So there was plenty to see and hear tonight as the fighters gathered for their official weigh-ins. As you can imagine each camp is hoping that they gave their fighters the best possible chance at weighing-in without sacrificing ability. It was a very impressive turnout. Almost all fighters were in attendance in the Massachusetts Room that looks out over the Mullins Center Arena at 6pm which gave me the best opportunity to photograph each pairing. Unfortunately you will notice the lack of a few photos featuring Sarah Payant and her opponent. Denise Goddard, slated to compete at 135lbs, weighed in at 150lbs. The match-up was discussed, but the final solution has not been announced although an email just crossed my path from Match Maker Jason Franklin calling any females in the 120 to 135 lb classes for a grappling match. Could this be the solution? We will just have to wait and see. Till then here are the photos from tonight.
