Fight Day is finally upon us and it hasn't come without a few changes to the Cage Titans card. Cage Titans first started with 3 title fights and 13 total fights but there have been some happenings to that. Lionel Young missed weight and that fight has been downgraded to a non title fight. Giannetti also weighed in heavy and that fight is also a non title fight. These things happen as we all know cutting weight is tough as hell and anything can arise during fight camp that can prevent your usual weight loss. The fight is still on and Giannetti is donating his purse to Bohn. They are also planning on rematching on Feb 25th, Combat Night III. According to Giannetti's latest post if Bohn wins then he will get the title. Then it looks like 3 other fights dropped off the card. With all of that out of the way Cage Titans will still have 10 fights with 4 of them being professional bouts. Please follow along and refresh the article to see all the latest happenings.
143 AM Muay Thai Avery Andrews (0-0, USMMA) vs. Mike Albert (0-0 Skeletor MMA)
Cage Titans Result: Avery Andrews defeats Mike Albert Unanimous decision.
145 AM MMA Josh Telemaque (0-1 Go USFC) vs. Chris McDonnell (1-1 SSSF)
Rd 1: Chris dives for the takedown and gets lands in full mount. He gets pushed off to the side. He gets a crucifix and is peppering him with some shots. He gets in a few more shots and gets the stoppage.
Cage Titans Result: Chris McDonnell defeats Josh Telemaque via tko stoppage to strikes at 1:41 in Round 1.
145 AM MMA Phil LoCigno (0-1 Sityodtong) vs Danny Wahlburg (0-0 USMMA)
Rd 1: Danny goes high that knocks Phil back. Phil takes Danny down and Dan goes for an armbar. He can’t get it and they scramble back to their feet. Phil connects with two good shots. He gets the takedown and has Dan pushed up against the cage. Danny works his way back up and they are both throwing knees from the clinch. Danny connects with a shot that drops Phil. Danny is getting in some more strikes and slips to the mat.
Wahlburg 10-9
Rd 2: Danny connects with a shot that drops Phil. Danny is trying for an armbar and Phil gets out. And the stream died….
Rd 3: Stream is back up….Danny is trying for a takedown and Phil sprawls nicely.

125 AM MMA Jonif Tucker (0-1 Go USFC) vs. Shawn Costello (0-3 SSSF)
Rd 1: Shawn hiptossed Jonif for the takedown. He moves to full mount and drops some heavy bombs. He gets the stoppage.
Cage Titans Result: Shawn Costello defeats Jonif Tucker via tko stoppage to strikes at 34 seconds in Round 1.
145 AM MMA Brandon Demoura (1-1 Soulless) vs Carlos Vespaziano (1-2 Loco Lobo)
Rd 1: Both fighters are feeling each other out. Carlos is working his jab and getting in his kicks.
Vespaziano 10-9
Rd 2: Brandon starts us off with a nice leg kick. Carlos comes back with a leg kick of his own. Back and forth battle. Carlos is pressing Brandon up against the cage. Brandon lands a good shot and the crowd roars.
Demoura 10-9
Rd 3: Carlos goes for a takedown but can’t get it. He is trying for the single leg and Brandon is defending. Brandon with a right hook that connects. Carlos is desperately diving for a takedown. Brandon with a knee to the body. Brandon with another leg kick before the round ends.

Cage Titans Result: First they called out that Carlos Vespaziano defeats Brandon Demoura via split decision. Then they all were standing in the cage for 5 minutes and apparently Brandon Demoura won the fight but since they have it written on the cards that way they can’t overturn it. Brandon can appeal it and overturn it later though.
125 AM MMA Anna Crutchfield (1-2 SBG) vs Erin Johnson (1-0 Lauzon MMA)
Rd 1: They come out swinging for the fences. Anna has a good exchange. Anna is getting the better of the striking so far for sure. Erin gets in a few left hooks that connect. They both are exchanging knees from the clinch.

Rd 2: Anna is pressing Erin up against the cage. Anna is winning the exchanges again. Erin still is getting in her left hooks and staying in the fight.

Rd 3: Anna starts us off with a combo. Anna is pressing Erin up against the cage and getting in some knees to the body.
Cage Titans Result: Anna Crutchfield defeats Erin Johnson via unanimous decision.
140 PRO MMA Jeff Joy (2-0 Loco Lobo) vs Mike Taylor (1-3 Brojo)
Rd 1: Both fighters are being cautious. Mike gets the takedown and is in full mount. Jeff grabs the cage and bucks him off. They are back standing. Mike slams Jeff to the mat and is in guard. Jeff has a kimura and is trying to sweep him. Mike tries to take Jeff’s back and Jeff gets an armbar. Mike slams his way out and is back in guard.
Taylor 10-9
Rd 2: Jeff gets the takedown and is trying to take Mike’s back. He gets the leg triangle lock and is trying hard for the finish. Mike is fighting it hard but after a few minutes he is forced to tap.
Cage Titans Result: Jeff Joy defeats Mike Taylor via tapout to rear naked choke at 2:59 in Round 2.
135 AM TITLE MMA Arthur Mpofu (4-3 SBG) vs. Andrew Valdina (3-1 Lauzon)
Rd 1: They both come out swaanging! Arthur connects with a combo and he presses Andrew up against the cage as the round ends.
Valdina 10-9
Rd 2: They both come out swinging again. Both fighters are working their jabs. Valdina goes high with a kick.
Mpofu 10-9
Rd 3: Andrew goes high with a kick. He gets the takedown and is in guard. Arthur fights his way back up and they are back in the center.
Valdina 10-9
Rd 4: Arthur tries for a takedown but can’t get it. Andrew dives for the takedown but can’t get it. They are both working their jabs this round.

Rd 5: And the stream dies again….Back on with 1 minute left after I restarted it 3 times. They close out the round swinging away!!
Cage Titans Result: Arthur Mpofu defeats Andrew Valdina via split decision. What a 5 round war! Well deserved win and it was razor close. Arthur is the new Cage Titans 135 amateur champ!
135 PRO MMA Joe Penafiel (8-3 Fusion Xcel) vs Lionel Young (10-17 Citadel)
Rd 1: Joe closes the gap and is pressing Lionel up against the cage. Lionel reverses and they are exchanging knees. Not much action and the ref breaks it up. Joe tries for a takedown but can’t get it. Joe dives for a takedown but can’t get it.
Real close round
Rd 2: Chaos at the start of the fight with Boogz talking to the commentator booth saying he got headbutted. Fight starts and Lionel gets in a good right. They clinch up against the cage and exchange knees for a bit then break. Joe dives for a takedown and gets the slam. He is in half guard and is getting in some ground and pound. Lionel slips out and stands up and defends.
Penafiel 10-9
Rd 3: Boogz runs out swinging. They are back to clinching up against the cage again. Joe gets in a good uppercut and Lionel fires back with a right. Joe slams Lionel to the mat and Joe gets in a few hammerfists. One hit the back of the head cleanly. Joe has the back and is trying for the rear naked choke.
Penafiel 10-9
Rd 4: Joe gets the takedown and is trying to take his back. Lionel grabs the leg and slams Joe to the mat. Lionel is trying for a standing arm triangle and Joe slips out! Joe has the back and is looking for the rear naked choke. Lionel is fighting it and turning into it and slips out.
Penafiel 10-9
Rd 5: Joe gets in a few punches and Lionel fires right back with an uppercut. Joe gets the takedown and is getting in some heavy ground and pound. Joe postures up and drops 7 heavy elbows and gets the stoppage.
Cage Titans Result: Joe Penafiel defeats Lionel Young via tko stoppage to strikes at 2:55 in Round 5. What a war!! Penafiel is now the new Interim Featherweight Champ.
155 PRO MMA Joe Giannetti (10-4 AKA) vs. Jacob Bohn (10-8 Bohn MMA)
Rd 1: Bohn starts us out with some leg kicks. Jake goes for a takedown but is stuffed. Jake with another inside leg kick. Joe gets in a solid left hand. Jacob with another good combo. They are both swinging as the round ends.
Bohn 10-9
Rd 2: Jacob gets in an inside leg kick and Joe fires right back with a left. Joe gets a good exchange. Jacob fires back and they clinch and Joe gets in a good knee before they break. Joe with another good left. Joe gets a good kick and Bohn complains about a groin shot. Ref doesn’t stop the action so Joe keeps punching. Then the ref steps in and stops the action. Fight resumes and then time runs out.
Giannetti 10-9
Rd 3: Joe is getting in good combos. Jacob dives for a takedown but Joe makes him pay with some punches. Blood is coming and spraying everywhere. Joe is bleeding near the eye as well. The action is slowing down but they are still swinging away.
Giannetti 10-9
Rd 4: Jacob is working his leg kicks. Joe with another left hand. Joe with another great exchange. Joe gets in another left and Bohn goes down. He gets in a few more punches and gets the stoppage.
Cage Titans Result: Joe Giannetti defeats Jacob Bohn via tko stoppage to strikes at 2:57 in Round 4.
