[CES Press Release]

In a classic battle of youth versus experience, unbeaten featherweight Manny Bermudez faces off against the veteran Saul "The Spider" Almeida at CES MMA 39 on November 4 in Plymouth, Mass.

For Bermudez, a 22-year-old #Abington, Mass., product who brings a 7-0 record into battle, it doesn’t matter that Almeida has 25 fights, along with eight pro boxing bouts, under his belt when he enters the cage.

“I don’t care who Saul is or what he’s done,” the two-time #CESMMA fighter offered. “This is my time. I’m unbeaten for a reason, and nobody is going to stand in my way or break my streak.”

Almeida, fighting out of #Framingham, Mass., by way of #Brazil, began training in karate when he was eight and made his pro MMA debut in 2008. When asked about the undefeated Bermudez, the man fans call “The Spider” shrugged off the question.

“He’s just another guy. I’ve fought some of the best fighters in the sport. I don’t see him hanging with some of the guys I’ve beaten,” matter-of-factly stated the eight-time CES MMA vet. “I’m going to show up on Fight Night, and Manny will be just another opponent in my win column.”
