HEAVYWEIGHT SLUGFEST SIGNED FOR NEF 42 IN PORTLAND ON FEBRUARY 8

Portland, Maine (December 24, 2019) – New England Fights (NEF) will hold its next mixed-martial-arts (MMA) event, "NEF 42: Symphony of Destruction," on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at Merrill Auditorium in Portland.  Earlier today, NEF announced the addition of a professional heavyweight bout to the card.  “The Jamaican Shamrock” Ras “Rasquatch” Hylton (4-3) is scheduled to take on Brad Lee (0-0) in the heavyweight division.

 6’6” Ras Hylton will look to bounce back from a loss in his most recent fight against Chris Sarro (1-0) at “NEF 40” last September in Orono, Maine.  It was a temporary setback for Hylton who picked up a win earlier in the year over Charles Penn, Jr. (0-1) when the fight was stopped due to an enormous cut Hylton opened above Penn’s eye with a right hand.  Hylton currently represents both First Class MMA of Brunswick, Maine and Dragon Fire Martial Arts of South Portland, Maine.

 “I’m grateful for the opportunity to redeem myself in my hometown next year,” said Hylton.  “After picking myself up and looking back on the results of this last year, I believe I’m still a very lucky man. So I march onward to 2020 as I will on the rest of my career. With family, team, and nation. No worries, just work.”

Brad Lee

 Brad Lee will make his NEF cage debut on February 8.  He represents Paladin Combat Sports based in Clinton, Massachusetts.  Lee predicts a knockout victory over Hylton in his debut.

 “I look forward to making my debut against Ras, and I have all the respect in the world for him as an opponent,” said Lee.  “With that being said, he’s going to sleep. Again.”
