We have been rocked by the recent Nor Easter from N.J. to Maine and while we would love to move on and resume ordinary things like competing in the 2nd N.E. BJJ Open this coming weekend we can't. Gladiator Santos contacted me this afternoon and regretfully had to announce the postponement of his tournament due to the after effects of the earliest winter storm in recent memory. The storm has effectively disrupted hundreds of thousands of lives and while the electricity and heat has been restored to many homes it isn't available to most. The venue, Springfield Central High School, has been temporarily transformed into a shelter for those awaiting the warmth and comfort of their own beds and homes. Our hearts go out to those who are without those simple comforts including Gabriel. He and his beautiful family are without power as well. O deus é grande. Pode ele abençoá-lo e guardá-lo seguro.
