📰TEASER--📰CES 67--4/1/2022 Hartford, CT

CES returns this Friday night with another action packed fight card for us to enjoy.  This one will be their 67th installment and it will take place on April 1st at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford.  This is no April Fool's joke, it is really happening! 🤣 Tickets should still be available at CESFIGHTS.com and also at the door.  Another way to watch is to use UFC Fight Pass where you will be able to see most of the card except the undercard fights.  There are a total of 10 professional fights with the main event being for the coveted CES title.  Let me break down the fight card for you all.  I will be skipping over the 0-0 fights to save time.

HVY PRO Markos Pappas (0-0) vs. RJ Hayes (0-0)

125 PRO Jason Huntley (6-10 The Academy MN) vs. Harris Bonfiglio (3-1 Ultimate MMA)

At 125 lbs Jason Huntley will be taking on Harris Bonfiglio.  Jason trains with the Academy of Minnesota and comes into this fight with a 6-10 record.  In the win column, he has 2 ko/tko, 1 submission and 3 by decision.  For his losses, he lost 2 by ko/tko, 3 by submission and 5 by decision.  His opponent is Harris Bonfiglio and he trains out of Ultimate MMA.  He steps into this fight with a 3-1 record with all 3 wins by way of submission.  His 1 loss came by ko/tko at CES 58.  This should be a good scrap and I see it being a ground battle for sure.

155 PRO Eddy George (4-0 FAA) vs. Emiliano Calderon (1-1 Houdini Fight Club)

Then at 155 lbs Eddy George will be squaring off against Emiliano Calderon.  Eddy trains with FAA CT and comes into this fight with a perfect 4-0 with all 4 wins by ko/tko to strikes.  His opponent is Emiliano Calderon and he trains out of Houdini Fight Club.  He comes into this fight with a 1-1 record with 1 win by ko/tko.  There are no details about his loss on Tapology.  Eddy's original opponent dropped out recently so luckily Emiliano stepped in.  I see this one being a stand up battle.

Casey Norton (0-0 Ascension) vs. Pedro Villa (0-0 Empire MMA)

125 PRO David Durao (0-1 FAA) vs. Danny Maldonado (0-4)

Then at 125 lbs David Durao steps into the CES cage against Danny Maldonado.  David trains with FAA CT and comes into this fight with an 0-1 record with 1 loss by decision.  He will be looking for his first pro win of his career.  His opponent is Danny Maldonado and he is an independent fighter.  He comes into this fight with an 0-4 record with 2 losses by submission and 2 by decision.  I see this one being a solid back and forth scrap and I see it going the distance.

205 PRO Mus'aib Baiyina (0-0 Synthesis BJJ) vs. Yuri Panferov (1-0 Ultimate MMA)

At 205 lbs Mus'aib Baiyina will be squaring off against Yuri Panferov.  Baiyina trains with Synthesis BJJ and he will be making his pro debut.  As an amateur he went 4-2 with 2 ko, 1 submission and 1 decision.  His opponent is Yuri Panferov and he trains with Ultimate MMA.  He comes into this fight with a 1-0 record with 1 win by submission.  Yuri is a finisher and I don't see this one going the distance.  This one should be real fun to watch.

135 PRO Tristan Lindi (2-4 Rogue Combat Academy) vs. Mike Kimbel (3-3)

Next up is a 135 lb fight between Tristan Lindi and Mike Kimbel.  Lindi trains with Rogue Combat Academy and comes into this fight with a 2-4 record with both wins by ko/tko.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko, 2 by submission and 1 by decision.  His opponent is Mike Kimbel and he steps into this fight with a 3-3 record.  In the win column, 2 wins by ko/tko and 1 by decision.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko and 2 by submission.  This fight is going to be a fast paced war.  I see both of them standing and slugging it out.  Don't blink on this one.

170 PRO Pat Casey (8-4 G&G) vs. Armus Guyton (5-2 Jackson Wink)

At 170 lbs Pat Casey will be stepping into the CES cage against Armus Guyton.  Pat trains with G&G and comes into this fight with an 8-4 record.  In the win column, he has 2 ko/tko, 3 submission and 3 wins by decision.  For his losses, he lost 2 by ko/tko, 1 by submission and 1 loss by decision.  His opponent is Armus Guyton and he trains out of Jackson Wink.  He steps into this fight with a 5-2 record with 4 ko/tko and 1 win by submission.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko and 1 by decision.  Both of these fighters are tough and I think Casey will want to do what he does best and work his takedowns and dominate on top.  Guyton will want to keep this standing and work his striking to tire out Casey.  This fight has fight of the night all over it.

135 PRO Johnny Lopez (12-5 Underdog) vs. Azjavkhlan Baatar (7-6 CORE)

In the co-main event Johnny Lopez will be fighting Azjavkhlan Baatar in the 135 lb division.  Johnny trains out of Underdog and steps into this fight with a 12-5 record.  For his wins, he has 6 wins by submission and 6 by decision.  For his losses, he lost 2 by ko/tko, 1 by submission and 2 by decision.  Baatar trains with Team Core and comes into this fight with a 7-6 record.  For his wins, he won 3 by ko/tko, 1 by submision, 2 by decision and 1 by DQ.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko, 3 by submission and 2 by way of decision.  Lopez is another one of the victims of his opponent dropping out in the past couple of weeks so luckily Baatar stepped up to the plate.  I see this one being a back and forth battle and going the distance.

185 PRO TITLE Billy Goff (6-2 Dexter) vs. Justin Sumter (8-4 FAA)

In the main event Billy Goff will be challenging Justin Sumter for the vacant 185 lb title.  Goff recently just stepped into this fight a few weeks ago to save it.  He also is going up a weight class and if he is successful in winning this he will tie Matt Bessette's record for someone holding two titles.  Goff trains with Dexter MMA and steps into this fight with a 6-2 record with 4 ko/tko and 2 decision wins.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko and 1 by decision.  His opponent is Justin Sumter and he trains out of Fighting Arts Academy.  He steps into this fight with an 8-4 record with 1 ko/tko, 5 submission and 2 wins by decision.  For his losses, he lost 3 by ko/tko and 1 by submission.  This fight has fight of the night all over it.  Both of these guys are deadly in the cage and I definitely don't see it going all 5 rounds.  I see this one being a slug fest for a while but both fighters are very comfortable on the ground.  This is going to be real fun to watch.
