COMBAT ZONE 63 TEASER 9/29/17

Combat Zone returns with a solid night of action that they will be bringing to the Radisson Hotel in Manchester New Hampshire.  The date is Friday, September 29th 2017 and the doors will be opening at 5:30pm.  The first fight is set to start at 7pm with a night of mixed martial arts and kickboxing.
There are a total of 13 fights with 5 of them being kickboxing and the rest being MMA.  They recently had the main event scratched due to Pilla getting injured but all in all it is still an excellent card.  We wish Pilla the best in his recovery!  Let me break down the fight card for you all.  As usual, I will skip the kickboxing portion but leave it all in the card order.  Keep in mind the fight order might change.

135 AM KICK Jack Greene (0-0) Cage Strikers vs. Michael Alfano (0-0) Lucky Devil FC

160 AM KICK Jose Atalies (0-0) BTT vs. Nick Quattrock (0-0) FAA

165 AM KICK Joe Siejkowski (0-0) Title Boxing vs. Isaih Ocasio (1-0) Ocasio's True Martial Arts

165 AM KICK Eddie Ramos 0-0  vs Brian Leach 0-0

135 AM MMA Devon Monty (0-0) Ind. vs. James Ploss (0-1) Kaze MMA

In the first mma match up Devon Monty will be taking on James Ploss at 135 lbs..  Monty is an independent fighter who will be making his amateur debut.  His opponent is James Ploss and he trains with Kaze MMA.  He comes into this fight with an 0-1 record. He lost his first fight in a controversial battle with NEF in which he let go of the tap in Rd 1 and then later lost in the 2nd round.  I am sure he learned a valuable lesson there and will not let it happen again this Friday at Combat Zone 63!
155 AM MMA Ramano Medina (2-0) Burgess vs. Eddie George (0-0) FAA

Next up is Ramano Medina against Eddie George at 155 lbs.  Ramano trains out of New Hampshire with Team Burgess.  He comes into this fight with a 2-0 record with both wins by ko/tko.  He has had many muay thai and kickboxing matches and will be making his Combat Zone debut.  His opponent is Eddie George and he trains out of FAA.  He will be making his amateur debut.  Medina in this fight has the experience for sure but FAA is an excellent school and no doubt will be ready for a war.  I see this one being a stand up battle.

170 AM MMA Josh Wesley (2-4) FAA vs. Mohammad Al Kinani (0-0) Evolution Athletix

Then at 170 lbs Josh Wesley faces off against Mohammad Al Kinani.  Wesley trains out of FAA and comes into this fight with a 2-4 record.  He has 1 win by submission and 1 win by decision so far in his amateur career.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko and 2 by way of decision.  His opponent is Mohammad Al Kinani and he trains with Evolution Athletix out of Saco, Maine.  He will be making his amateur debut.  Wesley has the experience in the cage in this one so Kinani will have his work cut out for him.

145 AM MMA Ali Zebian (5-3) FAA vs. Taylor Costantino (2-1) Evolution Athletix

At 145 lbs Ali Zebian squares off against Taylor Costantino in a big 145 lb showdown.  Zebian trains out of FAA and comes into this fight with a 5-3 record.  Out of his 5 wins he has all 5 of them by ko/tko.  For his 3 losses, he lost 2 by submission and 1 by split decision.  Zebian does not shy away from tough fights and this one will be no exception.  His opponent is Taylor Costantino and he trains with Evolution Athletix.  He comes into this fight with a 2-1 record with 2 wins by ko/tko.  His only loss came by ko/tko against Gerald Meuse.  This will be his 3rd fight for Combat Zone.  Both of these fighters have the hands and the means to finish.  I don't see this one going to a decision and I see it being a fast paced striking battle.

155 AM MMA Brian Cosco (3-5) Sityodtong vs. Will McCall (1-2) Evolution Athletix

Then at 155 lbs Brian Cosco will be taking on Will McCall.  Cosco trains with Sityodtong and comes into this fight with a 3-5 record.  In the win column, he has all 3 wins by way of submission.  For his losses, he lost 3 by submission and 2 by decision.  His opponent is Will McCall and he trains out of Evolution Athletic.  He comes into this fight with a 1-2 record with 1 win by submision.  For his losses, he lost 1 by submission and 1 by decision.  As you can see, very close battle which should make for another solid battle for Combat Zone.

225 AM MMA Floran Kacaku (1-1) Sityodtong vs. Terrance Jean Jacques (1-0) Spero's MMA

In the last amateur battle of the night Floran Kacaku will face off against Terrance Jean Jacques.  Floran trains with Sityodtong and comes into this fight with a 1-1 record.  He has 1 win by decision and 1 loss by submission so far in his amateur career.  His opponent is Terrance Jean Jacques and he trains out of Spero's MMA.  He comes into this fight with a 1-0 record with 1 win by decision.  Terrance is an excellent wrestler and was impressive in his amateur debut that I witnessed back in 2013.  Now he is looking to make his return to the mma cage.  This one is going to be a ground battle and definitely has potential to be fight of the night.

250 PRO KICK Ed Carr (0-0) Team Link Hooksett vs. JA Dudley (0-0) Lucky Devil FC

130 PRO MMA Jeff Silva (2-3) PMA vs. Ken Murphy (0-2) Team Link Hooksett

In the first pro mma fight of the night Jeff Silva will be taking on Ken Murphy at 130 lbs.  Silva trains out of PMA and comes into this fight with a 2-3 record.  I wasn't able to find all his fight info but he has 1 win by submission.  For his losses, I found he had 1 loss by submission and 1 by decision.  His opponent is Ken Murphy and he trains with Team Link Hooksett.  He comes into this fight with an 0-2 record with 1 loss by ko/tko and 1 by decision.  Don't let his record deceive as he fights tough fighters every time.  This is going to be a fast paced battle and I see it being a stand up one.

135 PRO MMA Chris Caterino (1-1) Gate City vs. Jay Perrin (3-3) Triumph/SYT

The main event is between Chris Caterino and Jay Perrin at 135 lbs.  Caterino trains with Gate City in NH and steps into the cage with a 1-1 record.  In the win column, he has 1 win by ko/tko against Andy Aeillo.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko to Jake Smith at a CES event in 2015.  His opponent is Jay Perrin and he trains with Triumph and Sityodtong.  He comes into this fight with a 3-3 record with 2 wins by ko/tko and 1 win by decision.  For his losses, he lost 1 by submission and 2 by split decision.  This should be another awesome battle and I see it being a back and forth battle.

There you have the complete breakdown of upcoming Combat Zone 63!  As you can see it should be another great one with a night of action packed fights.  We will have Peggy Morgan covering the event for you all so stay tuned for the full review that will be released later that night or next day.  Thanks for taking the time to read this and if you enjoyed it please share it with your friends and on social media.
