Tonight is the night folks....promoter Jesse Camp, and match maker "Notorious" Nick Newell bring us the Gauntlet, live from the famous Hu Ke Lau in Chicopee Ma. The card is pretty stacked with talent, from the great ammy match-ups, to the two pro fights. The full card is as follows:

I'm very excited for the whole card, but a few fights really got my attention. First off, we have Hassan Mamhood vs Mike Johnson. Hassan is from the Bombsquad, so we know he'll be prepared, (and probably have a wrestling pedigree to boot...), but I can't wait to see Mike at 135!!! He was a decent sized 145er, and he's making the cut to 135...he should be ripped!!!! Mike is my boy, so I'll be pulling for him to get it done!!
Chad Kelly is another very exciting "little guy". He has a very well rounded game, and I think he'll show the fans just that on his way to another win at 125 against Joe Martinez.
Anthony "Skwirl" Carmenatty will be back in action, facing off against honorable mention, Kurt Chase-Patrick at 135. Skwirl is always a game opponent, and could make his way back into the ammy ranks or HM with a win, while Kurt would surely see his stock rise by defeating Sqwirl.
At 170, we'll see Mike Laduke vs "ThunderPants" Papasian. I don't know much about Laduke, but he better have his submission defense on par, or ThunderPants may walk away with another sik submission victory.
The pro portion of the event, albeit small, should be Very exciting!! The 5-1 Zech Lange out of Bombsquad will face off against undefeated Thane Stimson out of TPS. The one time I saw Thane fight, he was very good, and his manager can't say enough about him. This will be both fighters pro debut, so we'll see how the longer rounds, and use of knees and elbows fit them.
In the Main Event of the evening, we see Will Santiago vs Harley Beekman. Both fighters can get the job done, but Harley has had some time away from the cage, while Santiago is coming off a huge KO victory. We'll see if the ring rust affects Beekman, but coming from a solid team like Bombsquad, that shouldn't be an issue.
Not only do we have these plus several other great match ups, I also can't wait to enjoy some fine polynesian dining while I write my review!!...see you at the Hu Ke Lau!!!
