Premier FC returns this Saturday with their final show of the year and they are expecting to go out with a bang!  This will be their 24th show and it will be taking place in Agawam at Chez Josef.  The doors will be opening up at 6pm and the first fight is set to take place at 7pm.  There are a total of 11 fights on the night with 5 being pro and 3 amateur title fights.  Karyn Wesch, the promoter and matchmaker of Premier FC searched high and low and scoured the earth and finally found an opponent for Miguel Cuevas and that made the card final.  Please follow along with me as I break down the fight card in its entirety.

165 AM Chris Almestica (0-1 Link) vs. Jason Showers (2-5 Xtreme Ambition)

The first fight of the night is between Chris Almestica and Jason Showers.  Chris trains with Team Link and comes into this fight with an 0-1 record.  He lost his first fight by submission against Harrison Adamo at Premier FC 21.  He has been training hard and hoping to secure that first amateur victory this Saturday.  His opponent is Jason Showers and he trains in New York with Xtreme Ambition.  He comes into this fight with a 2-5 record with 1 win by ko/tko and 1 win by submission.  For his losses, he lost 3 by ko/tko and 2 by submission.  Jason always comes out like a bat out of hell and looking for the quick finish.  Will he be successful this Saturday?

145 AM Christian Robinson (0-2 Renzo Gracie CT) vs. Randy Francis (1-3 Darryl's Camp)

Next up is a fight between Christian Robinson and Randy Francis at 145 lbs.  Robinson trains with Renzo Gracie Ct and comes into this fight with an 0-2 record.  He lost both of his fights by way of decision and they were for Reality Fighting.  He is still hungry for his first win.  His opponent is Randy Francis and he trains with Darryl's Camp.  Randy comes into this fight with a 1-3 record with 1 win by ko/tko.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko and 2 by submission.  On paper, this is a real close fight so it should make for good battle.

185 AM Yu Ji (0-0 Radical) vs. Josh Jones (2-1 First MMA/John Raio)

Then at 185 lbs Yu Ji will be taking on Josh Jones.  Yu trains with Radical MMA and he will be making his amateur debut.  His opponent is Josh Jones and he trains with First Class MMA/John Raio.  Josh comes into this fight with a 2-1 record with 2 wins by ko/tko.  His sole loss came by ko/tko against Carlton Charles at a previous NEF show.  I can't give any insight on Yu with it being his first fight but I can say Josh Jones comes out very quickly and has the hands to finish so Yu better be ready.

155 AM TITLE Nick Giulietti (3-1 Ultimate MMA) vs. Antoine Caparotta (4-2 SSSF)

At 155 lbs Nick Giulietti faces off against Antoine Caparotta for the title.  Nick trains with Ultimate MMA and comes into this fight with a 3-1 record.  Out of his 3 wins he won 1 by ko/tko and 2 by way of decision.  For his one loss, he lost it by ko/tko to Swagath Pillai at a previous Reality Fighting event.  His opponent is Antoine Caparotta and he trains with SSSF.  Antoine comes into this fight with a 4-2 record with  1 win by ko/tko, 2 by sub and 1 by decision.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko and 1 by decision.  This is a superb match up and I see it being a very close ground battle.

145 AM TITLE Miguel Cuevas (3-0 Battlecrew) vs. Malek Mahmoud (3-0 Hettes MMA)

Miguel Cuevas will be squaring off against Malek Mahmoud at 145 lbs for the amateur title.  Miguel trains with Battlecrew and comes into this fight with a 3-0 record with all 3 wins by submission.  Fun fact is Miguel will be fighting on 4 straight Premier FC shows which is awesome!  His opponent is Malek Mahmoud and he trains with Hettes MMA.  He comes into this fight with a perfect 3-0 record with 2 by ko/tko and 1 by decision.  The title is up for grabs and both fighters undefeated records are on the chopping block.  Get ready for a war this Saturday!

205 PRO Jahnell Parkinson (0-0 Gracie Secor) vs. Victor Irwin (0-0 Gracie)

For the first pro fight of the night Jahnell Parkinson will be taking on Victor Irwin at 205 lbs.  Jahnell trains with Gracie Secor and will be making his pro debut.  As an amateur he went 3-3 with 1 win by 1 by ko/tko and 2 by submission.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko and 2 by decision.  His opponent is Victor Irwin and he trains with Gracie.  He will also be making his pro debut and for his amateur career he went 3-0 with 1 win by ko/tko and 2 by submission.  A double pro debut and both guys can finish!  I see this one being a quick battle.

185 PRO Mike Hansen (5-7 Berserkers) vs. Reginaldo Felix (1-2 Link)

Then at 185 lbs Mike Hansen will be facing off against Reginaldo Felix.  Hansen trains with Berserkers and comes into this fight with a 5-7 record with 1 win by ko/tko and 4 wins by submission.  For his losses, he lost them by either ko/tko to strikes or submission.  His opponent is Reginaldo Felix and he trains with Team Link.  He comes into this fight with a 1-2 record with 1 win by ko/tko in Round 1.  His two losses came by way of decision.  In this fight both fighters are looking to improve their records with a win and they are both going to leave it all in the cage to do just that.  I see this one being a ground battle.

135 PRO Geoffrey Then (0-1 ATT) vs. Magdiel Matias (0-0 Will Izzary)

Then there is Geoffrey Then taking on Magdiel Matias at 135 lbs.  Then trains with ATT and comes into this fight with an 0-1 record with a decision loss at a previous CES event.  As an amateur he went 2-0 with two wins by decision.  His opponent is Magdiel Matias and he will be making his pro debut.  He trains with Will Izzary and as an amateur had a 6-5 record with 3 wins by ko/tko and 3 by decision.  This is another close battle and I see this one going the distance.

170 AM TITLE Pat Casey (7-1 Link) vs. Jesse Kosakowski (4-0)

In the final title fight of the night Pat Casey will be defending his title against Jesse Kosakowski.  Pat trains with team Link and comes into this fight with a 7-1 record.  Out of his 7 wins, he has 3 by ko/tko and 4 by decision.  This will be his 6th time fighting for Premier FC and his first time defending the 170lb title.  His opponent is Jesse Kosakowski and he comes into this fight with a 4-0 record with 3 wins by submission.  This is going to be another war and I see it being a ground battle.  Casey will want to earn his takedowns to control the fight to win and Jesse will have to be patient and try to secure a submission to get the win.

160 PRO Keenan Raymond (3-4 Team Calvicante) vs. Kastriot Xhema (1-1 ATT)

At 160 lbs Keenan Raymond will be taking on Kastriot Xhema.  Raymond trains with Team Calvicante and comes into this fight with a 3-4 record.  In the win column, he has 1 win by ko/tko, 1 by submission and 1 by decision.  For his losses, he lost 2 by ko/tko and 2 by submission.  His opponent is Kastriot Xhema and he trains with ATT.  He comes into this fight with a 1-1 record with 1 win by ko/tko and 1 loss by ko/tko in which both fights were for Bellator.  This one should be a stand up war.

170 PRO Kemran Lochinov (4-2 Link) vs. Gil Pinheiro (2-3 Thornton MMA)

The main event has Kemran Lochinov taking on Gil Pinheiro at 170 lbs.  Kemran trains with Team Link and comes into this fight with a record of 4-2.  In the win column, he has 2 by ko/tko, 1 by sub and 1 by decision.  For his losses, he has 1 by ko/tko and 1 by submission.  Tapology was missing some fights but you get the idea.  His opponent is Gil Pinheiro and he trains with Thornton MMA.  He comes into this fight with a 2-3 record and I was only able to find his 1 loss by ko/tko to Vini De Jesus.  I feel this fight could go anywhere as I have seen Kemran stand for battles and take fighters down.  Gil I haven't seen that much so anything can happen in this fight!
