📰 NEWS--📰Al Kinani on Upcoming Fight with Erickson: “Expect Nothing But Fireworks”

[NEF PRESS RELEASE]

Portland, Maine (June 22, 2023)

Few stars have taken New England Fights by storm as quickly and with the fanfare that has accompanied Mohammad Al Kinani in his first two years as a professional.

On the heels of a patient and productive amateur career, Al Kinani dispatched his first two pro foes in round one and put himself on the perceived fast track to regional and perhaps national notoriety.

Not even two recent losses – one to a fellow NEF shooting star, and another against an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) veteran – have given the hype meter hiccups.

Everybody who’s anybody on the local lightweight scene in mixed martial arts is acutely aware of one stark reality, however. To get where you’re going, you’ll eventually have to pass muster against Jesse Erickson.

📰 NEWS--📰 AL KINANI READIES FOR WAR AT NEF 50 IN PORTLAND

[NEF PRESS RELEASE]

Portland, Maine (October 17, 2022) – New England Fights (NEF) returns to Aura in Portland, Maine on Saturday, November 12, 2022, with its next mixed-martial-arts (MMA) event “NEF 50.”  Earlier today the fight promotion announced the addition of a professional lightweight bout to the card.  Mohammad Al Kinani (3-1) is scheduled to face Tymar “The Marksman” Miles (0-0) at a fight weight of 155 pounds.

Mohammad Al Kinani is coming off a big win this past weekend in Indiana via first-round technical knockout over Ray Evans (0-2).  It was a comeback victory after Al Kinani’s upset loss at the hands of Ross Dannar (1-0) last spring at “NEF 47.”  Prior to that loss, Al Kinani had won the first two fights of his professional career by first-round finish.  He currently represents Evolution Athletix based in Saco, Maine.

📰 NEWS--📰 MOHAMMED AL KINANI: “I’M HOPING TO COMPETE AT THE HIGHEST LEVELS OF MMA”

[NEF PRESS RELASE]  (Auburn, Maine (April 25, 2022)

A select few times in New England Fights history, a competitor has stormed the scene and generated an immediate buzz among spectators and potential opponents. Buzz being the operative word, because such a fighter saws through the competition sometimes more quickly than the talent pool can keep up.

Mohammed Al Kinani, who is scheduled to collide with Ross Dannar in a professional lightweight bout at NEF 47: “The Battle of L/A” on Saturday, May 14 at Norway Savings Bank Arena in Auburn, Maine, is one such character.

The mixed martial artist known as Mo dispatched nine of his 10 amateur opponents, six of them by early stoppage. Al Kinani (2-0) has been no less authoritative as a pro, taking out Chris Rooney in 42 seconds at February’s NEF 46: “Decade of Dominance” and backing it up with a win over Roy Garza in Fort Wayne, Indiana on April 15.

His recommendation for the scrap with Dannar, who will make his pro debut after three amateur appearances, is that you don’t blink.

🚨BREAKING NEWS--🚨 AL KINANI LOOKS FOR THIRD STRAIGHT PRO WIN AT NEF 47

 [NEF PRESS RELEASE]

Auburn, Maine (April 18, 2022) – New England Fights (NEF) returns with its next mixed-martial-arts (MMA) event “NEF 47: The Battle of L/A” on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Norway Savings Bank Arena in Auburn, Maine.  Earlier today, the fight promotion announced the addition of a professional lightweight bout to the card.  Mohammed Al Kinani (2-0) is scheduled to face Ross Dannar (0-0) at a fight weight of 155 pounds.

Once the hottest amateur prospect in New England, Mohammed Al Kinani has been making his mark in the professional ranks this year.  He picked up the second win of his professional career last Friday on a fight card in Indiana.  Earlier this year, Al Kinani won his pro debut via first-round knockout at “NEF 46.”  He has won seven fights in a row, including his final five amateur bouts – a streak dating back nearly four years.  Al Kinani is undefeated in the NEF cage with four wins all by first-round knockout.  He currently represents Evolution Athletix based in Saco, Maine.

“Luckily, no damage was absorbed during my most recent war against Roy Garza (1-1),” noted Al Kinani of his recent victory in Indiana.  “That means I’ll be back in camp as soon as Monday. No cans, I needed a fucking fight and it seems like I got one. Coming for nothing but blood. 3-0.”

🚨BREAKING--🚨 AL KINANI TO MAKE PROFESSIONAL DEBUT AT NEF 46 ON FEBRUARY 12

Portland, Maine (January 6, 2022) – New England Fights (NEF) returns with its next mixed-martial-arts (MMA) event, “NEF 46: Decade of Dominance,” on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Aura in Portland, Maine. The event will commemorate NEF’s ten-year anniversary. The leading regional promotion launched on February 11, 2012. Earlier today, NEF announced the addition of a professional lightweight bout to the fight card. Mohammad Al Kinani (0-0) is scheduled to face Chris “Ironfist” Rooney (0-1) at a fight weight of 155 pounds.

The fight will be the professional debut for Al Kinani who finished his amateur career with an impressive record of 9-1.  He leaves the amateur division as the number-one ranked lightweight in both New England and the Northeast. Six of Al Kinani’s nine victories have been finishes, including a 34-second knockout in his final amateur fight last fall. The fight with Rooney will be Al Kinani’s first in his home state of Maine in over three years.  He represents Evolution Athletix based in Saco, Maine.

“This fight on February 12th is the first step of a long journey that I’ve been dreaming of for quite some time,” said Al Kinani. “It’s going to be a fight that’ll start and end with a handshake, but you know how I roll once I’m locked in there. It’s all business, baby. That’s what I do: I take care of fucking business.”
