titans cage.  Homer has stepped in as a last minute replacement so we thank him for that and he will be making his amateur debut.  His opponent is Jack Congdon and he trains with Lakeville MMA.  He comes into this fight with a 2-0 record with 1 win by ko/tko and the other win by submission.  This should be another solid back and forth battle.

145 AM Randy Francis (5-7 Dexter) vs. Tyrime Dasilva (2-0 Triforce)

Then at 145 lbs Randy Francis will be facing Tyrime Dasilva.  Randy trains with Dexter and comes into this fight with a 5-7 record.  For his wins, he has 3 by ko/tko and 2 by decision.  For his losses, he has 2 by ko/tko, 2 by submission and 3 by decision.  Don't be fooled by Randy's record as he can scrap and put on a show!!  His opponent is Tyrime Dasilva and he trains with Triforce.  He comes into this fight with a 2-0 record with both wins by submission.  I see this one being a stand up war and is going to a fun one to watch.

135 PRO Rob Fuller (1-11 Klinch) vs. Jeff Joy (0-0 Loco Lobo)

For the first pro fight of the night Rob Fuller will be squaring off against Jeff Joy at 135 lbs.  Fuller trains with Klinch and comes into this fight with a 1-11 record.  For his sole win Cage Titan fans will remember the KO that he got over Jacobo Apito back in 2019.  For his losses, he lost 5 by ko/tko and 6 by submission.  His opponent is Jeff Joy and he trains under Loco Lobo.  Jeff will be making his much awaited pro debut.  As an amateur he went 4-0 with 2 wins by submission and 2 wins by decision.  In this fight obviously Jeff Joy will be the favored fighter but you can't rule Rob Fuller out.  The man has been training hard and has proven that he can knock his opponent out.

145 PRO Jay Ellis (15-90 Red Schaffer MMA) vs. Connor Matthews (3-0 Lauzon)

In the 2nd pro fight of the night Jay Ellis will be facing Connor Matthews in the 145 lb division.  Jay Ellis has stepped in as a late minute replacement and he trains out of Red Schaffer MMA.  He comes into this fight with a 15-90 record.  He loses the majority of his fights by ko/tko to strikes or by submission.   His opponent is Connor Matthews and he trains out of Lauzon MMA.  He comes into this fight with a perfect 3-0 record with 1 win by ko/tko and 2 by way of submission in which all 3 were very quick finishes.  Connor was originally set to fight Kris Berberich from Alaska which would have been an awesome fight but unfortunately Kris dropped out last minute.  Thankfully Jay Ellis has saved the fight but most likely Matthews will be winning this one in Round 1 by submission.

155 PRO Anthony Facchini (6-5 Hammer Nation Fight Team) vs. Zach DiSabatino (6-2 SSSF)

Then at 155 lbs Anthony Facchini will be squaring off against Zach DiSabatino.  Anthony trains with Hammer Nation Fight Team and steps into this fight with a 6-5 record.  In the win column, he won 1 by ko/tko, 4 by submission and 1 by decision.  For his losses, he lost 2 by submission and 3 by decision.  Anthony is also in the running with the best nickname....'Parmesan.'  His opponent is Zach DiSabatino and he trains out of SSSF.  He comes into this fight with a 6-2 record with 4 ko/tko and 2 by submission.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko and 1 by decision.  This is another awesome match up and this one really could go anywhere but if I had to predict I would say it will be a ground battle.

135 PRO Joe Penafil (5-3 Fusion Xcel) vs. Pat Gilbride (3-0 Lauzon)

At 135 lbs Joe Penafil will be entering the cage against Pat Gilbride.  Joe trains with Fusion Xcel and comes into this fight with a 5-3 record.  In the win column, he has 1 win by submission and 4 by way of decision.  For his losses, he lost 1 by submission and 1 by decision.  His opponent is Pat Gilbride and he trains out of Lauzon's.  He comes into this fight with a perfect 3-0 record with 1 win by ko/tko and 2 by submission.  This fight is Pat's toughest opponent to date and I see this fight being a ground back and forth battle.

170 PRO Sean Lally (8-5 Kill Combat) vs. Billy Goff (3-2 Dexter MMA)

Next up is a battle of 170 lbers between Sean Lally and Billy Goff.  Sean trains out of Kill Combat and comes into this fight with an 8-5 record.  In the win column, he has 6 by ko/tko, 1 by submission and 1 by decision.  For his losses, he lost 2 by ko/tko, 2 by submission and 1 by decision.  Sean is always entertaining to watch and as you can see by his fight results he leaves it all in the cage and doesn't like to go to a decision.  His opponent is Billy Goff and he trains with Dexter MMA.  He comes into this fight with a 3-2 record with 2 by ko/tko and 1 by decision.  Billy's last two wins were at previous Bellator shows.  For his losses, he lost 1 by decision and 1 by doctor stoppage due to a cut.  This is goin to be an absolute war between these two warriors.  I see this one being a stand up war and if it goes to the mat I expect monster slams and heavy ground and pound.  This one is definitely a fight of the night contender.

155 PRO Peter Barrett (11-5 Sityodtong) vs. Ali Zebian (5-2 Underground MMA)

In the co main event Peter Barret will be facing Ali Zebian.  Peter trains out of Sityodtong and comes into this fight with a 11-5 record.  In the win column, he has won 7 by ko/tko, 2 by submission and 2 by decision.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko, 3 by submission and 1 by decision.  His opponent is Ali Zebian and he trains with Underground MMA.  Ali fights out of Western Mass and has a 5-2 record with 3 ko/tko and 2 by decision wins.  For his losses, he lost 2 by decision.  This fight is going to be an absolute war!!  Peter will most likely be trying to keep this fight standing and keeping some space between them.  Ali will most likely want try to get close and take the fight to the ground and work his ground and pound.  This one is also a fight of the night contender for sure!

145 PRO TITLE Don Shainis (8-2 Citadel) vs. Nate Williams (12-7 X3 Sports)

In the main event for the 145 pro title Don Shainis will be fighting Nate Williams.  Don trains out of Citadel and comes into this fight with a 8-2 record with 4 ko/tko, 3 submission and 1 by decision.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko and 1 by decision.  His opponent is Nate Williams and he trains with X3 Sports.  He comes into this fight with a 12-7 record with 1 ko/tko, 5 submission and 6 by decision.  For his losses, he lost 2 by ko/tko, 2 by submission and 3 by decision.  Nate Williams just took this fight a few weeks ago I believe so thank you for that.  This one is going to be a back and forth battle for the coveted Cage Titans belt and it is going to be one you don't want to miss.  I don't see it going the full 5 rounds and I think it will be settled on the ground.

There you have it fight fans, the complete breakdown of the Cage Titans card.  I literally had to change it when I was just a few fights left to write about just so I can have it in the exact fight order with the correct opponents.  The Artist and I will be at Cage Titans in attendance and I will be doing the live play by play here on the website.  Please take the time to follow all of our other social media as I always share breaking news on them that never makes the site.
