Ammo Fight League is ready to return this Saturday March 16th with their 6th event to date.  The show will be held at the Big E Mallary Complex in West Springfield Mass.  The doors will be opening at 5pm, with grappling starting at 6pm and the first mma fight will start at 7pm.  They recently lost their main event with was supposed to have Jon Manley due to his opponent getting in a car accident.  They just added a new fight between Saul Almeida and Rob Fuller giving the show of 12 mma bouts with 5 of them being professional ones.  Also on the card will be 5 grappling matches featuring Nicole Shattuck and Danielle Hindley and also another great grappling match between Jeff Haddad and John Stapleton.  Here are the grappling matches below and please follow along as I break down the mma portion of the night.

GRAPPLING Andrew Kimbel vs. Andres Esparza
GRAPPLING Nicole Shattuck vs. Danielle Hindley
GRAPPLING Jeff Haddad vs. John Stapleton
GRAPPLING Charles Soffen vs. Logan Dias
GRAPPLING Gianna Daniele vs. Ryan Sousa

145 AM Daniel McLendon vs. Donovan Torres (0-0 Regiment)

The first fight is an amateur fight between Daniel McLendon and Donovan Torres at 145 lbs.  I wasn't able to find out any information on McLendon but I would suspect he is a new fighter at 0-0.  His opponent is Donovan Torres and he trains with Regiment.  He will also be making his amateur debut.  This will be a great first fight to kick off the night.

145 AM Anthony Alvarado 0-0 vs. Charra Phon 0-0

This matchup is at 145 lbs and is between Anthony Alvarado and Charra Phon.  Both fighters will be making their amateur debut.  Two new fighters looking to make a name for themselves.

125 Blaze Robinson (0-3 Ravenous) vs. Jonathan Cocoma (0-0 Soul Craft BJJ)

At 125 lbs Blaze Robinson will be taking on Jonathan Cocoma.  Blaze trains with Ravenous MMA and comes into this fight with an 0-3 record.  He lost all 3 of his fights by way of decision.  He is still hungry for his first win.  His opponent is Jonathan Cocoma and he trains with Soul Craft BJJ.  He will be ready for his amateur debut.  I see this one being a close battle and going to a decision.

145 Nate Ghareeb (5-3 FAA) vs. Aaron Hughes (3-5 Regiment)

Then at 145 lbs  Nate Ghareeb will be challenging Aaron Hughes.  Nate trains with FAA and comes into this fight with a 5-3 record.  He has 1 win by tko to strikes, 3 by submission and 1 by decision.  For his losses, he lost 2 by way of submission and 1 by decision.  His opponent is Aaron Hughes and he trains with Regiment.  He comes into this fight with a 3-5 record with 2 wins by ko/tko and 1 by submission.   For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko, 1 by submission and 3 by decision.  This should be a back and forth battle as both fighters always bring it every time.

170 AM Sage Phillipe (1-0) vs. James Thomas (1-0)

Next up is a fight between Sage Phillipe and James Thomas at 170 lbs.  Sage comes into this fight with a 1-0 record  with a decision win over Manu Delerme.  His opponent is James Thomas and he also comes into this fight with a 1-0 record.  He won his first fight by ko/tko to strikes against Jason Showers.  Both of these guys are just starting out and both have identical records so this should be another solid battle.

125 AM Glory Watson (3-0 Young's MMA) vs. Alyssa Marini (2-0 NETT)

In a huge women's showdown Glory Watson will be challenging Alyssa Marini.  Glory trains with Young's MMA and comes into this fight with a 3-0 record.  For her wins, she has 2 wins by submission and 1 win by decision.  Her opponent is Alyssa Marini and she trains with New England Top Team.  She comes into this fight with a 2-0 record with 1 win by ko/tko and 1 by submission.  This has fight of the night written all over it as both fighters are putting their undefeated record on the line and I see this one being a close ground battle.

145 AM TITLE Randy Francis (4-5 Strike Zone) vs. Kenny Champion (4-4 Golden Falcon)

Randy Francis steps into the Ammo cage once again to take on Kenny Champion for the coveted 145 lb Ammo title.  Francis trains with Strike Zone MMA in CT and comes into this fight with a 4-5 record.  For his wins, he has 2 by ko/tko and 2 by decision.  For his losses, he lost 2 by ko/tko, 2 by submission and 1 by split decision.  His opponent is Kenny Champion and he trains with Golden Falcon and he comes into this fight with a 4-4 record.  For his wins, he won 2 by ko/tko and 2 by decision.  For his losses, he lost 2 by ko/tko, 1 by submission and 1 by decision.  Both of these fighters are very active to watch in the cage and they both have plenty of experience in there.  I see this fight being a stand up war.

115 PRO Dan Cormier (6-9 Triforce MMA) vs. Matt Lyall (0-1)

In the first pro fight Dan Cormier will be squaring off against Matt Lyall.  Dan trains with Triforce MMA and comes into this fight with a 6-9 record.  He has 1 win by ko/tko, 1 by submission and 4 by way of decision.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko, 3 by submission and 5 by decision.  His opponent is Matt Lyall and he comes into this fight with a 0-1 record.  He lost his sole fight by ko/tko in Rd 1.  He is still hungry for his first win.  I see this fight being a stand up battle.

140 PRO Will Smith (0-0 ) vs. Bradley Sustad (1-9 Cortland Elite MMA and Fitness)

At 140 lbs Will Smith will be taking on Bradley Sustad.  Will will be making his pro debut and as an amateur went 4-2 1 win by submission and 3 by way of decision.  He will be more than ready to make his pro debut.  His opponent is Bradley Sustad and he trains in NY with Cortland Elite.  He comes into this fight with a 1-9 record with his sole pro win by ko/tko to strikes.  For his losses, he lost 2 by ko/tko, 6 by submission and 1 by decision.  In this match up Sustad has the professional fight experience and Will hasn't fought in about a year.  Personally I don't think that will be a factor in this fight and Will should do fine.  I see this one being a ground battle.

135 PRO Robbie Leroux (5-5) vs. Harris Bonfiglio (1-0 Callandrelli)

At 135 lbs Robbie Leroux will be taking on Harris Bonfiglio.  Robbie comes into this fight with a 5-5 record with 2 by ko/tko, 1 by submission and 2 by decision.  For his losses, he lost 2 by ko/tko, 1 by submission and 2 by decision.  His opponent is Harris Bonfiglio and he trains with Callandrelli MMA.  He comes into this fight with a 1-0 record with his first win by rear naked choke in Rd 1.  Robbie has the fight experience in this one but he hasn't fought since 2014.  Harris is fresh off his pro debut in January so he is ready to go.  I see this one being a ground battle.

160 PRO Saul Almeida (20-10 Sityodtong) vs. Rob Fuller (0-3)

Saul Almeida is set to fight Rob Fuller at 160 lbs.  Saul trains with Sityodtong and comes into this fight with a 20-10 record.  In the win column, he has 2 by ko/tko, 5 by submission and 13 by decision.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko, 2 by submission and 7 by decision.  His opponent is Rob Fuller and he comes into this fight with an 0-3 record.  For his losses, he has 2 by ko/tko and 1 by submission.  I see Saul winning this one by submission in Round 1 or 2.

170 PRO Connor Barry (5-3 Redline) vs. Jesus Cintron (0-5 Independent)

The main event will be Connor Barry against Jesus Cintron at 170 lbs.  Connor trains with Redline and comes into this fight with a 5-3 record.  For his wins, he won 3 by submission and 2 by decision.  For his losses, he has 1 by ko/tko, 1 by decision and 1 DQ.  His opponent is Jesus Cintron and he is an independent fighter.  He comes into this fight with an 0-5 record.  For his losses, he lost 2 by ko/tko and 3 by submission.  I see Barry winning this one pretty easily but then again it is MMA and anything can happen!
