📰 NEWS--📰 MAILLET-FEVENS & PEÑA LOOK TO CLIMB FEATHERWEIGHT RANKS AT NEF 55

[NEF PRESS RELEASE]

Bangor, Maine (October 6, 2023) – New England Fights presents its next mixed-martial-arts event “NEF 55: Glory Days” on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.  Earlier today, NEF announced the addition of an amateur featherweight bout to the card.  Brandon “BAMF” Maillet-Fevens (4-4) is scheduled to face Eddy Peña (2-2) at a fight weight of 145 pounds.

Brandon Maillet-Fevens has had all of his amateur MMA fights to date in the NEF cage.  He started his career at 3-1, earning himself a featherweight title shot at “NEF 44.”  Maillet-Fevens has now challenged twice for the featherweight strap, most recently at “NEF 53” last summer.  All four of Maillet-Fevens wins have come by finish with three submissions and one technical knockout.  He represents Central Maine Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu based in Lewiston, Maine.

“I couldn't be happier to be coming back home to the Queen City,” exclaimed Maillet-Fevens. “I've been working hard and I'm excited to show the fans the improvements I've made in my game. Eddy's a tough kid, but he's not on my level and on November 11th I plan on proving once again that I'm one of the very best in this division.”

📰 NEWS--📰FEATHERWEIGHT TITLE WILL BE UP FOR GRABS AT NEF 53

[NEF PRESS RELEASE]

Portland, Maine (June 24, 2023) – New England Fights returns to Merrill Auditorium in Portland with its next mixed-martial-arts (MMA) event, “NEF 53: American Valor,” on Saturday, July 8, 2023.  Earlier today, the fight promotion announced the addition of an amateur championship bout to the card.  Brandon Maillet-Fevens (4-3) will meet Teddy Politis (5-1) for the vacant NEF Amateur Featherweight Title.

This will be Brandon “BAMF” Maillet-Fevens second attempt at capturing the 145-pound strap.  He previously met Nathaniel Grimard (4-2) for the belt at “NEF 44” in Milford, New Hampshire in the summer of 2021.  Grimard took the title home that evening after a second-round technical knockout of Maillet-Fevens.  Most recently, Maillet-Fevens scored a second-round submission win over Johnny Milligan last February at “NEF 51” to propel himself back into title contention.  Maillet-Fevens represents Central Maine Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (CMBJJ) based in Lewiston, Maine.

BREAKING--UNDEFEATED BEN GRADY STEPS IN AGAINST BRANDON MAILLET-FEVENS AT NEF 46

 [NEF PRESS RELEASE]

Portland, Maine (December 10, 2021) – New England Fights (NEF) returns with its next mixed-martial-arts (MMA) event, “NEF 46: Decade of Dominance,” on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Aura in Portland, Maine. The event will commemorate NEF’s ten-year anniversary. The leading regional promotion launched on February 11, 2012. Earlier today, NEF announced the addition of a professional lightweight bout to the fight card. Ben Grady (2-0) is scheduled to face Michigan’s Brandon Maillet-Fevens (3-2) at a fight weight of 155-pounds.

Back in November, it was originally announced that Maillet-Fevens would be moving up to lightweight to face The Academy’s Emmett Huber (2-1). This week, however, Huber was forced to withdraw from the February bout due to an injury. Soon after Huber removed himself from the card, Evolution Athletix’s Ben Grady (2-0) agreed to the fight against Maillet-Fevens.

“It was unfortunate that Emmett was injured, but I was relieved that there was another guy available to take the fight,” Maillet-Fevens stated. “The opponent may have changed, but the goal remains the same. I'm going to go out there and finish this fight. I’m going right at this guy and I'm chasing a stoppage right from the opening bell.”

Ben Grady made his MMA debut at “NEF 42: Symphony of Destruction” in February 2020. That night, Grady quickly dispatched of Maillet-Fevens’ Central Maine Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (CMBJJ) teammate, Jon Assam (2-3), by TKO in 42-seconds. Last July, Grady traveled to Indiana and stopped his opponent by knockout in just eight-seconds. In both bouts combined, Grady has needed less than one-minute of cage time to become undefeated. Grady is trained by Nate Libby in Saco, Maine.

“I’m excited to compete against an experienced guy with a winning record,” Grady stated. “I will come forward and make February 12th my night.”

“NEF 46: Decade of Dominance” takes place on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Aura in Portland, Maine.  The event will commemorate NEF’s ten-year anniversary. Doors open at 6 pm with first fight at 7 pm.  Tickets are on sale now at www.Ticketmaster.com.

FORMER FEATHERWEIGHT TITLE CHALLENGER MAILLET-FEVENS VS EMMETT HUBER AT NEF 46

[NEF PRESS RELEASE]

Portland, Maine (November 29, 2021) – New England Fights (NEF) returns with its next mixed-martial-arts (MMA) event, “NEF 46: Decade of Dominance,” on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Aura in Portland, Maine. The event will commemorate NEF’s ten-year anniversary. The leading regional promotion launched on February 11, 2012. Earlier today, NEF announced the addition of an amateur bout to the fight card. Former NEF Featherweight Title Challenger Brandon Maillet-Fevens (3-2) is scheduled to move up to Lightweight to face Emmett Huber (2-1) at a fight weight of 155 pounds.

Brandon “BAMF” Maillet-Fevens returned to the cage last August at “NEF 44: Back in Black” in Milford, New Hampshire. That night, Maillet-Fevens fought Nathaniel Grimard (4-1) for the then vacant NEF Featherweight Championship. Grimard stopped Maillet-Fevens via technical knockout (TKO) in the second round to win the belt. Prior to the title bout, Maillet-Fevens had won his last three fights in a row all by stoppage. This will be Maillet-Fevens first fight at lightweight since his MMA debut in 2018. Maillet-Fevens trains under Jesse “The Viking” Erickson (10-8) at Central Maine Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (CMBJJ) in Lewiston, Maine.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to compete once again under the NEF banner and to be a part of this 10-year anniversary show,” Maillet-Fevens stated. “I'll be stepping-up a weight class against a game opponent, but I'm going to bring the fight to him, push the pace, and give these fans the excitement they're looking for. I've yet to need the judges in five fights and this one will be no different. I've had a frustrating couple of years and, unfortunately for my opponent, I'm taking it all out on him. It's going to be fireworks from the opening bell. I plan to beat him from pillar to post until he breaks and either taps or the ref pulls me off him.”
