📰 NEWS--📰 CATCHWEIGHT FIGHT ANNOUNCED FOR NEF 52 IN PORTLAND

[NEF PRESS REEASE]

Portland, Maine (April 17, 2023) – New England Fights (NEF) returns to Aura in Portland, Maine on Saturday, May 13, 2023, with its next mixed-martial-arts (MMA) event “NEF 52: Zero Hour.” Earlier today, the fight promotion announced the addition of an amateur catchweight bout to the card.  Connor Morrill (0-3) will take on William Lagasse (0-0) at a fight weight of 140 pounds.

Connor Morrill will look for the first win of his amateur MMA career at “NEF 52.”  In his previous MMA fights he has taken on three tough opponents with a combined record of 9-5.  Most recently, Morrill made his NEF promotional debut at “NEF 51” earlier this year in Bangor, Maine, losing a hard-fought unanimous decision to undefeated Julian Sirois (2-0).  He was victorious in an amateur kickboxing bout on a fight card in New Hampshire last fall.  Morrill represents Karasu Tengu Academy based in Nashua, New Hampshire.  This will be Morrill’s first fight in his hometown of Portland, Maine.

“I don’t care about winning or losing — I just want my opponent to absolutely hate every minute they’re locked inside that cage with me and that’s my plan for Lagasse,” said Morrill.  “I hope he’s prepared for deep waters. I’m really excited to finally perform in my hometown in front of family and friends and I want to leave them with an unforgettable show!”

William Lagasse will make his amateur MMA debut at “NEF 52.”  He is a native of Steuben, Maine.  Lagasee promises an exciting fight for his debut.

“I want to thank Connor and his team for taking this fight,” said Lagasse. “I’m very excited for my debut and to showcase my skills that I have been sharpening for a few years now. It’s going to be an exciting fight!”

“NEF 52: Zero Hour” will take place on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Aura in Portland, Maine.  Doors will open at 6 pm with first fight taking place at 7 pm.  Tickets are on sale now at www.TicketMaster.com.
