Cage Titans is ready to storm into 2017 with their first show of the year.  It is set to take place on Saturday January 28th at the Plymouth Memorial Hall in Plymouth Mass. There are a total of 16 fights with 6 of them being professional ones.  Polvere and company worked hard on this card and even added a few more this past week.  The doors will be opening up at 5pm and the first fight is set to start at 6:05pm.  On the card has many of the veterans in the Titans cage with names such as Peter Barrett, Jeff Perez and Johnny Campbell to name a few.  Please follow along as I break down the fight card in its entirety for you.  This should be the exact order the fights are happening that evening.

160 AM Jay-Quan Jackson (5-0, Team Anubis) vs Fabian Miranda (3-0, Juniko)

First fight is between Jay-Quan Jackson and Fabian Miranda.  Jackson trains with Anubis and comes into this fight with a 5-0 record.  He is undefeated with 3 wins by ko/tko and 2 by decision.  His opponent is Fabian Miranda from Team Juniko.  He comes into this fight with a 3-0 record with 2 wins by submission and 1 by decision.  Both fighters are undefeated and they have both proven they can go the distance if needed.  Jackson has the hands to end the fights and Fabian has the submission ground game.  This is a great match up so make sure you don't get to the show late or you will miss out!

140 AM Glen Kasabian (1-0, Nostos) vs Daniel Pina (0-0, Redline)

Second fight of the night is between Glen Kasabian and Daniel Pina at 140 lbs.  Kasabian trains with Team Nostos and comes into this fight with a 1-0 record  with 1 win by ko/tko.  His opponent is Daniel Pina and he trains with Redline.  Pina will be making his amateur debut.  Records are very close and they are both from good schools so should be a solid battle.

135 AM John Semenuk (0-0, Juniko) vs Joe Smith (2-1, Lauzon MMA)

Next up is John Semenuk taking on Joe Smith at 135 lbs.  John trains out of Juniko and he will be making his amateur debut.  His opponent is Joe Smith and he trains with Lauzon's MMA.  He comes into this fight with a 2-1 record with 2 wins by way of decision.  His one loss came against Josh Meehan by submission at Cage Titans 28.  Smith always brings the action so I expect this one to be an exciting back and forth battle.

170 AM Brandon Murphy (0-1, Golden Falcon) vs Rich Hacking (1-0, SSSF)

Then at 170 lbs Brandon Murphy will face off against Rich Hacking.  Murphy trains with Golden Falcon and comes into this fight with an 0-1 record.  He lost his first ammy fight by submission to Jon Ciampa at a previous Cage Titans event.  His opponent is Rich Hacking and he trains with SSSF.  Rich comes into this fight with a 1-0 record with one win by decision back in 2014.  He is ready to jump back into action this Saturday.  Another close battle that should get the crowd on their feet.

175 AM Jon Ciampa (1-2, Connors MMA) vs Tommy Davis (2-0, Juniko)

At 175 lbs Jon Ciampa steps back into the Cage Titans cage against Tommy Davis.  Ciampa trains with Connor's MMA and comes into this fight with a 1-2 record.  He won his sole win by submission and in the loss column, he lost 1 by ko/tko and 1 by decision.  He has fought some tough fighters so far in his amateur career and this fight is no exception.  Tommy Davis trains out of Juniko and comes into this fight with a 2-0 record with both of his wins by ko/tko to strikes.  I expect this fight to be a striking battle and I don't see it going the distance.

160 AM Detrick Keys (1-2, Warrior Warehouse) vs Mike DiNella (1-0, SSSF)

At 160 lbs Detrick Keys will face off against Mike DiNella.  Keys trains with Warrior Warehouse and comes into this fight with a 1-2 record.  He won 1 fight by decision and lost 1 by submission and 1 by decision so far in his amateur career.  He is looking to pull to an even .500 this Saturday with a win.  His opponent is Mike DiNella and he trains with SSSF.  He comes into this fight with a 1-0 record with 1 win by ko/tko in Rd 2 against Osmany Rivera. I just got done watching his CT Snapchat takeover today and man he is a character!  Keys has the couple fight experience in this one but I suspect DiNella will be more than ready for a battle.

165 AM Joshua Valentin (2-3, Bang Muay Thai) vs Ed Forlenza (2-1, Juniko)

Then at 165 lbs Joshua Valentin will square off against Ed Forlenza in the amateur division.  Valentin trains with Bang Muay Thai and comes into this fight with a 2-3 record. He won both of his fights by way of decision.  His opponent is Ed Forlenza and he trains out of Juniko.  He comes into this fight with a 2-1 record with 1 win by ko/tko and 1 by submission.  His one loss came by way of submission against Jimmy Bruce.  Another close battle and I see this one going to a decision.

170 AM Ryan Dunn (0-0, Indy) vs Marty Navis (1-1, Lauzon)

At 170 lbs Ryan Dunn takes on Marty Navis.  Dunn is an independent fighter and will be making his amateur debut.  Navis trains with Lauzon MMA and comes into this fight with a 1-1 record.  In his first fight he had a No Contest and then in his second he lost by decision.  He bounced back with a big ko win over Johnny Rodriguez.  Navis knows how to put on a show as he won amateur knockout of the night.  He would love another epic finish and to win another award.  I expect this fight to be explosive.

185 AM David Sheehan (0-1, Connors MMA) vs Fabio Cherant (1-1, Juniko)

Next up is David Sheehan taking on Fabio Cherant at 185 lbs.  Sheehan trains with Connor's MMA and steps into this fight with an 0-1 record.  In his only fight he lost by ko/tko to Tommy Davis in Rd 2.  His opponent is Fabio Cherant and he trains with Juniko.  He comes into this fight with a 1-1 record with 1 win by submission and 1 loss by decision.  Both fighters are from great schools so I see this fight being a close battle no matter where the fight leads.

155 AM Jurrell Laronal (1-0, Team Trifecta) vs Zach DiSabatino (2-0, SSSF)

At 155 lbs Jurrell Laronal will square off against Zach DiSabatino.  Jurrell trains with Team Trifecta and comes into this fight with an unblemished 1-0 record.  He won his first fight by ko/tko against Jose Atiles.  His opponent is Zach DiSabatino and he trains with SSSF.  He comes into this fight with a 2-0 record with both wins by ko/tko in the first round.  Both fighters are undefeated and have proven they have the heavy hands to end fights.  Don't blink on this one.

155 PRO David McClendon (Victory 0-0) vs. Jimmy Manning (SSSF 1-0)

In the first pro fight of the night David McClendon will face off against Jimmy Manning.  David trains with Victory and he will be making his pro debut.  According to the Cage Titans page David has over 40 amateur fights so no doubt he has the experience.  However I don't know how many of the fights he won but I was able to find that he lost 2 by submission during his career.  His opponent is Jimmy Manning and he trains with SSSF.  He fought at the last Cage Titans and got his first pro win by knockout over Ryan DiBartolomeo.  Manning would love another quick finish!  I see this one being a quick fight with the edge to Manning.

145 PRO Jeff Perez (SBG East 0-0) vs. Ryan DiBartolomeo (Link 0-1)

At 145 lbs Jeff Perez makes his much awaited pro debut against Ryan DiBartolomeo.  Perez trains with SBG East and is more than ready for his pro debut.  As an amateur he went 6-3 with 4 KO, 1 sub and 1 decision.  He was also the 145 lb Cage Titans champ for many fights.  His opponent Ryan trains out of Team Link and comes into this fight with an 0-1 record.  As mentioned above Ryan lost by ko against Jimmy Manning.  As an amateur he went 5-4 with 1 submission and 4 decision.  Both of these guys are very similar in the amateur divisions and I think this fight will be striking battle that will go the distance.

175 PRO Crowsneck Boutin (Independent 2-3) vs. Joe Giannetti (SSSF 2-0)

At 175 lbs Crowsneck Boutin steps in to face Joe Giannetti.  Boutin steps in on a few weeks notice and is an independent fighter.  He comes into this fight with a 2-3 record with 1 win by ko/tko and 1 decision victory.  In the loss column, he lost all 3 by way of submission.  His opponent is Joe Giannetti and he trains with SSSF.  He comes into this fight with a 2-0 record with both wins by way of submission.  I feel this is a tough fight for Boutin and if it goes to the ground Joe is gonna catch him in a sub.  If Boutin can keep it standing and work his strikes against Joe it should be a good fight.

180 PRO Aaron Goodwine (Gracie Tampa 1-0) vs. Sean Bettencourt (Juniko 0-0)

At a catchweight of 180 lbs Aaron Goodwine will take on Sean Bettencourt.  Aaron trains with Gracie Tampa and comes into this fight with a 1-0 record with 1 win by ko/tko.  As an amateur Aaron went 6-1 with 4 ko/tko and 2 subs.  His opponent is Sean Bettencourt and he trains with Juniko.  He will be making his pro debut.  As an amateur he went 5-2 with 4 ko/tko and 1 split decision.  This is an awesome matchup and I think it is safe to say its going to be an all out slugfest.

130 PRO Michael Whaley (Warrior Warehouse 2-4) vs. Johnny Campbell (SSSF 11-9)

The second to last fight is between Michael Whaley and Johnny Campbell at 130 lbs.  Whaley trains with Warrior Warehouse and comes into this fight with a 2-4 record.  In the win column, he has both wins by ko/tko.  For his losses, he lost 3 by submission and 1 by decision.  His opponent is Johnny Campbell and he trains with SSSF.  He comes into this fight with an 11-9 record with 4 KO/tko, 1 sub and 5 by decision.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko, 3 by submission and 5 by decision.  Campbell here clearly has the experience coming into this fight over Whaley and he needs this win badly coming off of 4 straight losses.  I don't know much about Whaley and who he has fought as he hasn't fought around here but I give the edge to Campbell and I see it coming down to decision.

155 PRO Vince McGuinness (Bang Muay Thai 5-5) vs. Peter Barrett (Sityodtong 7-0)

In the main event Vince McGuinness takes on Peter Barrett at 155 lbs.  Vince trains with Bang Muay Thai and comes into this fight with a 5-5 record.  In the win column, he has 1 win by ko/tko, 1 sub and 3 by decision.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko and 4 by decision.  His opponent is Peter Barrett and he trains with Sityodtong.  He comes into this fight with a perfect 7-0 record with 6 wins by ko/tko and 1 by submission.  I see this one coming down to a decision and Peter Barrett's hands being raised.
