New England Fights! Launches App For iPhone and Android

Lewiston, Maine (April 1, 2013) -- New England Fights! (NEF) is proud to announce the launch of the “New England Fights” application. “New England Fights” is now available for free on the iTunes App Store for the iPhone, iPad, iTouch, and in Google Play for Android mobile platform users.

The user-friendly app provides another dimension for fans to experience NEF’s high quality brand of mixed martial arts entertainment. The app provides fans with many of the same features available at newenglandfights.com in a streamlined format for users on the go. After logging into the app, fans can access the official NEF Facebook page and Twitter account, watch official NEF fight videos, listen to the NEF podcast, submit photos and interact with other NEF followers through the Fan Wall, and be the first to receive notices about event discounts and other giveaway offers.

The New England Fights Android and iPhone app is now available for download from the iTunes App Store and Google Play. NEF executives also stated that they plan to track user comments and suggestions to update the mobile app to meet the needs of users.

New England Fights’ next event is scheduled for May 18. At the time of this writing, the fight card for May 18 in Lewiston consisted of ten professional and more than thirty amateur fights. The main event is scheduled to feature Maine MMA legend Marcus "The Irish Hand Grenade" Davis (21-9) battling Darrius Heyliger (4-1). The co-main event will see UFC veteran Henry Martinez (9-5) squaring off with Jamie Harrison (4-1) for the Maine State Lightweight Title. Also on the main card, Travis "The Showstopper" Bartlett (8-3) meets Randy "The Wolf" Smith (14-13-1) for the Maine State Heavyweight Title.
