Image may contain: one or more people and text

After a slight hiccup and the show being pushed back to October 21st, Ammo is ready to roll this weekend.  The show will be taking place in Western Mass at the Big E at the Eastern States Exposition at the Mallory Complex Building.  Please enter at Gate 1.  The doors will be opening at 5pm and the first fight is set to start at 6pm.  There are a total of 8 fights right now on the card.  I have read that they might be adding a few grappling matches.  Tickets are still on sale and will be available at the door.  Keep in mind that this is not the exact fight order and things may change but it should be very accurate.  Please follow along as I break down the entire fight card.

125 AM Blaze Robinson (Ravenous MMA) 0-1 vs. Casey Norton (Team Thunder) 0-0

The first fight of the night is between Blaze Robinson and Casey Norton at 125 lbs.  Blaze trains out of Western Mass with Ravenous MMA located in Greenfield, Mass.  He comes into this fight with an 0-1 record with a loss by decision against John Lessard at a previous Cage Titans event.  He has been training hard and is more than ready for this battle.  His opponent is Casey Norton and he trains out of Team Thunder in CT.  He will be making his amateur debut.  This is going to be a great first battle from these two young ammys.

185 AM Jason Francisco (Plus One Defense) 1-1 vs. Wesley Hall (Team IBA) 0-0

Then at 185 lbs James Francisco will be facing off against Wesley Hall.  Jason trains with Plus One Defense out of CT.  He comes into this fight with a 1-1 record with 1 win by ko/tko and 1 loss by submission.  Ammo fans will remember his last battle at Ammo 2 in which he won by ko/tko against Ray Johns.  He would love another first round stoppage this Saturday!  His opponent is Wesley Hall and he trains with Team IBA.  I believe he will be making his amateur debut.  Obviously in this one Francisco has the 2 fight experience so we will have to wait to see if that will be a factor in this fight.

150 AM Aaron Hughes (Regiment Training Center) 0-3 vs. Randy Francis (Strike Zone) 1-2

Next up is Aaron Hughes taking on Randy Francis at a catch weight of 150 lbs.  Hughes trains with Regiment Training Center and comes into this fight with an 0-3 record.  He lost 1 by ko/tko, 1 by submission and 1 by decision.  He is still hungry for his first taste of victory in the cage.  His opponent is Randy Francis and he trains out of Strike Zone.  He comes into this fight with a 1-2 record with his one win by ko/tko against Shawn O'Dou.  For his losses, he lost 1 by submission and 1 by ko/tko.  Ammo fans will remember at Ammo 1 when he had an all out slugfest against Mike Kimbel.  I, for one would love another slug fest guys!!

170 AM Elias Morales (Plus One Defense) 1-1 vs. Ray Johns (Team Thunder) 1-13

At 170 lbs Elias Morales will square off against Ray Johns.  Elias trains with Plus One Defense and comes into this fight with a 1-1 record.  He has 1 win by ko/tko to strikes and his one loss by decision.  He will be looking to continue his winning ways with a win this Saturday.  His opponent is Ray Johns and he trains with Team Thunder.  He comes into this fight with a 1-13 record with many of his losses by ko/tko and submissions.  His one win came by submission against Jason Showers.  I see this one being a ground battle.

145 AM Stephen Pinard (Jon Manley MMA) 3-0 vs. Mike Kimbel (Team Thunder) 3-4

Stephen Pinard is set to take on Mike Kimbel at 145 lbs.  Pinard trains with Jon Manley MMA  and comes into this fight with a 3-0 record.  Out of his 3 wins, he has 1 win by ko/tko and 2 by way of submission.  This will be his second time fighting for Ammo.  His opponent is Mike Kimbel and he trains with Team Thunder.  He comes into this fight with a 3-4 record with all 3 wins by Ko/TKO.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko, 1 by submission and 2 by decision.  I have seen many of Mike's fights and this kid shows lots of promise and he always puts on a show.  Both of these guys have proven that they know how to win in the cage and that they know how to put on a show.  I  predict this one will be a fight of the night contender.

155 AM Matt Bienia (Zen Quest) 4-0 vs. Swagath Pillai (Plus One Defense) 4-1

Then at 155 lbs Matt Bienia will square off against Swagath Pillai.  Bienia trains out of Zen Quest and comes into this fight with a 4-0 record.  Out of his 4 wins he has 2 wins by ko/tko and 2 wins by submission.  He is putting his undefeated streak on the line this Saturday.  His opponent is Swagath Pillai and he trains with Plus One Defense.  He comes into this fight with a 4-1 record.  He has 2 wins by ko/tko and 2 by decision.  In his one loss he lost by ko/tko to Alex Ortiz.  This right here is another solid fight for Ammo and it really could go either way.

140 PRO Robert Rios (Underdog) 0-0 vs. Erick Santiago (Team Link) 2-1

For the first pro fight of the night Robert Rios will be facing Erick Santiago at a catch weight of 140 lbs.  Rios trains with Underdog BJJ and he will be making his pro debut.  As an amateur he went 3-5 with 2 wins by ko/tko and 1 by decision.  For his losses, he lost 1 by submission and 4 by decision.  His opponent is Erick Santiago and he trains with Team Link.  He comes into this fight by 2-1 with 1 win by ko/tko and 1 win by decision.  He lost his 1 loss by decision to Dan Dubuque at PFC 20.  I see this one being a great back and forth ground battle.

185 PRO Jon Manley (Manley MMA) 9-4 vs. Mike Hansen (Berserkers MMA) 5-6

In the main event Jon Manley takes on Mike Hansen at 185 pro.  Manley trains with Manley MMA and comes into this fight with a 9-4 record.  In the win column, he has 4 by submissions and 5 by decision.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko and 3 by decision.  He has lost 2 straight and is looking to turn that around this Saturday in his home town crowd.  His opponent is Mike Hansen and he comes down from Maine with Berserker's MMA.  He comes into this fight with a 5-6 record with 1 win by ko/tko and 4 by submission.  For his losses, he lost 4 by ko/tko and 2 by submission.  Hansen is no stranger to tough fights with battles against Brendan Battles and Ras Hylton so he is up for the challenge.  I don't see this one going the distance but it should be another solid battle.

Well that about wraps up this teaser.  I hope you all enjoyed reading it as much as I did writing it.  The Results Todd Selva will be there covering for WesternMassMMA.com as I will be busy getting my house ready for my baby boy being born on Monday.  I wish I could be in two places at once but don't worry, Todd will keep us all up to date!
