Global Fight League is making their return and in a big way. They hired a new matchmaker Mike Strazzere and he has done a great job on the card so far. He just shared with us ten fights and told us that there are a few more that will be added soon and they are doozies. This GFL will be at the Latitude Sports Club in Peabody MA and is headlined by one of the biggest amateur rematch that I can think of. I am referring to Matt Doherty and Rico Disciullo. The first fight happened less than a year ago at AFO and I scored Rico winning the first two rounds. Doherty remained calm and got the takedown and was able to get the rear naked choke with literally seconds left on the clock in which I believe Rico would have won. Needless to say Rico has bounced back like we knew he would with a big KO win over Jeff Watts at a previous Cage Titans and is looking to avenge his loss in a big way. Doherty went on a little hiatus and has been back to training with Team Pradal Serey and is looking to return and prove to everyone that his victory was no fluke.
