Friday night brought some of hardest hitting MMA action that we all crave. While many of our local fighters where here in the Baystate throwing leather a select few were out on the bigger stages winning fights and gaining ground in the most aggressive sport in the world.
Nick Newell was one such fighter taking his A game on the road. I was sitting in my living room Friday night tablet in hand waiting for the latest live updates from Premier FC's tourney, C.E.S.'s event, and The UFC while watching Nick make his entrance into the XFC cage for a chance to defend his unbeaten record. This quick clip is all I could find perhaps until the recap tonight on AXS.tv. It shows the last few seconds of the men in action, but really what you can't see is the setup for it all. Nick came out hitting harder than ever. He shook Joe at the root from opening bell to eventual unconsciousness.
Great job Nick. Western Mass is so proud of you and all that you have accomplished.
Look for Nick to make his run for the belt in the coming months. XFC has the match and date announced so follow the men as they prepare.
