Warrior Nation XFA X 3/6/2015 Teaser

Warrior Nation returns for their first show of the year this Friday March 6th, 2015.  Fight fans will be rolling into the Hu Ke Lau to see a night of 9 amateur fights in which one of them will be the first ever WNXFA amateur title.  The belt pictured above was designed by WNXFA and Prime Athletics. The doors will be opening at 5pm and the gorgeous DJ Ariana will be there with the live music to pump up the crowd.  The fights will then start at approximately 6:30pm and the night of action will begin.  Jesse Camp has put together another awesome card and has it filled with many Warrior Nation staple fighters.  As always the show will contain the beautiful Warrior Nation ring girls, a 50/50 raffle and the best polynesian food around.  Let me break down the fight card for you in its entirety.  Keep in mind the fight order and card is subject to change.

135 AM George Lischke (1-0 CT United) vs. Justin Kristie (1-1 Ultimate MMA)

At 135lbs George Lischke takes on Justin Kristie.  Lischke trains out of CT United and comes into this fight with a 1-0 record.  He won his first fight at Reality Fighting by decision against Rob Brown.  That fight was at 145lbs and now he is looking to drop down to 135lbs for this fight.  His opponent is Justin Kristie who trains with Ultimate MMA.  Justin comes into this fight with a 1-1 record.  He won his first fight by submission against Ian McEwen and lost his second fight by ko/tko to strikes against Marvin Maldonado back in 2013.  Both of these guys train hard and are ready to put on a show for you all.  I see this one being a ground battle.

170 AM Tom Rossi (0-1 Thunder MMA) vs. Shane Joubert (0-0 Independent)

In the next fight Tom Rossi challenges Shane Joubert at 170lbs.  Rossi trains with Thunder MMA and comes into this fight with an 0-1 record.  He lost his only fight by split decision against Johnny Castillo in 2013.  He is still hungry for that first taste of victory in the cage.  His opponent is Shane Joubert and he is an independent fighter who is looking to make his amateur debut.  Both fighters are young in their careers and looking to impress the fans this Friday at the Hu Ke Lau.

125 AM Justin Valentin (1-0 Underdog BJJ) vs. Richard Santiago (1-3 Rivera Athletic Center)

Next battle is between Justin Valentin and Richard Santiago at 125lbs.  Justin trains with Underdog BJJ and comes into this fight with a 1-0 record.  He has one win by submission over Dan Krall at a PFC event.  His opponent is Richard Santiago and he comes into this fight with a 1-3 record.  Richard trains out of Rivera Athletic Center and he is always ready for a battle.  He lost his first 3 fights, 2 by submission and 1 by decision but since then has bounced back with a win over Jessie Pires by ko/tko to strikes.  Richard has fought some tough 125ers in his career and Valentin is going to be another solid opponent.  This fight is very well matched up and should be a real treat for the crowd.

170 AM Steve Rodriguez (0-0 Thunder MMA) vs. Chris Paulauskas (0-0 DCNU)

At 170lbs Steve Rodriguez takes on Chris Paulaskas this Friday in the cage.  Rodriguez trains out of Thunder MMA.  He will be making his amateur debut and Thunder MMA guys are always ready to scrap.  His opponent is Chris Paulauskas and he will also be making his amateur debut.  Chris trains out of DCNU, another solid school out of CT.  Two new fresh amateurs going head to head and looking to make a name for themselves and bring home the W.

145 AM Curtis Watkins (2-1 CT United BJJ) vs. Jose Rivera (1-3 Thornton Martial Arts)

Curtis Watkins challenges Jose Rivera at 145lbs.  Watkins is from CT United BJJ and comes into this fight with a 2-1 record.  He lost his first fight by submission and then won his next two, one by submission and one by decision.  He is no stranger to the Warrior Nation cage as this is his 4th time fighting for the WNXFA fans.  Watkins has some good takedowns and I see him looking to take this fight to the ground where he can control the action.  His opponent is Jose Rivera and he comes into this fight with a 1-3 record.  He trains out of Thornton Martial Arts and is looking for his second ammy victory of his career.  He won his first fight by KO/TKO over Kevin Aurelien.  He then lost 3 fights after that, 2 by decision and one by submission.  Jose has been training hard and is ready to put on an action packed battle for us fans in Western Mass.

170 AM Ray Johns (0-7 Thunder MMA) vs. Pat Casey (0-0 J. Ross BJJ)

Next battle is between Ray Johns and Pat Casey in the 170lb division.  Ray trains out of CT with Thunder MMA and comes into this fight with an 0-7 record.  He lost 1 by ko/tko, 5 by submission and 1 by decision in his amateur career.  He is hungry for his first amateur victory.  His opponent is Pat Casey and he will be making his amateur debut under Jeremy Ross BJJ.  Under the tutelage of Jeremy Ross so we know he will be ready for anywhere the fight takes him.  Johns has the experience in this fight and he is going to have to use that for his advantage if he wants to get the win.

135 AM Rob Rios (1-3 Underdog BJJ) vs. Steve Karr (0-3 Gracie Farmington Valley)

Then Rob Rios takes on Steve Karr in the 135lb amateur division.  Rios trains out of Underdog BJJ and comes into this fight with a 1-3 record.  He won his first fight by ko/tko against Josh Laporte.  For his losses he lost 2 by decision and one by submission.  However his losses were against very tough fighters.  His opponent is Steve Karr and he trains with Gracie Farmington Valley school.  He comes into this fight with an 0-3 record with 2 losses by decision and one by ko/tko.  As you can see this is a real close matchup and both fighters are going to be fighting hard for that W and this should be a close battle.  I see it coming down to a decision.

HVY AM Dan Randall (2-0 Fighting Arts Academy) vs. David Nieves (1-0 American Top Team)

In the co main event Dan Randall challenges David Nieves in the heavyweight showdowns.  Randall trains in Springfield MA with Fighting Arts Academy and comes into this fight with a 2-0 record.  He won both of his fights by ko/tko in which both of them are both first round finishes.  Randall hits as hard as they come and no doubt will be looking for the KO again.  His opponent is David Nieves and he trains out of American Top Team.  Nieves has a 1-0 record with a solid kickboxing background. He is also a training partner of Glover Texiera and being with ATT you know he will be ready for anything.  This fight has KO of the night and fight of the night written all over it.

135 AM TITLE Ali Zebian (Fighting Arts Academy 3-1) vs. Will Smith (DCNU 3-0)

In the main event, Ali Zebian takes on Will Smith for the very first Warrior Nation XFA title fight.  This one is in the 135lb division and is sure to be a fast paced battle.  Zebian trains out of Fighting Arts Academy and comes into this fight with a 3-1 record.  He won all 3 of his fights by ko/tko to strikes and he would love to add one more to the list.  His only loss was a split decision loss to Marquis Brewster.  His opponent is Will Smith and he trains with DCNU.  Smith has quickly moved his record to 3-0 and looks better and better each fight.  I wasn't able to find one of his fights but I know he won 2 of them by decision.  This fight is going to be settled on the ground and I think it is going to be a back and forth battle.  In the end, someone will go home with the belt and the fans will have the memory to last them a lifetime.
