COMBAT ZONE 60 TEASER 11/19/2016

Combat Zone returns to a new location and a new day this Saturday November 19th, 2016.  Combat Zone 60 will take place at their new location at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester NH.  The venue will be about the same size but with a little different set up.  The doors will be opening at 5pm and the first fight is set to start at 6pm.  They have a great card that is featuring kickboxing and mma fights.  There are a total of 14 fights with 4 of them being professional ones.  Now I am only going to break down the mma portion of it but the full fight card is found below for your notes.

155 AM KICK Andrew Kamakas (0-0) Fusion Training Academy vs. Justin Brookings (1-0) NETT

145 AM MMA Jon Paul (0-2) Gate City vs. Dan Ward (0-6) Spero's MMA

At 145 lbs Jon Paul will be taking on Dan Ward for the first mma fight.  Paul trains with Gate City MMA and comes into this fight with an 0-2 record.  He lost 1 by ko/tko and 1 by split decision and is still looking for his first taste of victory.  His opponent is Dan Ward and he trains with Spero's MMA.  Ward comes into this fight with an 0-6 record with 1 by ko/tko, 1 sub and 4 by decision.  The great thing about this fight is one of the fighters will get their first W!

175 AM MMA Eric Mora (0-0) Triumph MMA vs. Jon Deupree (1-0) Team Irish

At 175 lbs Eric Mora will square off against Jon Deupree.  Mora trains with Triumph MMA and will be making his amateur debut.  His opponent is Jon Deupree and he trains out of Team Irish. He won his first fight by submission against Sean Bettencourt up in Maine at a Toe 2 Toe event.  In this fight Jon has the 1 fight advantage but I know Eric will be ready being from Triumph so this should be another solid battle.

125 AM MMA James Palmer (1-1) F5 Fight Team vs. Corey Palmer (0-3) Team Link Hooksett

Next up is a 125 lb fight between James Palmer and Corey Palmer.  James trains with F5 Fight team and comes into this fight with a 1-1 record.  He has 1 win by decision and 1 loss by submission.  His opponent is Corey Palmer and he trains out of Team Link Hooksett.  He comes into this fight with an 0-3 record with 1 loss by submission and 2 by decision.  One thing that should be noted is Corey hasn't fought since 2010 but he did have a kickboxing match back in May for Combat Zone to knock the rust off.  Again, another close match up so should be a good one.

145 AM MMA Noey Melendez (0-0) LRVT vs. Eric Johnson (0-0) Team Flo

At 145 lbs Noey Melendez will be taking on Eric Johnson.  Melendez trains out of Lake Regional Vale Tudo and will be making his amateur debut.  His opponent is Eric Johnson and he trains with Team Flo.  He also will be making his amateur debut.  Two new guys, so raw and fresh looking to show they have what it takes to bring home the W.

165 AM MMA Damon Pinks (0-0) Chainsaw Army vs. Nate Mihelis (0-0) CNBJJ

At 165 lbs Damon Pinks is set to fight Nate Mihelis.  Pinks trains with Chainsaw Army out of New York and will be making his amateur debut.  His opponent is Nate Mihelis and trains with Carlos Neto BJJ.  He will also be making his amateur debut.  Not much to predict on this one as they both haven't fought before but they are both from two solid schools.

185 AM MMA Jon McNeil (1-1) Triumph MMA vs. Jordan Faulkner (2-1) Spero's MMA

Jon McNeil  will face off against Jordan Faulkner at 185 lbs.  McNeil trains with Triumph MMA and comes into this fight with a 1-1 record.  He has 1 win by ko/tko and 1 loss by ko/tko.  His opponent is Jordan Faulkner and he trains with Spero's MMA.  He comes into this fight with a 2-1 record with 2 wins by ko/tko to strikes.  His only loss was to John McAndrews in a title fight that went the distance in which he lost by decision.  This should be a very fast paced fight and I see it as a contender for fight of the night.  I don't see it going the distance with both of these caliber of fighters.

135 AM MMA Rachael Joyce (2-0) Team Irish vs. Rachel Reinheimer (2-1) SYT

Next up is a female bout between Rachael Joyce and Rachel Reinheimer at 135 lbs. Joyce trains with Team Irish and comes into this fight with a 2-0 record.  For her wins, she has 1 by ko/tko and 1 by decision.  She is looking to continue her win streak this Saturday.  Her opponent is Rachel Reinheimer and she trains with Sityodtong.  She comes into this fight with a 2-1 record with 2 wins by decision.  She lost her last fight by ko/tko to strikes against Maria Rivera.  I see this one being an all stand up battle and going the distance.  I also think it will be a close battle.

175 AM MMA Lorenzo Fitzgerald (1-1) Gate City vs. Isaih Ocasio (1-1) Ocasio's True Martial Arts

Then at 175 lbs Lorenzo Fitzgerald will take on Isaih Ocasio.  Fitzgerald trains with Gate City MMA and comes into this fight with a 1-1 record.  For his record, he has 1 win by decision and 1 loss by decision.  His opponent is Isaih Ocasio and he trains with Ocasio's True martial Arts.  Isaih has very good striking so keep your eyes peeled on this one fight fans.  He has 1 win by ko/tko and 1 loss by decision.  I see this one being a contender for fight of the night.

150 AM MMA Taylor Costatino (2-2) Team Irish vs. Nick Fiore (1-0) Renzo Gracie NH

For the last amateur mma fight of the night Taylor Costatino will take on Nick Fiore.  Taylor trains with Team Irish and comes into this fight with a 2-2 record.  I wasn't able to find his complete record but he has 1 win by ko/tko and 1 loss by ko/tko.  His opponent is Nick Fiore and he trains with Renzo Gracie NH.  He comes into this fight with a 1-0 record with 1 win by submission.  Again, I sound like a broken record but another solid match up for Combat Zone.  I see this one being a back and forth battle.

185 PRO KICK Buck Pineau (0-1) Team Irish vs. Ralph Johnson (1-1) FAF
175 PRO KICK Crowsneck Boutin (0-0) Team Irish vs. Ray Shawdee (2-0) NETT

135 PRO MMA Chad Kelly (4-2) FAA vs. Jay Perrin (2-2) SYT

For the first pro mma fight of the night Chad Kelly takes on Jay Perrin at 135 lbs.  Kelly trains with Fighting Arts Academy and comes into this fight with a 4-2 record.  For the wins, he has 2 by ko/tko and 2 by submission.  For his losses, he lost 2 by way of submission.  His opponent is Jay Perrin and he trains with Sityodtong.  Jay comes into this fight with a 2-2 record with 1 win by ko/tko and 1 win by decision.  For both of his losses, he lost them by 2 by split decision.  This fight is going to be awesome!  I love both of these fighters and I am so pumped to see them go head to head.  You will not be disappointed with this fight mma fans.

150 PRO MMA Vovka Clay (3-1) Triumph MMA vs. Lewis Corapi (7-3) SYT

In the main event Vovka Clay takes on Lewis Corapi at a catch of 150 lbs.  Clay trains with Triumph MMA and comes into this fight with a 3-1 record.  For his wins, he has 2 by submission and 1 by decision.  For his one loss, he lost a decision to Chris Foster.  His opponent is Lewis Corapi and he trains with Sityodtong.  He comes into this fight with a 7-3 record with 3 by ko/tko, 1 submission and 3 by decision.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko, 1 by sub and 1 by decision.  This fight is worth the price of admission right here folks.  I see this one being a back and forth ground battle.

There you have the complete breakdown of the upcoming Combat Zone 60 card.  Special thanks to Combat Zone for always hooking us up with the info.  Warchild and I are very bummed that we are not going to be able to cover this Combat Zone as we are heading up to Maine to cover NEF.  No worries though, I got The Doctor (James Suchy) and his friend covering the event so you can all read our review a few days after the event.  I will try to get the live updates with the results that night so stay right here as we get you all closer to the cage.
