BREAKING--CALEB HALL TO FIGHT IN HOME STATE FOR FIRST TIME IN THREE YEARS

[NEF PRESS RELEASE]

Portland, Maine (December 17, 2021) – New England Fights (NEF) returns with its next mixed-martial-arts (MMA) event, “NEF 46: Decade of Dominance,” on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Aura in Portland, Maine. The event will commemorate NEF’s ten-year anniversary. The leading regional promotion launched on February 11, 2012. Earlier today, NEF announced the addition of a professional lightweight bout to the fight card. Former NEF Amateur Featherweight Champion and undefeated professional Caleb Hall (4-0) is scheduled to face New York’s Jerome Mickle (3-10) at a fight weight of 155-pounds.

Caleb Hall hasn't lost in the NEF hexagon in going on seven years. Hall started competing in NEF as a teenager in 2012. He has grown into one of the most storied athletes in the promotion’s history. Dating back to his amateur days, he is riding a seven-fight win streak. Caleb has a perfect 4-0 record as a professional. Since turning pro, he’s stopped all four of his opponents by choke submission in the first round.

Hall hails from Dixfield, Maine where he attended Dirigo High School. During high school, he was a two-time Maine State Wrestling Champion. Caleb now resides in Las Vegas, Nevada where he trains at Syndicate MMA. His homecoming to Portland on February 12th will be his first bout back in Maine in almost three-years.

“I lived in Portland for about five or six years, so it will be a really cool homecoming, I’m excited,” Hall stated. “Mickle has fought for a couple big promotions, including Bellator. He’s mostly a striker. He’s a tough guy.”

Jerome “Da Mechanic” Mickle does not get intimidated by undefeated records. The New York native is a veteran of 20-bouts. His professional and amateur resume dates back almost a decade. Mickle was a multiple-time amateur champion before he turned pro in 2016. Since moving into the pro ranks, he has faced top-tier talent from up-and-down the East Coast. He is a multiple-time Bellator veteran. He represents Yonkyu Judo in Brooklyn, New York.

“I have done this more than I can remember,” Mickle stated when reached for comment. “With all tribulations in life, I still come to the cage to find peace in the chaos. I will either find a way or make one.

“To fight in Maine is cool for me—it's like I'm getting to tour the eastern seaboard in this fight life. I’ve been to so many of the hometowns of the favorites and attempted to break the will of the man across from me. So, this will be fun. I don't have anything ill to say of my opponent. I'm here to work, that's all. Chasing my goals is why I'm here.”

“NEF 46: Decade of Dominance” takes place on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Aura in Portland, Maine.  The event will commemorate NEF’s ten-year anniversary. Doors open at 6 pm with first fight at 7 pm.  Tickets are on sale now at www.Ticketmaster.com.
