This Friday, April 1st Cage Titans Fighting Championship will be putting on its next show entitled 'Vengeance' at the Local 103 Union Hall in Boston, MA. The fight card is stacked from top to bottom with 10 fights scheduled including 4 title fights in the pro and amateur ranks and just added a Super Fight Grappling Match. The Main Event features a battle for the 135lb title between New England’s #2 ranked Tateki Matsuda from Sityodtong Boston and #10 ranked Barrington “Rude Boy” Douse from American Martial Arts Academy. Barrington has been calling out Tateki for a while and the two will finally meet in the cage for the vacant belt.
In the amateur ranks, the number #1 ranked 170lb fighter, ‘The Water Buffalo” Ricardo Georges takes on ‘The Flu’ Keegan Hornstra for the Cage Titans 170lb amateur title. No one locally has wanted to step in the cage as of late with Ricardo and Keegan pushed back his Pro debut for this opportunity!
Also a new champion will be crowned in the 155lb amateur division as well when #4 ranked Joe Pignitore from Team Rockstar steps in the cage with #6 ranked “Ill” Will Chan from South Shore Sportfighting. Both guys are known for their knock-out power so be sure not to blink!
And the final ammy belt that will be up for grabs that night is in the 135lb division when #6 ranked Rico Discuillo of Sityodtong takes on the ultra tough veteran #9 ranked Anthony "Skwirl" Carmenatty. Rico has stopped all of his opponents so far in his career via first round KO but Skwirl is one of those fighters that never gives up and you can never count out of a fight.
As for the Superfight Grappling Match, Cage Titans' 145lb Champion and number 5th ranked fighter Bill Jones takes on multi-promotion champ and #3 ranked Saul Almedia. Saul recently made it through the Ultimate Fighter try-outs so Bill said he is looking to make a statement and show who belongs in the UFC. Saul's response, "Mr. Jones will be lucky to get to the 2nd round, he's gonna feel like a fish outta water...if he wants to back out then I'm giving him a chance to back out and back out now...if not then this will not be in no way shape or form a competitive match, somebody's getting tapped and it ain't gonna be me!"
Cage Titans will also be holding a raffle at Vengeance for a “MMA Fan Package” including two front row tickets for the next Cage Titans Fight and product donated by vendors to benefit Pancan.org. Fighter Eddie Lee from Sityodtong Boston brought this organization to Cage Titans attention, Lee who will be battling it out with Stephen Langlais from BKJA, has recently lost a family member to Pancreatic Cancer and wanted to do something to raise awareness and funds for this cause. Raffle Tickets will be sold at the fight, TapoutT Boston has donated T-shirts and the first 100 people to purchase $10.00 of tickets will receive TapouT T-shirts. Cage Titans has also generously agreed to match the raffle money up to $500.
