This is great news for all you fighters, so pay attention. XFC is a big mma promotion with 8 shows a year and a deal on national HDNET. They are popular around here and most of you have heard of them because Notorious Nick Newell and Marianna Kheyfets are not currently fighting for them. They have had such great success with these two fighters that they want to have a tryout and its going to happen right here in Western Mass. The day is June 9th at 10am at the Fighting Arts Academy in Springfield MA. The tryout event will be filmed for a special that will air on InsideMMA to!! Best of all, it is only $20 bux to sign up. Now I know XFC only has pro fights so when I asked if amateurs can try out the answer is yes but if they are selected and win then they have to become pro so keep that in mind fighters.
Here are the details of the event..
ALL MMA FIGHTERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND: Amateur, Pro, Female, Male, 125lbs – Super Heavyweight.
The tryout will consist of the following:
- Scramble Drills
- Grappling
- Wrestling
- Pad & Mitt Training
After the above talent drills, several fighters will be brought to the semi-finals where they will spar.
Attendees are encouraged to bring the following:
- Headgear
- Mouthpiece
- Cup
- Shin Guards
- Boxing Gloves
The Tryout at will start at 10:00 AM at the following location:
