[NEF PRESS RELEASE]

Portland, Maine (December 2, 2023) – New England Fights will present its next mixed-martial-arts event “NEF 56: Satori” on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Aura in Portland.  Doors will open at 6 pm with first fight taking place at 7 pm on February 3.  Tickets are on sale now at www.TicketMaster.com.

Nathaniel Grimard (4-3) will make his return to the NEF cage at “NEF 56.”  Grimard last competed for the promotion in May of 2023.  It will be his first fight back since competing for global promotion Professional Fighters League (PFL) last summer at Madison Square Garden in New York City in a bout that aired on the ESPN+ network.

Felipe Günter (1-0) is scheduled to return at “NEF 56” for his second professional outing.  Günter made his pro debut last September at “NEF 54” with a win over veteran Chris Caterino (4-5).  As an amateur, Günter had held NEF’s bantamweight championship.

Ed “WAR” Davis (1-0) will likewise compete for the second time in the professional ranks at “NEF 56.”  Last month, Davis made his pro debut at “NEF 55” in Bangor submitting James Lawson (0-2) less than a minute into the first round.

Undefeated amateur prospect Danny Buteau (2-0) makes his third appearance with NEF on February 3.  A highly-decorated amateur wrestler, Buteau won four state championships while attending Oak Hill High School in Wales, Maine, and later went on to win a national collegiate title wrestling for Husson University in Bangor.

Also confirmed to appear on the “NEF 56” card are Tyler “Butter Knife” Smythe (4-2), Mark “Pockets” Jack (3-3), Mo Al Kinani (6-2), Lindsey Kelley (3-2), Dalton Rice (1-0), Zach Faulkner (5-4), Jon McNeil (1-0), Justin Alvarez (1-0), and many others.
