COMBAT ZONE 67 TEASER 9/21/2018

Combat Zone returns this Friday evening with a bang with Combat Zone 67.  The event will be at the Double Tree at the Manchester Downtown which I believe is the same place they have been having it.  The doors will be opening at 5:30pm and the first fight is set to start at 7pm.  Warchild and I will be taking the trip so you have no excuse to not show up!  The fight card consists of amateur kickboxing and then amateur and pro mma fights.  As of right now, the fight card has 5 pro fights which is awesome and 1 amateur title mma fight.  For the kickboxing portion they have 5 kickboxing bouts which will be first to kick off the night.  Keep in mind the fight card is always subject to change as they almost always do.  I will be only breaking down the MMA portion but here is the fight order which should be very close to the final card.

145 AM KICK Dave Deluca (0-0) Barenuckle BJJ vs. Isaiah Longs (0-0) FAA
135 AM KICK Dan Ward (0-2) Spero's MMA vs. Stephen Trimino (1-1) Burgess
150 AM KICK Justin Brookings (2-0) NETT vs. Jhon Costa (1-0) BMAC
145 AM KICK Dave Parnell (0-0) Tri-Force MMA vs. Kyle Adams (0-0) Start BJJ
135 AM KICK Chrystal Gaud (0-0) Spero's MMA vs. Alyssa Marini (1-0) NETT/Team Woo

190 AM MMA Spencer Payne (0-0) Ginsberg BJJ vs. Caynen Wills (0-1) High Speed Defense

The first mma fight of the night will be between Spencer Payne and Caynen Wills at 190 lbs.  Payne trains with Ginsberg BJJ and he will be making his amateur debut.  Anyone who follows the sport knows Dave Ginsberg is legit so I know Payne will have a solid ground game coming into this fight.  His opponent is Caynen Wills and he trains with High Speed Defense.  He comes into this fight with an 0-1 record with 1 loss by ko/tko to strikes in Round 1 against Jon McNeil at Combat Zone 65.  This is going to be a good fight to start off the night of mma action!

120 AM MMA Jack Stapleton (0-0) Trifecta vs. Josh Welch (0-0) Bareknuckle BJJ

Then at 120 lbs Jack Stapleton steps into the Combat Zone cage against Josh Welch.  Jack trains with Trifecta and will be making his amateur debut.  His opponent is Josh Welch and he trains wtih Bareknuckle BJJ.  He will also be making his amateur debut.  Two new fighters looking to show their fans that they have what it takes to win!  This should be another solid battle.

138 AM MMA Tom Pagliarulo (1-1) Spero's MMA vs. Edmund Linscott (0-0) IND

Next up is a fight at a catch weight of 138 lbs between Tom Pagliarulo and Edmund Linscott.  Tom trains with Spero's MMA and comes into this fight with a 1-1 record.  He has 1 win by submission and 1 loss by way of submission.  His opponent is Edmund Linscott and he is an independent fighter.  He will be making his amateur debut.  In this fight Tom will have the fight experience and with Edmund not fighting we have no way to know what to expect.  One thing is for certain, we will find out this Friday night.

145 PRO MMA Andres Rodriguez (1-0) NEMMA vs. Rob Fuller (0-0) Klinch Tribe Kombat

The first pro fight of the night is between Andres Rodriguez and Rob Fuller at 145 lbs.  Rodriguez trains with NEMMA and comes into this fight with a 1-0 record.  He won his first pro fight by rear naked choke in round 1 against Joey Sanchez at Combat Zone 66.  He is also very dangerous on his feet.  His opponent is Rob Fuller and he trains with Klinch Tribe Kombat.  He will be making his pro debut and I have not seen him fight so we will have to wait to see how this one pans out.

205 PRO MMA Terrance Jean-Jacques (0-1) Team Link NH vs. Victor Irwin (0-1) Team Panda/Young's

At 205 lbs Terrance Jean-Jacques will be facing Victor Irwin in a huge showdown.  Terrance trains with Team Link-NH and he comes into this fight with an 0-1 record.  He lost his first fight by ko/tko to strikes against William Knight at Premier FC 26.  His opponent is Victor Irwin and he trains with Team Panda and Young's MMA.  He comes into this fight with an 0-1 record with 1 loss by split decision in a really close fight against Jahnell Parkinson.  Both of these guys are wrestlers so this is going to be a big war of position.  I would say this one definitely has the potential of fight of the night.

130 PRO MMA Jeff Silva (2-3) Start BJJ vs. Chad Kelly (4-4) Contenders/FAA

At 130 lbs Jeff Silva will be taking on Chad Kelly.  Silva trains with Start BJJ and comes into this fight with a 2-3 record.  In the win column, he has both wins by submission.  For his losses, he lost  1 by submission and 2 by decision.  His opponent is chad Kelly and he trains with Contenders/FAA.  Chad comes into this fight with a 4-4 record.  In the win column he has 2 wins by ko/tko and 2 wins by submissions.  For his losses, he lost 1 by ko/tko and 3 by submission.  This is a great fight as both fighters are looking to pull their records over .500 and they both have similar styles.  I see this one being a solid back and forth ground battle.

150 PRO MMA Rob Best (0-1) Mohawk Valley vs. Brendon Marotte (2-0) Start BJJ

At 150 lbs Rob Best steps into the cage against Brendon Marotte.  Best trains with Mohawk Valley and comes into this fight with an 0-1 record. He lost his pro debut by decision back in 2017.  As an amateur he went 12-13 with wins by ko/tko, subs and decisions.  His opponent is Brendon Marotte and he trains with Start BJJ.  He comes into this fight with a 2-0 record with both wins by ko/tko.  He went 5-2 as an amateur and is always a pleasure to watch in the cage.  Both of these guys love to fight and I see this one being a slug fest.

175 PRO MMA Nick Alley (3-3) Team Link Hooksett vs. Jesus Cintron (0-2) Old School Boxing

At 175 lbs Nick Alley will be squaring off against Jesus Cintron.  Alley trains with Team Link Hooksett and comes into this fight with a 3-3 record.  Alley won his first 3 fights, 1 by ko/tko and 2 by submission.  Since then he has 3 straight losses with all 3 being by ko/tko.  Don't let his record fool you as Alley is very dangerous and is not afraid of taking tough fights.  His opponent is Jesus Cintron and he trains with Old School Boxing.  He comes into this fight with an 0-2 record with 1 loss by ko/tko and 1 loss by rear naked choke.  I see this one being a ground battle and should be another great one!

170 AM MMA TITLE Duncan Smith (3-2) Evolution Athletix vs. Justin Boraczek (4-1) Spero's MMA

In the main event Duncan Smith will be taking on Justin Boraczek with the coveted Cage Titans amateur title on the line at 170 lbs.  Smith trains with Evolution Athletix and he comes into this fight with a 3-2 record.  For his wins, he won 2 wins by submission and 1 win by decision.  For his losses, he lost both by way of submission.  His opponent is Justin Boraczek and he trains with Spero's MMA.  He comes into this fight with a 4-1 record with 2 wins by ko/tko and 2 wins by submission.  His one loss came by ko/tko against Mo Al Kinani.  This fight is going to be a war and with the belt on the line we know both fighters are gonna give it their all!

Well I hope you all enjoyed the breakdown of Friday night fights that will be happening in Manchester New Hampshire.  Combat Zone always puts on a solid show so make sure you all come on out!
