COMBAT ZONE 64 TEASER 11/18/17

Combat Zone returns this Saturday November 18th, 2017 in Manchester NH.    There are at total of 10 fights on the night and 9 of them are mma and two of them are title fights.  This should make for a great night of fights and a solid way to kick off their final show of the year.  The doors will be opening up at 5:30pm and the first fight is set to start at 7pm.  Tickets are still available so go to www.czmma.com and get your tickets.  Let me break down the entire fight card for you.  This should be the final fight order unless a few drop off.  If you can't make the show, have no worry we have the awesome Peggy Morgan covering and she will keep us all in the loop of who owns what kind of cats and who wins.

190 AM KICK Jordan Faulkner (0-0) IND vs. Matt Gordon (2-3) Burgess

First fight of the night is a kickboxing match.

155 AM MMA Nick Roman (0-0) F5 Fight Team vs. Josh Webster (0-0) Redline

The first amateur fight to of the night is between Nick Roman and Josh Webster at 155 lbs.  Roman trains with F5 Fight team and he will be making his amateur debut.  His opponent is Josh Webster and he trains out of Redline.  He also will be making his amateur debut.  Two new fighters looking to make a name for themselves this Saturday!

150 AM MMA Matt Brady (0-0) FTA vs. Kevin Grant (0-0) Renzo Gracie NH

Then at 150 lbs Matt Brady will be taking on Kevin Grant.  Brady trains with FTA and will be making his amateur debut.  His opponent is Kevin Grant and he trains with Renzo Gracie NH.  He also will be making his amateur debut.  Two fresh fighters just starting their mma careers and one of them will get their first win this weekend.

135 AM MMA Fouad Shain (1-0) F5 Fight Team vs. James Ploss (1-1) Kaze

Next up is Fouad Shain against James Ploss at 135 lbs.  Shain trains with F5 Fight team and got his first win by ko/tko to strikes against Carlos Vespaziano.  His opponent is James Ploss and he trains with Kaze Dojo.  He comes into this fight with an 1-1 record.  He has 1 win by submission and his 1 loss by ko/tko to strikes.  As you can see on paper this is a dead even fight which I think will be a great battle.

155 AM MMA Ramano Medina (3-0) Burgess vs. TBD

155 PRO MMA Brandon Odom (0-3) WreckRoom Athletix vs. Gerald Meuse (0-0) Sityodtong

At 155 lbs Brandon Odom will be taking on Gerald Meuse for the first pro fight of the night.  Odom trains with WreckRoom Athletix and he comes into this fight with an 0-3 record.   He lost all 3 fights by ko/tko with all of them stopped in the 1st round.  His opponent is Gerald Meuse and he trains out of Sityodtong.  He will be making his pro debut and as an amateur he went 4-2-1 with 2 wins by ko/tko, 1 by sub and 1 by decision.  I see this one being a stand up battle with the edge to Meuse.

160 PRO MMA Taylor Trahan (6-8) Team Link Hooksett vs. Connor Barry (3-1) Redline

For the next pro fight Taylor Trahan will be facing off against Connor Barry at a catch of 160 lbs.  Trahan trains with Team Link Hooksett and comes into this fight with a 6-8 record.  For his wins he has 3 wins by submission and 3 by way of decision.  For his losses, he lost 5 by ko/tko and 3 by submission.  He is a well rounded fighter and very dangerous on the ground.  His opponent is Connor Barry and he trains with Redline.  He comes into this fight with a 3-1 record with 1 win by submission and 2 by decision.  His 1 loss came by way of decision against Andrew Osborne at a previous CES event.  Barry has more cancelled fights on his tapology account than anybody and thankfully Christmas comes early for him and he has a fight!  This is going to be an awesome ground battle and I see it going to a decision.

185 PRO MMA Tim Caron (7-1) Burgess vs. TBD

145 AM MMA TITLE Ali Zebian (6-3) FAA vs. Nick Fiore (3-1) Renzo Gracie NH

At 145 lbs Ali Zebian and Nick Fiore will go head to head for the coveted 145 lb title.  Zebian trains with Fighting Arts Academy and comes into this fight with a 6-3 record with all 6 wins by ko/tko.  For his losses, he lost 2 by submission and 1 by split decision.  His opponent is Nick Fiore and he trains with Renzo Gracie NH.  He comes into this fight with a 3-1 record with 1 win by ko/tko and 2 by way of submission.  His one loss came by ko/tko slam from Taylor Costantino.  This fight is worthy of a title fight and is going to be a back and forth battle for sure.  Too close to call this one.

145 PRO MMA TITLE Vovka Clay (7-2) Triumph vs. Aaron Lacey (4-0) Young's

In the main event Vovka Clay will be taking on Aaron Lacey for the 145 lb pro title  Clay trains with Triumph and comes into this fight with a 7-2 record.  For the wins he has 1 ko/tko, 5 submission and 1 by decision.  He is on fire right now with 4 straight wins and his last one with a slick guillotine win over Frank Sforza for the Bellator crowd.  For his losses, he lost 2 by decision.  His opponent is Aaron Lacey and he trains with Young's MMA.  He comes into this fight with an undefeated 4-0 record  with 1 ko/tko, 2 sub and 1 decision victory.  In this fight Aaron has never faced as a pro someone as tough as Clay so I give the experience edge to Clay.  However, Lacey is dangerous in all aspects of the cage and he is tough as nails as well.  This is going to be a great one and it will definitely leave the fans with something to talk about in the weeks to come.
