BONE MMA August 30th 2013 Teaser

Bone MMA is just a few days away from their very first mixed martial arts event and we are very excited to be there to share with you how it all goes down.  Bone stands for Best Of New England for those that don't know and their first event will be 7 fights( 3 of them will be pro).  The card reminds me very much of the size that Warrior Nation usually provides and that is a small amount but great match ups.  The event takes place this Friday August 30th, 2013 in Manchester New Hampshire at the JFK Coliseum.  I have been told tickets will be available at the door and you can order them by calling (603) 391-4032.  If you haven't yet please follow their fanpage by clicking the link here.  Also they will be having an after party at the Social 24 that is nearby and fans are all invited to come and meet the fighters.  Let me break down the full card for you all...

170 lbs Ammy Chris Perreault(Link) vs. Corey Bowehall (CNYMMA)

For the first fight Chris Perreault takes on Corey Bowehall at 170lbs.  Chris is 1-0 and is from Team Link.  He fought at Barre Beatdown 3 against Josh Warner and won with a quick 9 second ref stoppage.  He will be looking to improve to 2-0.  Corey is from CNYMMA and is coming up from New York to try to get the W.  He is also 1-0 and won in the first round against Devin Patterson by armbar.  I think this is a great match up and will be a ground battle.  It will be an awesome first fight to get the crowd pumped.

145lbs Ammy Chris Violette (Burgess) vs. Danny Abad (CNYMMA)

Next up is Chris Violette taking on Danny Abad at 145lbs.  Chris is from Team Burgess in NH and has a 1-1 record.  He won his first fight via rear naked choke at a previous Cage Titans in the second round.  He then fought again and lost via unanimous decision against Jeff Perez.  He is hungry for another taste of victory.  Danny is from CNYMMA which makes for their second fighter of the night from New York.  He will be making his amateur debut.  I feel this is going to be a close battle and I know New Hampshire will be behind their man Chris Violette.

155lbs Ammy Mike Reutz (Link) vs. James Hoyt (Independent)

Then they have Mike Reutz squaring off against James Hoyt at 155lbs.  Mike is from Team Link and comes into this fight with a 1-0 record.  He won at a Gladius (the one in Berlin NH) event against Rob Brown via submission in Rd 3.  James is an independent fighter and is from South Carolina.  He also has a 1-0 record where he won via unanimous decision back in 2011.  Again, this is matched up perfectly and should make for a good one.

170lbs Ammy Paul Gaffney (Team Link Hooksett) vs. JT Harold (Pitbull)

Now for the huge showdown between Paul Gaffney and JT Harold at 170lbs.  This fight has been talked about happening at a previous Combat Zone and I don't know the reason but it didn't happen.  Well it is happening this Friday folks and is totally worth the admission price.  Paul is from Team Link Hooksett and is 2-0.  He first fought Tollison Lewis and literally picked him up from his neck in a choke hold and slammed him down hard.  He finished him off with some ground and pound.  He then fought Crowsneck Boutin and won that one in stunning fashion via ref stoppage to strikes in Rd 1.  Paul has yet to show any holes in his mma game and he is definitely on the list of most feared opponents in New England.  Just ask anyone he rolls with! His opponent JT is from team Pitbull and is all about taking on tough fights.  JT is 3-0 and won his first bout in stunning fashion as well.  He with via knockout in just 36 seconds against Cheyenne Vazquez.  He then won his next two bouts by submission and decision.  In fact his last fight against Ricky Sylvester was an absolute war that went to decision and was all stand up.  I see this fight going the same way with both fighters showing off their stand up skills.  Both fighters are definitely great on the ground as well but I think they both will try to stand and bang for the audience and each try to tire their opponent out.  I feel this fight is going to come down to who has the better cardio.  This fight has all the makings of fight of the night/year candidate.  Thank you for making it happen BONEMMA!

155lbs Pro Keenan Raymond (NE Combat) vs. RJ Letendre (The Shop)

For the first pro fight Keenan Raymond takes on RJ Letendre at 155lbs.  Keenan is from NE Combat in RI and is 1-0 as a pro.  He fought against Ralph Johnson who was a last minute pickup and won via submission in rd 2.  Now he signs onto this in the last few weeks to try to pick up his second win.  Karma is great fight fans!  RJ is from The Shop in NH and is making his pro debut.  He was around 4-1 I believe as an amateur and won them any way possible, ko, decision and submissions.  No doubt he will be ready for his pro debut.  This is another close battle with two guys ready to make a splash in the pro rankings in New England.  I feel this one is going to be fought hard on the ground.

205lbs Pro Jabril Patterson (Victory MMA) vs. Robert Taylor ( Future Legends)

Next up is at 205lbs Jabril Patterson takes on Robert Taylor.  Jabril is from Victory MMA and has a 2-0 record.  He is coming up from New York looking for his 3rd victory of his pro career.  He won his first fight via ref stoppage in the first round and his second fight by decision.  Robert is from Future Legends and is out of MI.  He has an 0-3 record and his still hungry for his first pro victory.  He lost all 3 real early in the first rounds via ref stoppages or knockouts.  I gotta say this looks like the first mismatch of the evening but that doesn't mean it won't be an exciting fight!

155 lb Pro Taylor Trahan( Team Link) vs. Phil Parrish (CNYMMA)

For the last fight of the evening Taylor Trahan fights against Phil Parrish at 155lbs.  Taylor is from Team Link and had an awesome amateur career.  He went pro in January and is now 3-0.  He won his first two via decisions and one of them was split.  I saw his last fight against a very tough Addison O'Neil and he hung right in that fight and got the victory via armbar in Rd 2.  I was a Taylor fan and saw what all the hype was about.  Now he is looking to improve his record to 4-0.  Not if Phil has anything to say about it. He is coming up from New York with CNYMMA to displease the hometown crowd and bring back that W.  He is 1-0 and won his first pro fight via ref stoppage to strikes in Rd 1.  He had a decent amateur career with a ton of fights so he knows what needs to be done.  He looks very well rounded from his record and won many of his fights via decision.  This one could definitely go the distance and definitely has potential to be fight of the night or sub of the night.  How do you all see this one going??

There you have the full preview of the BONE MMA show that will be happening this Friday in New Hampshire.  It features 7 fights and 3 of them pro which if you ask me is a perfect amount for a show.  I am anxious to meet the guys behind BONE MMA and see what they bring to the table in a very tough mma scene in New England.  Warchild and I will be making the trip.  He will be taking photos and I will be doing the play by play assuming I have an internet connection.  It is only an hour and a half trip from us here in Western Mass and I feel the card is worth the trip.  Thanks to Bone MMA for keeping us in the loop on their fight cards and allowing us to cover the show for our fans.  See you all around!
