πŸ“° NEWS--πŸ“° WELTERWEIGHT WAR SCHEDULED FOR NEF 55 IN BANGOR

[NEF PRESS RELEASE]

Bangor, Maine (September 25, 2023) – New England Fights presents its next mixed-martial-arts event “NEF 55: Glory Days” on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.  Earlier today, NEF announced the addition of a professional welterweight bout to the card.  Mark “Pockets” Jack (3-3) will take on Chris “Light Horse” Lee (1-0) at a fight weight of 170 pounds.

Jack will look for his second win in a row at NEF 55.  Jack’s most recent trip to the cage saw him submit Justin Burrill (3-4) in just over one minute at “NEF 48” in July 2022.  He is a finisher, with all three of his wins as a pro and all three of his wins as an amateur coming by way of stoppage. Jack represents The Academy based in Portland, Maine where he trains under MMA pioneers Jay Jack and Amanda Buckner.

“I'm pumped to get back in there and fight again,” said Jack. “I don't know much about Chris, but I've been putting my head down and training a ton since my last fight and I think it'll show.”

Chris Lee will make his second appearance as a professional in the NEF cage on November 11.  Last summer, Lee made his pro debut in Portland at “NEF 53” with a first-round submission of James Lawson (0-1) via Von Flue Choke. Like his opponent, Lee holds a Brown Belt in Brazilian Jit-Jitsu. He represents Lee Brothers MMA based in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

“Mark is a worthy adversary, a Bellator and NEF vet - he has my full respect,” said Lee. “This competition is not about Mark, however. November 11, you will see me coming with clouds of the midwestern sky. Heaven and earth will be shaken once again.”

“NEF 55: Glory Days” takes place on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine.  Doors are scheduled to open at 6 pm with first fight taking place at 7 pm.  Tickets to “NEF 55” are available now at www.ticketmaster.com.
