NEF 68 in Rumford was a finisher’s night. Seven MMA bouts, six of them ended inside the distance — guillotine, three rear-naked chokes, two TKOs, and Avry Jones walking Ben Rogers into a head kick that ended it at 2:59 of Round 1.
Bryce Whittemore needed just over a minute. Georgia Smith locked a guillotine in Round 1. Tyree Durham broke Qasim Abdullah with ground-and-pound in the third. Jethro Pease and Nick Kotiw both found the RNC in Round 2.
The main event was the best fight of the night. Sam Charles and Omar Zarazua went back and forth before Charles slammed Zarazua, took the back, and forced the tap at 0:52 of Round 2 to become the new NEF champion.
NEF also announced Ed Davis vs. CJ Ewer for NEF 69. Another solid Maine card in the books.
