MEDFORD, MA, May 7, 2012: BlackedOut MMA (www.blackedoutmma.com) president and promoter Nick Tomaszczuk and his Matchmaker, Alex Rodriguez, announce that they have cancelled their inaugural event that was scheduled for May 12, 2012.
There will be no Tournament for us this year. We will make the two remaining events in 2012 amazing high impact nights of local MMA action. So stay tuned we're not going anywhere.
Alex says: "We held out as long as we could but, at the end of the day, we just didn't have enough time to put that card together. We're really disappointed, of course, and we'll make July a spectacular, high impact, and entertaining event with the fighters, trainers, schools, and vendors that we've built a relationship with over the last year. We have names for July and are moving forward excited about the possibilities. Some fighters, that were on our May 12 card, have landed on another fight card already because of relationships we've built so I'm confident that July will happen and that it will be that much better for it. This was a learning experienced for us and we're a better promotion because of it. Thanks"
