๐Ÿ“ฐ NEWS--๐Ÿ“ฐ LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE IS UP FOR GRABS AT SOLD-OUT NEF 51

[NEF PRESS RELEASE]

Bangor, Maine (February 5, 2023) – New England Fights (NEF) returns to the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine this Saturday, February 11, 2023, with its next mixed-martial-arts (MMA) event “NEF 51: Banger in Bangor.”  Tickets to the event are sold-out, but a live PPV stream is available at www.CombatSportsNow.com.  Earlier today, the fight promotion announced the addition of an amateur championship fight to the card.  Jared Turcotte (2-0) is scheduled to face Quentin Pasley (5-0) for the vacant NEF Amateur Light Heavyweight Championship.

Turcotte, a member of the Auburn-Lewiston Sports Hall of Fame for his many accomplishments on the football field during his time at Lewiston (Maine) High School and the University of Maine, has been unstoppable in the MMA cage since making his debut at “NEF 48” last summer.  He has needed a mere 48-seconds combined to down both of his previous opponents with one win by knockout and one win by submission.  Turcotte’s intensity in the NEF cage has been unmatched.  He currently represents Central Maine Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu based in Lewiston, Maine.
