NEF 32 2/3/2018 TEASER

Image may contain: text

NEF returns this Saturday with another action packed card for the Maine fans.  This will be their 32nd show since their existence and is going to be a great one.  NEF has been tightening down and not having as many fights on a card but in my opinion the fights have been of much better quality.  The show will be having 15 fights total with 5 pro fights including one being a title fight.  Also there are 3 women's bouts which will be sure to please the crowd.  Who knows, there may even be a few celebrities there!  Maybe a few Pat's legends! Let me break down the fight card in its entirety.  This should be the exact fight order of the night.

115 AM BJ Garceau 0-0 (Young’s MMA) vs Sarah Ziehm 1-1 (CMBJJ)

First fight of the night is between BJ Garceau and Sarah Ziehm.  Garceau trains out of Young's MMA and will be making her amateur debut.  Her opponent is Sarah Ziehm and she trains with CMBJJ.  She thankfully stepped up to take this fight on a months notice to replace BJ's previous opponent.  She comes into this fight with a 1-1 record with 1 win by submission and 1 loss by submission.  In this fight Ziehm will have the 2 fight experience but I think BJ will be just fine.  This should be a great first battle.

160 AM Mohammad Al Kinani  2-0 (Evolution Athletix) vs. Isaac Therrien 1-0 (Berserkers MMA)

For the second fight of the night Mohammad Al Kinani will be taking on Isaac Therrien at 160 lbs.  Kinani trains with Evolution Athletix and comes into this fight with a 2-0 record.  He has won 1 by decision and his last one by ko/tko to strikes.  He will be looking to improve to a perfect 3-0 this Saturday.  His opponent is Isaac Therrien and he trains out of Berserkers MMA.  He comes into this fight with a 1-0 record with 1 win by ko/tko at the previous NEF event.  This is going to be an awesome fight as both fighters have never lost and I see this one being a stand and bang battle.

155 AM Stacy Lupo 0-1 (The Outlet) vs David Hart 0-2 (Kenney’s MMA)

At 155 lbs Stacy Lupo is set to take on David Hart.  Lupo trains with The Outlet and he has an 0-1 record.  He lost his first bout by ko/tko to strikes in Round 3 at NEF 24.  He is still hungry for his first win.  His opponent is David Hart and he trains out of Kenney's MMA.  Hart comes into this fight with an 0-2 record with both losses by way of submission.  Again, another close fight on paper and one fighter will be getting his first career win!

175 AM Carlton Charles 1-1 (Charles Fighting Family) vs Delmarkis Edwards 0-0 (Independent)

At 175 lbs Carlton Charles will be facing off against Delmarkis Edwards.  Charles trains with Charles' Fighting Family.  He comes into this fight with a 1-1 record with  1 win by ko/tko and 1 loss by ko/tko.  I have seen both of his fights and they have been exciting battles so this one is sure to be action packed.  His opponent is Delmarkis Edwards and he is an independent fighter who will be making his amateur debut.  We don't know anything about Edwards as he has never fought before but we do know that he has his work cut out for him against a tough Carlton Charles.

135 AM Chelsea Elizabeth 0-1 (First Class MMA) vs Catie Denning 0-0 (Young’s MMA)

Next up Chelsea Elizabeth will be taking on Catie Denning at 135 lbs.  Chelsea trains with First Class MMA and comes into this fight with an 0-1 record.  She lost her first fight at the previous NEF by ko/tko to strikes in Rd 1.  Her opponent is Catie Denning and she trains with Young's MMA.  She will be making her amateur debut.  Both fighters are going head to head to grab their first W so you know they are both gonna bring it.

205 AM Ryan Glover 3-2 (Fire & Iron Athletics) vs Joe Berube 0-0 (3Ronin Athletics)

At 205 lbs Ryan Glover will be taking on Joe Berube.  Glover trains with Fire and Iron Athletics and steps into this fight with a 3-2 record.  In the win column, he won 2 by ko/tko and 1 by way of submission.  For his losses, he lost 1 by submission and 1 by decision.  His opponent is Joe Berube and he trains with 3Ronin Athletics.  He will be making his amateur debut.  In this fight Glover has the 5 fight experience and he will want to use that to his advantage.  Berube will have to shake those first fight jitters fast if he wants to win this one.

145 AM Devin Corson 1-0 (The Outlet) vs Shawn Lunghi 2-0 (RMNU)

At 145 lbs Devin Corson will be facing off against Shawn Lunghi.  Corson trains with The Outlet and comes into this fight with a 1-0 record.  He won his first fight at NEF 27 by decision against Winston Cortez.  His opponent is Shawn Lunghi and he trains with RMNU.  He comes into this fight with a 2-0 record with 1 win by ko/tko and 1 by submission.  I see this one going to a decision.

135 AM Kam Arnold 1-0 (CMBJJ) vs Kyle Kenney 0-0 (Kenney’s MMA)

Then at 135 lbs Kam Arnold is set to take on Kyle Kenney.  Arnold trains with CMBJJ and comes into this fight with a 1-0 record.  His 1 win came by ko/tko against Glen Kasabian in Round 1 at NEF 29.  His opponent is Kyle Kenney and he trains with Kenney's MMA.  He will be making his amateur debut.  Another well matched fight should make for a solid fight.

135 AM Jayda Bailey 1-0 (Young’s MMA) vs Amanda Gallo 0-1 (RMNU)

Next up is Jayda Bailey squaring off against Amanda Gallo at 135 lbs.  Bailey trains with Young's MMA and comes into this fight with a 1-0 record.  After her much awaited debut she quickly won her first bout by ko/tko to strikes in round 1.  Now she is looking to continue that momentum with another win to improve to 2-0 this Saturday.  Her opponent is Amanda Gallo and she trains with RMNU from South Florida.  She comes into this fight with 1 loss by split decision.  This should be another solid battle and a good test for both fighters.

125 AM Nate Boucher 2-1 (CMBJJ) vs Ryan Burgess 2-2 (Beserkers MMA)

At 125 lbs Nate Boucher will be taking on Ryan Burgess.  Boucher trains with CMBJJ and comes into this fight with a 2-1 record.  In the win column, he has 1 win by submission and 1 by decision.  His only one loss came by a shocking split decision loss to Justin Witham.  His opponent is Ryan Burgess and he trains with Berserkers MMA.  He comes into this fight with a 2-2 record with 2 wins by decision.  His 2 losses came by way of submission.  This is going to be an awesome back and forth battle and I see it being a ground battle to a decision.

145 PRO Josh Parker 6-9 (Ruthless MMA & Boxing) vs Aaron Lacey 4-1 (Young's MMA)

The first pro fight of the night has Josh Parker taking on Aaron Lacey.  Parker trains with Ruthless MMA & Boxing and comes into this fight with a 6-9 record.  For his wins, he has 1 by ko/tko, 3 by submission and 2 by way of decision.  For his losses, he lost 6 by submission and 3 by decision.  His opponent is Aaron Lacey and he trains out of Young's MMA.  He comes into this fight with a 4-1 record with 1 win by ko/tko, 2 by submission and 1 by decision.  He is coming off a loss by ko/tko to Vovka Clay at a prior Combat Zone event.  In this fight I see Lacey winning this one on the ground by submission pretty easily but Parker has some power so who knows what will happen!

155 PRO Zenon Herrera 0-6 (Independent) vs Nate Charles 0-0 (Charles Fighting Family)

At 155 lbs Zenon Herrera will be facing off against Nate Charles.  Zenon is an independent fighter and comes into this fight with an 0-6 record.  He lost 2 by ko/tko and 4 by way of submission.  He is still looking to get his first pro W of his career.  His opponent is Nate Charles and he trains with Charles Fighting Family.  Nate will be making his pro debut after a long time off, 2013 to be exact.  As an amateur he went 1-7 with his 1 win by ko/tko.  This is another fight that is a toss up and that makes it a good one.

170 PRO TITLE Kemran Lachinov 5-2 (Team Link) vs CJ Ewer 3-0 (Young’s MMA)
At 170 lbs Kemran Lachinov is heading north from Western Mass to take on CJ Ewer for the title. Kemran trains out of Team Link and comes into this fight with a 5-2 with 2 ko/tko, 1 submission and 2 by decision. For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko and 1 by submission. He went undefeated last year and is looking to start the year 2018 off strong with a bang. His opponent is CJ Ewer and he trains with Young's MMA. He comes into this fight with a 3-0 record with 2 by ko/tko and 1 by submission. This is going to an epic battle of position as both fighters rush in like bulls and love to take their opponents down and make them suffer. This one has potential to be fight of the night and I can't wait!

179 PRO Jesse Erickson 9-7 (CMBJJ) vs Mike Hansen 5-8 (Beserkers MMA)

Jesse Erickson is set to fight Mike Hansen at a weight of 179 I believe was the last they agreed on.  If you don't know what I am talking about read the previous NEF Press Release that was posted a few days ago on this fight.  Erickson trains out of CMBJJ and comes into this fight with a 9-7 record.  In the win column, he has 3 by ko/tko and 6 by submissions.  For his losses, he lost 5 by ko/tko and 2 by submission.  His opponent is Mike Hansen and he trains with Berserkers MMA.  He comes into this fight with a 5-8 record with 1 win by ko/tko and 4 by submission.  For his losses, he lost 5 by ko/tko and 3 by submission.  I think it is pretty safe to say that this fight will not come down to a decision and I see this one ending on the ground.

150 PRO Bruce Boyington 14-11 (Young’s MMA) vs Taylor Trahan 7-8 (Team Link)

In the main event Bruce Boyington returns to the NEF cage against Taylor Trahan at 150 lbs.  Boyington trains with Young's MMA and comes into this fight with a 14-11 record.  Of his 14 wins, he has 8 by ko/tko, 1 sub, and 5 by decision.  For his losses, he has 1 by ko/tko, 9 by submission and 1 by decision.  His opponent is Taylor Trahan and he trains out of Team Link North.  He comes into this fight with a 7-8 record with, 3 wins by ko/tko, 3 by submission and 1 by DQ.  In the loss column, he lost 5 by ko/tko and 3 by submission.  Both of these fighters love to fight on the ground and I see this one being a back and forth battle on the mat.  I know that both fighters are going to bring their A game and I can't wait to see this war.
