NEF 30 LIVE REVIEW 8/5/2017

Image may contain: 4 people, beard and text

We made the 5 hour drive to the Cross Insurance Center and quickly found our way in.  The room is really nice and reminds me of the setup they had at the Cape Cod Show.  The venue is packed with fight fans for a sold out show.  The announcer is Peter Czymbor with his fresh haircut for the night.  The refs are John English and Steve Rita.  They just lost the Aaron Lacey fight and that is due to his opponent being suspended in another state so that is a bummer.  I know I was looking forward to that one.  The fights are about to begin so please follow along as we recap the night.

Jessica gets the takedown and has the half guard position.  She works some ground and pound and gets the stoppage.

Rd 2:  Roger connects with a right that drops Dustin to the mat.  He quickly covers and and going for the finish!!  He has the side and gets pushed back to half guard.  He postures up and gets in some solid shots.  From my seat I can see his head bobbing back with each punch.

185 AM Josh Jones 2-0 (First Class MMA) vs Carlton Charles 0-0 (Charles Family Fighting/Fire&Iron Athletics)

FIGHT OF THE NIGHT:  Fred Lear vs. Walt Shea
SUB OF THE NIGHT:  Ewer arm triangle
KO/TKO OF THE NIGHT:  Carlton Charles!

NEF 31 will be held in their brand new location at a club called Aura in Portland Maine and it will take place on Friday November 3rd.   New England Fights sold out the show by the end of the night and also had a special guest in attendance,  multi million seller musician James Arthur who was on the X Factor UK.  I really enjoyed this show as there were lots of finishes and the crowd was into it.  The sound system was on point and I could hear Czymbor nice and clear.  If you enjoyed this review please share it with your friends!
