(pictured above)Sarah Payant applies one of her lethal chokes in class.On Saturday October 16, 2010, NAGA brings the world’s largest grappling tournaments back to New England for its NAGA Northeast Grappling Championship. Representing Team Ravenous will be Sarah Payant, in the women's 135lb beginner division, and Scott Stacey in the men's 199.9 lb Novice division.
Sarah looks to get back in the winner's column, and walk away with another NAGA medal. She placed third last year in the Novice 135lb division, in her first ever NAGA. She's been training hard, and hopes to impose her will on her competitors. Scott looks to take what he learned from competing at the May NAGA, and this time grapple his way to a medal.
The event takes place in the Twin River Casino’s spectacular 26,000 sq. foot Grand Ballroom. 14 competition rings will be running at once, and thousands of grapplers compete throughout the weekend.
